Whew....okay, just let me say as a person...like me the real me...who doesn't used firearms because I don't need them and I haven't fired one since I was like 16. I totally didn't realize the whole noise thing was gonna happen or I wouldn't have done it....but the thing is dead....again, for good...so that's a plus right? Right? It's hard for someone who doesn't use guns, to have a character that uses guns because there are some things that I just don't think about. Did I say that I was sorry?

Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |

Also focusing on holding the coffin lid, Sig is unprepared for the explosive retort. "Aaaggh! I....I can't hear anything!"
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Rosalina Luri |

Well yeah...enclosed spaces and loud firearms do not mix I guess...but I"m sorry, it's not like I was thinking about reverberation....I was just thinking of getting rid of that thing so we could get out of there. I'm sorry. We gotta get out and do the shopping and stuff before it gets much later anyways. I'm still really really sorry. I guess we can taco bout it later?

GM Henry Fortuna |

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Most of you hear the stone lid of one of the coffins hitting the ground as an armored skeleton wielding a longsword emerges.
Initiative:
Frostine: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Dagmarr: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Rosa: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Sig: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Thorgr: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Jerrica: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Skeletal Champion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Round 1: Rosa, Sig, Thorgr, Dagmarr, Frostine, Skeletal Champion, Jerrica

Rosalina Luri |

Looking at the thing come out of the coffin she exclaims as she makes sure the ones that were deafened are aware of the threat, "Look out for big ugly!"
Having picked her gun back up before moving back over to Dagmarr, Rosa reloads it and prays that they can get through this with two of them being deafened, instantly feeling even more guilty about her thoughtless actions just moments earlier.
So, I'm staying where I am and just reloading my gun. I got 16 shots left.

Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |

I actually get a -4 to Init for being deaf so I go the same time as Frostine and Thorgr right after us
A deafened character cannot hear. He takes a –4 penalty on initiative checks, automatically fails Perception checks based on sound, takes a –4 penalty on opposed Perception checks, and has a 20% chance of spell failure when casting spells with verbal components.

Dagmarr |

Too far away to immediately engage the undead, Dagmarr sends another wave of divine energy dushing forth to, hammer away at the unholy warrior, moving past her love to approach it from the left.
Channel Positive Energy: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 = 5
Move to E5

Frostine Finnisson |

Having bigger things to worry about than someone making a mistake and deafening a couple of them.
Moving between two of the coffins to give herself some cover and give the others room to move, Frostine fires off a couple bolts of magic energy at the thing.
MM: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9
Oh yeah, I'm moving to E3

Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |

Seeing the others start at something she couldn't hear and begin to react, Sig turns to face the empowered skeleton. Inspired by her current affliction she opens her mouth in what appears to be a powerful scream, yet makes no noticeable sound.
The sound is really enough however, as it hammers away at the skeleton.
Ear piercing scream: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

Frostine |

Frostine puts her hands on her hips, "Thorgr and Sig are both deaf, and that guy isn't going anywhere. We can go rest and finish it off tomorrow. I see no point in taking anymore risks tonight, I mean unless you want to try and make the rest of us deaf as well?" She asks, leveling a look at Rosa, her voice sounding tired as well as frustrated.
She didn't understand what the rush was, she didn't want to be down here anymore, or risk Rosa firing her gun off in another coffin.

Dagmarr |

"That's more than a little unfair." Dagmarr says giving the sorceress a level look of out own. "Rushing to get things over with is just as much at fault. But fine, we should call it a night and let everyone have a chance to recover."

Rosalina Luri |

Rosa knew that Frostine was just tired and lashing out, but her words still stung slightly. She didn't mean to make them deaf, she was just trying to end the thing.
Shaking her head she says, "No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. We can just go if you're tired."

Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |

Though unable to hear, Dig knew people well enough that she could guess what the tense exchange between the three was about. With a sigh, she moves over to stand beside Jerrica.

Frostine Finnisson |

Frostine's face turns red, "Unfair? She fired her weapon in an enclosed space, while Sig and Thorgr were standing right there trying to hold the stupid lid to the stupid coffin open. She could have hit either one of them. I'm relieved that no one was seriously hurt, but who knows what kind of things are further down, and we can't afford to be careless or rush through this. Our safety is more impirtant than how fast we get through this place."

Rosalina Luri |

Rosa puts a hand on her love's arm, "It's okay, she's right. I wasn't thinking and was careless. I promise to be more careful in the future okay?" She says, speaking in a calm and even tone.

Frostine Finnisson |

Frostine didn't know if it was her voice, or the way she looked at her with those strangely calm violet eyes of hers, but she felt herself calming almost immediately. Her cheeks return to their normal color as she takes a couple of breaths, and let's them out slowly.
She knew accidents happen, she'd made quite a few of her own mistakes. It just scared her, and she didn't react well, especially since it was something that affected the people she cared about.
Sighing she drops her arms to her sides, "Okay. I'm sorry I flipped out. I just don't like dark enclosed spaces anyways, and I'm tired and want to go....but I shouldn't have taken my frustration out on you." Frostine says, feeling bad about losing it in front of everyone.

Frostine Finnisson |

Before they completely leave the temple, or what was under the temple rather, Frostine makes sure that the iron bars are set and locked across the door they came through earlier when Ms. Arista brought them down here. Ensuring that nothing from down below could get out.
As they leave and head back to Arista's house, Frostine leans into Thorgr's side slightly. She hoped that after they got something to eat, got cleaned up, and got some rest that he would be okay.

Frostine Finnisson |

She shrugs, "There were some moments, but for the most part it's cleaned out. The three super heavy coffins posed most of the problem. It's hard killin' something if you can't get to it. Then another one actually made it out of the coffin and we finished it off too. So, there's one left...but we can finish it off tomorrow." Frostine explains without getting into specifics of what happened below.

Arista Seraphis |

Arista looks at the group, narrowing her eyes. "Must have been some strange undead down there, but, yes, I can fix that."
She goes to Thorgr and puts her hands on his ears, a glowing energy flowing through the aasimar. "You're lucky that all I pray for are healing spells...you're even luckier that the gods still listen to me."
She then puts her hands on Sig's ears and repeats the spell. "You should be better now."

Frostine Finnisson |

Frostine looks relieved as Arista heals her husband and her sister. Listening to the exchange she shares a look with Thorgr before looking back at Arista, "Yes, and thank you Ms. Arista." Frostine yawns as she leans into Thorgr a little more, "I guess I'm feeling kinda gross and tired too. Sorry...." She says, before yawning again.

Frostine Finnisson |

Before sitting on her furniture, Frostine goes over all of them and sends all the nasty underground dirt, grime, and sweat into a a sparkly blue ball that dissipates into nothingness, leaving them cleaner and fresher smelling.
Satisfied that they weren't going to mess up her furniture, Frostine goes over to one of the couches and sits down with Thorgr, leaning her head against his shoulder.

Rosalina Luri |

Looking over at Frostine she says, "Thanks, that's a little better." Giving her love a kiss on the cheek she says, "I'm gonna see if I can help Arista with dinner."
Rosa follows Arista into her kitchen, "Is there anything I can do to help? I don't really have much experience cooking, but I can clean and cut up stuff."

Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |

Sig lets out a sigh of relief as her hearing returns, squeezing Jerrica's hand as she hums to herself quietly for a moment, the fear of having lost music, something she hadn't been willing to admit, even to herself until now.

Dagmarr |

Dagmarr slips an arm around Rosa's waist quietly, offering her comfort and support. She notes that Arista must be quite the accomplished healer since the ability to remove deafness was beyond her own ability.

Rosalina Luri |

Before going to the kitchen
Rosa gives Dagmarr a gentle squeeze before stretching up on her toes to give her cheek a soft kiss, "Thank you love, I'm alright. I'm just gonna slip into the kitchen for a moment to see if Ms. Arista needs any help." Giving her hand another gentle squeeze, she heads to the kitchen.
