I am here to spend the entire minute before the fight starts buffing, and then hit things ... probably almost as hard as Bob?
everyone should make sure to purchase things for to cover as many eventualties as possible. for some fights may need a little bit more than brute force.

On another note I got 2 potions of mage armoure with my last 100 gold.

Yeah, there are some issues that I'm not going to deal particularly well with (swarms and flying enemies are the two most obvious off the top of my head, though I'm not completely helpless against either,) but I did try to put a couple utility things in there both spell and item-wise to cover a variety of situations.
I'll find out how prepared I am shortly I'd imagine.
@Bob I don't think that the mage armor will stack with your +1 plate as they're both providing an armor bonus, though I suppose that it'd be additional defense against incorporeal enemies that the plate isn't providing.

honestly, not much else I could find for 100 gold to buy and since ethereal could be a problem it seemed like a ok idea.

Fair enough! And now I've tinkered a bit with equipment and am down to just 2 sp to spend. I think I'll save that for a rainy day.

The rewards can range from a free ASI, a handpicked magic item from me, or to a free feat for your character. Depending.
Also, to make sure its clear, even if you die, you will be allowed to continue the current gauntlet (picking up freshly healed), I will also be keeping track of deaths throughout merely for the sake of bookkeeping. Once everyone has died once, the current gauntlet ends, and we move on to the next one, whether it was "beaten" or not.

Right, I've made some last minute tweaks to the character for optimization at 6th level that can be expanded beyond and figuring out exactly how my preparation at the start of the gauntlet and between fights needs to look. Looking forward to starting tomorrow!

Good luck! Starting with a nat 20 and a 30 initiative is a good omen.
I had thought a natural 20 on initiative placed you first, however I then remembered that was a houserule my old DM used so long ago.
also, you (or) the dragon are as always considered flat-footed until you act.
I also likely should have noted to use the base CL for scrolls, however, It was my slip up, so for this run, consider yourself having pulled one over on me due to negligence ;)
Also, just so everyone knows, I am using a random system to select creatures I pre-selected as my more favored enemies, so even I cannot say what all you will be facing!
However, I do find it quite fitting that a dragon was the opening one... poor thing.

scrolls of higher CL are very expensive...wouldn't touch them

Sorry about that. Is that your policy for potions as well? I didn't need to design this first round around those mechanisms, but they were pretty handy.
Its more of an issue about finding a someone to do it,unless you can make it yourself you would be unlikely to find one, and rather unlikely to spend the money on one.

Yes potions will follow a similiar vibe, not too likely to find many level 20 blokes to craft one for ya. It would also be 3k gold haha, this restriction will likely be waived for the level 20 run.

I should note, I have the Defensive Strategist trait, which prevents me from being flat-footed before acting in combat.
It's a religion trait, so if you want me to change my deity from Irori to Torag, I'm more than fine with that. Enlightened Paladins aren't required to worship Irori (a Lawful Neutral deity), but Torag is Lawful Good, so there's no problem with me switching if need be.

Well, just realized that I have an illegal potion of See Invisiblity (it's a personal spell and can't be a potion.) Any objection to replacing it with a potion of Cure Moderate Wounds (the most basic level 2 potion I can think of)?

The Haste effect from Channel Vigor gives me fly 70 right now. And thanks for the potion change allowance!
