Volcklon Kolsub |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Volcklon looks over Filip's hanging body. "Who would do something like this..." he moves to lower the man to the ground. "We can't leave him like this. let's at least lay him on the table and cover him up so nobody else walks in on this."
Jacob Andrews |
Jacob gets closer and looks at the hanging body.
Medicine: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
STARS ABOVE! He shouts. HE'S STILL ALIVE! QUICK, HELP ME GET HIM DOWN!
With that he holds out his hand to infuse the poor man with magic, as he and the others help get him down.
I'll cast a cure spell.
Mystic Cure: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
GM Xavier Kahlvet |
Hold on. Stuff happens. Boron. Xagyg. What do you guys do at Jacob’s revelation?
Inspector Xagyg |
Xagyg curses.
"Damn it!"
However, mindful of the sort of sick, twisted minds that might have done that to Filip, he looks for a trap (either of the mechanical, or ambush variety)...
GM Xavier Kahlvet |
As Jacob and Volcklon step towards Filip, they hear menacing laughter as suddenly see two figures step out from behind the massive servers—the Buzzblades Lomer and Virlae.
Stepping out from behind the servers nearest Filip appear two more figures—the dwarf Beryldor, the right side of his mouth ripped away and a bleeding mess and wielding what appears to be a long halberd with a blade of pure ice. Beside the dwarf is the vesk Yazeloya, whose uniform is absolutely shredded as she holds a long length of chain in her hands. Character Profiles Updated (And now you see why I haven’t been using that image of Beryldor this whole time. For Yazeloya, I just wanted to hide the twist with the chain being her weapon)
”Здесь нет ничего для вас,” she says. ”ничего, кроме боли!”
Jacob: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Volcklon: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Xagyg: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Beryldor: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Lomer: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Virlae: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Yazeloya: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
From behind Yazeloya and Beryldor, the halfling stirs. His eyes flutter open before going so wide that they seem ready to pop right out of his skull! Filip screams!
EDIT: I gotta say, this situation scares the crap outta me: being attacked by (almost) an entire team of homicidal professional football/rugby players?! I get that in tabletop it doesn't really sink in too well since it's like "We're adventurers, we deal with this all the time," but this is absolutely frightening when you actually take the time to stop and realize the situation.

Boron' |
I think this is frightening enough right now! I just thought the best idea would be to move out of the room, weld the door shut, and fly away on our vessel.
Boron was ready to send Toothpick flying into the Halfling's skull, quite sure the thing would start attacking them... when he sees the attack unfold.
"Why couldn't they have invited some weak chess players? And why didn't we let the pirates just shoot them up...?"
Inspector Xagyg |
Yes. For a bunch of 'normal' people, this would be utterly terrifying...
Xagyg sighs.
"I take no pleasure in being right..."
He then takes a pot-shot at Beryldor.
Trick Shot (auto if CR 12 or less).
Called, Holy, Ghost-Killer S-Band Scorchgun: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29, for 1d10 + 4 + 4d8 ⇒ (10) + 4 + (1, 7, 6, 4) = 32 Fire damage.
It is also flat-footed against this attack, and until the start of my next turn.
GM Xavier Kahlvet |
Beryldor takes the shot to his chest, not even seeming to care in the slightest.
Virlae sees the gunshot and smirks. She runs along the side of the server next to her and rounds the non-round corner with the shirren in her sights and leaps off the mainframe! Mostly flavor—she did actually run on the side of the server, though.
Acrobatics vs DC 32: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (4) + 22 = 26

”Oh… Oh you are showing the system her truth. You are truly a great acolyte!”
Filip shouts from his place on the far wall, his words causing Lomer to smirk maliciously and rise back up with renewed vigor!
Beryldor moves around the server faster than any dwarf you’ve ever seen—his icy halberd scratching deep into the device as he drags it across the computer—and brings the long weapon’s frozen blade down on Volcklon!

He was down a lot of HP and that was his best healing that I know for a fact that he has (didn’t want to go through posts to see if he had any 3rd slots remaining), and since he was doing it anyway I figured it a good idea to heal everyone in the process; I stand by what I did.
