Eyes going wide at Niza's suggestion, LGZ raises a hand slowly. "Uh...I volunteer? AS tribute!"
With a smile, he turns to Dimple and Kasvot. "Let's handle the current problem at hand. If we find some willing to discuss things after hostilities have subsided, perhaps we can find an accord."
20ft reach? Yes please! :-P
| GM TOP |
Okay, the smartest thing that could happen is Niza and Kasvot start casting their spells at the same time and then the others wait to see what happens with the Sleep spell before attacking, so we are just going to skip to the spell resistance checks and then roll a bunch of DC 18 will saves and go from there.

Oooh, dang. Close on one of em.
Two goblins burst out of the woods, precariously but competently riding two goblin dogs. The begin bolting towards the group, get really really sleepy, and decide to lay down and take a nap with a flump. The goblins look like goblins, the dogs look like mangy canines with a face that has the same flat nose, beady eyes, and protruding teeth as a rat grown grotesquely large.

Goblins & Their Dogs (Asleep 20/20)
Now that has been resolved, what do you do next? Damage will wake a goblin or dog (unless they die). Further stuff may also happen depending on whether any enemies continue lurking in the woods.
Kasvot Vaxt
|
"There, Dimple, see? Nice and sleepy-but-not-dead." He scans the woods, looking for more trouble. With his eyes still on the forest edge, he motions to the bodies. "Somebody nock an arrow, just in case, while the rest of us tie them up. Kill the dogs. Anybody have rope?"
Dimple McSweetness
|
"Well, yeah...that's better." But the dogs ARE asleep. Kinda defenseless. But, I don't want them biting anyone. Wouldn't want anyone getting gobo-rabies. Without being privy to her inner monologue, anyone near her hears the gnome mutter, "That would be gross...ick."
Kasvot Vaxt
|
Kasvot will bind a goblin if somebody can give him rope; his pitiful strength prevents him carrying any of his own. That same pitiful strength prevents him from being effective at a coup de grace on a goblin dog.
Liet-Gar Zirulak
|
Giggling as he grows massive, LGZ swings his weapon about a bit. Frowning suddenly as the goblins fall asleep, he asks "So...uh...I don't get to stab them then?"

The bard offers up her leather whip. "You could use this if you want."
Fromagalli

Fromagalli stays silent about the silken rope in his backpack as he did not plan on getting it dirty tying up goblins. knowing our luck it would just be the sheep that spoke common. Interrogating the prisoners would be useful but the dogs are fit for nothing”
Fromagalli will coup de grace the dogs
| GM TOP |
Niza pulls out her silk rope and hands it to Kasvot, "okay buddy, you can use this but it better come back without any goopy ooze so get it clean after, kay?"
Kasvot ties up both goblins, Fromagalli slits one dog's throat and Liet-Gar finishes off the other. Their sad death gurgles echo in Dimple's heart for a few moments before...

...suddenly, the sound of a trumpet rings out over the field, becoming louder as its player approaches. From the east, across the river bursts out a very angry lady goblin with a long polearm. Kasvot wisely doesn't attempt to repeat his trick and make himself a target for all the goblins, instead he seeks cover and improves his defenses.
The three fiendish goblins (See Here for earlier K: Stuff) step forward or move to get into range of their bows. They all fire at the obvious largest and most dangerous target, LGZ. All three arrows thunk squarely into the enlarged elf before he can even think to dodge and these goblins apparently remembered to use the metal tipped arrows. (3 hits, total of... 8 damage!!!)

Fromagalli also moves forward, his sword darting out in a vicious stab, dropping one of the goblin shortbow shooters to the ground.
The screaming goblin woman pulls a javeline and whips it at Fromagalli very angrily! It easily strikes his body, piercing his armor and barely missing a vital organ (5 Damage Fromagalli).

Liet-Gar releases his anger at the world, screaming and stamping around. The goblins take advantage of his movement with the darn offender finding his other big toe and this time striking true (2 damage LGZ). The angry lady with her own reach weapon swings hard, but only finds air. Liet-Gar grins and swings back at one of the goblins, but maybe being so tall is actually making it harder to hit anyone as he just finds dirt with his slash.
The angry goblin lady turns towards the two that remain in her reach AND have harmed her already, slowly waving her weapon back and forth between the two before deciding on one to stabbity stab Niza 1, Kasvot 2: 1d2 ⇒ 1. But his hand slips as he releases the blade and it zips just a bit too high over the target before returning. Dimple steps up, continuing her inspirational message but questioning the wisdom of everyone jumping into the stream, especially since they are moving away from the very nice gnome who was healing them.
Liet-Gar, anger clouding his vision, stopping him from doing anything but try to hack a goblin into smaller goblin chunks, moves away from the one next to him to get a good angle for a swing. It stabs at his calf this time. His blade connects, severing an artery and giving the goblin a nice tasty spray of blood in his face!
