LGZ moves around the final side of the building, finding little more of interest there than anywhere else.
Kasvot's crispy skin is healed with a quick application of a wand and then the group tries to decide who gets to go in first.
(It is obvious from the remnants that the trap was a one-shot type of item)

Kasvot quickly follows Fromagalli into the house, motioning the others to follow so they can get off the street and out of view. "Don't forget to call in Liet-Gar!" he whispers to the last person outside.
| GM TOP |
Fromagalli moves inside, followed quickly by Kasvot. What they see is chaos.
Scratches and dark stains cover nearly every surface in this spacious living room. To the east, paintings and other once-fine objects give fuel to a fire roaring in the hearth. Bent, broken, and bloody cutlery juts at odd angles from the table in the center of the room. Books lie scattered in heaps next to broken shelves, and shards of shattered dishes spill forth from their cabinets. An open door to the west looks into the filthy kitchen, and stairs to the southwest lead up to the next floor. Tiny bloody footprints cover the stairs, heading in both directions.
Kasvot Vaxt
|
When Kasvot sees the destruction, a low whistle escapes. "This is bad; this looks really bad!" He urgently motions for the others to join him, then he rushes to the fireplace, trying to see if he can safely recover anything from the flames.

Before entering, the bard cups her hands and calls into the night. "cu-KAW, cu-KAW" Wait a bit, birds are asleep now. Again she brings her hands up to her mouth, "me-OW, me-OW". With a satisfied smile, she nods at a job well done.Textbook Pathfinder signalling. I have no idea why my instructor tossed me out of that class. I'm amazing at that. Blended right in. Wait, what if it was too good and Lightenfeffer does not realize they were for him? Naw...I nailed it.
Pleased with her self, the gnome heads inside. Seeing the damage to the home, Dimple lets out a low whistle. "Sleepless night! Look at this place. This boy was a slob."

'Is that hawk fighting a cat? What's a hawk doing out at night...I've GOT to see this!' considers LGZ as he silently makes his way around to the front door.
"Oh, they let you in? Out back looks clear." he whispers, following Dimple through the door.

She will deal with this situation with her usual grace, dignity, and aplomb.
Her eyes fall on the infernal beast and she momentarily freezes. Her mouth drops open as she stands agog. The bard raises her arms and starts pointing at the planar invader; pumping each limb back and forth, as if milking a sideways cow. The gnome tries to look away, but no matter how far she turns her head, she simply cannot stop looking at the hell-spawn. Finally, the whole situation becomes too much. Dimple struggles to pull out her blade as an ear piercing scream erupts from her. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! BY THE STARS!!! ITS A MONSTER!! RIGHT THERE ON THE CHAIR! Killitkillitkillit!" She continues to tug on her blade while staring at the imp, "Ooo... you're a...a bad hell beast....you ...you ..aw c'mon stupid sword!"
Inspire Courage asap (hopefully as a surprise round action).

Dimple points out a creature hiding under the table. It appears to be a tiny devil toy crouched on a chair underneath the table in the middle of the room. It is a very crudely crafted item and obviously some sort of evil monster bad guy toy as it has two sharp knives held in each hand and large teeth poking out of its grinning mouth.

Kasvot wastes no time. "A homonculus! It's a construct, never thought I'd see something like that here. Our Gellion was mixed up in some weird stuff!"
He quickly incants the words necessary to launch a magic missile at the thing.
| GM TOP |
Construct Traits covers all of its resistances and immunities. It has no weaknesses. It doesn't have special attacks other than the ability to craft traps. No special defenses. It's special ability is that it is an unbound homunculi.
The magic missile slams into the creature for full damage.

Nothing of value is visible in the fire and it is roaring quite hard. Without magic, one would need to collect water from the kitchen to put out the fire quickly. Otherwise it would take quite a while to pull things out slowly and stomp them out.
The sneaky sneaks upstairs are mostly quiet, though the red headed gnome is managing to step on all the creaky stairs instead of just half of them.
What do you all do next?
Dimple McSweetness

Family and I were hit with a small cold yesterday. Nothing major, but it put a damper on my posting. Should resume normal pace today.
Everyone works their way upstairs, Niza guarding against anything coming out from the other two doors and LZG whips open the door with a shout, completely defeating the purpose of being sneaky!
The shelves in this storeroom have been ripped off the wall and lie in a heap on the floor, along with their now-wrecked former contents—bloody linens, a broken broom, and other ruined household supplies. Past the storeroom is a tidy washroom that appears oddly untouched by the surrounding messy chaos.
Dimple McSweetness

"Well, that's kind of disappointing. Still, that was a very intimidating yell. Good practice for the next door."
Kasvot Vaxt

"Hmmm, why so much destruction in here, but none in the washroom?" Kasvot studies the mess on the floor, and the order in the washroom, trying to determine if there's an obvious different that explains the mischief.

Fromagalli notices that it looks like the mirror in the bathroom has been rigged to fall once anyone steps inside the bathroom. It doesn't appear to be trip wired or anything, just balanced incredibly loosely on the wall. The footprints are all over the floors, going into and out of all the rooms upstairs, though again the bathroom is oddly void of them.

"Well Lysol-Gar, I guess we need to be real careful opening up these other doors." Dimple moves down the hall and takes a goood looong look at the knob and hinges.

Dimple moves up to a door down the hall, taking her sweet little time to investigate the door, frame and nob. About a minute later she is quite confident that there is no mechanical or magical trap ready to be sprung if it is opened. She does, however, hear the very faint scrape of something moving behind the door.
Dimple McSweetness

The tiny gnome gasps as her eyes go wide. She covers her mouth to keep herself quite. She then spins and runs down the hallway back to the others. "Blrf... bis... GIFFLIG... bin blr!"
