Boron is still fiddling with his cigar... "See who? Oh... haven't looked yet. I was just gonna swing blind, I'm told I never see or notice anything. Right, Vroni?"

Botting Jacob:
Jacob full-defenses and Bodyguards Xagyg.
Boron looks on, trying to find the sniper, when he sees Xagyg’s scorching shot shoot past and nail a person on one of the balconies. The person, practically invisible in the Cuvacaran twilight, turns to Boron and pulls the trigger on their massive firearm!

Boron takes the hit and drops his cigar... "Damn!"
He keeps on moving up.
15 feet I guess

![]() |

"See? I told you they were up there! Try to get to them before they shoot you out of the sky... At the very least, it would create quite a mess..."
Gratified that he is no longer the 'preferred' target, Xagyg takes another shot, sadistically delighted to give his tormentor a taste of their own medicine.

Volcklon Kolsub |

Volcklon shoots right past Boron, following Xagyg’s scorching shot. He looks back to make sure Boron is alright. "You good. That was a nasty hit there!" Looking ahead Volcklon puts his fingers to his forhead and teleports a bit higher up.
Single move. Then flash teleport 30 feet using a resolve point.

Botting Jacob (because he doesn’t really have much better to do; hope you don’t mind Jacob):
Jacob full defenses and Bodyguards Xagyg.
Xagyg’s shot manages to hit Boron’s falling cigar, lighting it mid-air. The attack missed.
Volcklon flies upward, finally able to clearly see the sniper: a gray-skinned elf woman whose appearance seems to disappear into the twilight itself. I’ll put a picture of her up once I have access to my laptop. Only those within 60’ of the sniper can attempt the check below.

Xagyg then takes another shot.

Boron will keep on moving up and over to confront the sniper physically when he reaches her.

Sniper Reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
The sniper once again dodges out of the way of Volcklon’s grease. She tosses the rifle in her hand onto the floor of the balcony next to her and she pulls out a simple hunting knife and slices at Boron!
Sniper vs Boron: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38

Her blade slices deep across Boron’s chest, cutting deep into his armor as her blade glows with magical energy. Yes, she does have enough actions. Also saying that Xagyg and Jacob can’t make the check below because, you know, 150’ of distance.
The cut in Boron’s armor grows dangerously worse as his armor quickly begins to rust over, metal detritus making its way into his wound! Boron’s KAC and EAC both lower by 3 until further notice.
And to be clear, the sniper has a knife in one hand and a pistol in the other. EDIT: And Boron, be glad that I mixed up her tactics and decided NOT to do a trick attack right then.

Boron is never glad.
Trick Attack? The 20 would've been wasted for the trick, then she'd have rolled a 1 and missed the attack part!
Especially when he is sliced.

Xagyg wakes up, shivers in delight at the new chronic wound that he is suffering from, then stands up, and picks up his weapon.

Xagyg sends a message over comms:
"Boron? Are you fighting, or dancing, up there? I am seeing lots of flashy sword-play, and hearing little screaming..."
He then lines up another shot.

It is also flat-footed against this attack, and until the start of my next turn.

Volcklon Kolsub |

It takes a moment to get used to the jetpack, flinging Volcklon all over the air as he stabs down at the sniper's shoulders. "Why do you all keep coming after us? Who sent you?"
Ghost killer wrack devastation blade: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

Basically just assuming that Jacob full-defenses and Bodyguards Xagyg until further notice.
The sniper dodges every attack coming at her, moving as gracefully as a dancer. She stares at her two attackers with cold calculation and cunning, but says nothing. She twirls the knife in her hand once more, moving to strike against the dwarf!

As Boron is slashed, and blood starts to spurt out of the cut, he screams in pain, before trying to answer Xagyg: "Come again? I did not not copy..."
He then tries to collect himself and deliver blows to the white-haired lady--

F Damage: 1d10 + 4 + 5d8 ⇒ (3) + 4 + (8, 5, 6, 3, 8) = 37
Volckon’s strike hits the sniper, but doesn’t seem to affect her in the slightest. Boron’s and Xagyg’s strike against her and has the wind knocked out of her!
Sniper Acrobatics; DC 38: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (19) + 25 = 44
The sniper leaps off of Boron’s blade and runs toward the door into the building from the balcony, where she casts a spell and vanishes! Greater invisibility, but considering Volcklon has see invisibility, her location pretty much won’t be hidden, so I’m going to call this fight here because you’ll eventually get her, but Xagyg isn't the one to down her with his nonlethal damage because she's now out of sight of him.
Everyone please look through the Inventory sheet to see if there’s anything new in there that you guys want. Other than that, everyone is now 10th level!!! This does affect the level of items that you can buy before you head out to the black site. I also need you guys to upgrade your starship to tier 10.
What do you do?

Boron' |

Boron is relieved she is finally down... "Sad so much talent was wasted."

![]() |

I'm sorry - I swear that I posted! From memory, I said something along the lines of:
Xagyg sighs.
"I meant from her Boron, not you, but your point is well made!"
Now:
Xagyg shrugs.
"Well then, she shouldn't have attacked us, and/or should have fled as soon as her mooks were taken down."
He then looks thoughtful.
"Well, we now have even more equipment to sell at the local flea-market. Let's finish our shopping, and be on our way."
As always, I will take any batteries that no-one else wants. Apart from that, I wouldn't mind the Revealing Scope, since I don't have a way to bypass invisibility.

Boron' |

Fine for me if you take all you wish

Volcklon Kolsub |

Volcklon shakily jets back down to the ground before his pack runs out of fuel. The flames out of the back end sputter before going out. "Never was much for flying." He looks around. "Not much of a Market left after those drow tossed grenades throughout it. Plus everyone scattered."

Boron' |

"What a place!
It was safer somehow on the resort station... well, simpler!"

Boron' |

Boron shrugs: "So, what do you think, guys? I am tired of being shot at, and running behind these creeps.
I mean, other than ourselves, we saved not one soul on that station.
Here we are going up against a Corp' that is blasting us left and right every step we take... and we'll probably never manage to beat them to unleashing more havoc.
I say let's just save our own skins, and get out of here before the Shadow hits the fan.
Get a few Drift months between us and this crap.
Once it goes big, the Stewards and Pact Worlds can deal with it.
And we'll be alive."
Boron is ready to go back to the ship, and enter the Drift, headed out of here.
