Arista shrugs. "I've never been to this Valwick place so I'm not sure how far it is from here."
The aasimar gives the group a slight smile. "I don't mind you staying in Ilneas at all. This town could use some new life."
"About two hours northeast of here, if you fly," Arista answers. "Slower if you're walking."
"The riders appeared when the man who brought that misfortune to our town," Arista says. "I doubt they still have any interest in this place, if you found what he was hiding. With the undead gone, perhaps we can rebuild this town."
Arista opens the door for Roshan, Sadhana and the others. "I assume it all went well."
"As you wish," Arista replies to Sadhana. "I wouldn't want to keep you from anything important."
"I do remember hearing about that," Arista says. "The escape plan did not go well, the orcs ambushing the escapees at the tunnel's end. Half of the survivors fled here while the other half presumably made their way to the intended destination. However, any details about that were lost when the cathedral burned down..."
Arista turns her attention to Roshan. "What is it, young man?"
"I'm fine, Frostine," Arista says. "My mind is in many places at once right now."
Arista's face doesn't change at the mention of the cosmic horror. It's as if something else is on her mind.
Arista goes into the kitchen and sets the kettle on the stove. A few minutes later, she returns with two cups of tea. "So, Rosa, what did you find down there?"
Arista opens the door for everyone. She looks to Sadhana, Sienna, Cyna, Celia and Roshan. "Make yourselves comfortable. I have tea, if anyone wants any."
"I'm sure the new arrivals want to hear it too," Arista says to Rosa, turning to go back to the house.
Arista addresses Frostine with only a nod before she opens the letter. A look of mild amusement crosses her face as she reads. Once finished, she folds the letter and tucks it a pocket. "Fine...let's go inside and we'll talk."
Arista taps a finger to her chin. "Sparrowhawke...sounds familiar."
"I'll listen to a good enough reason."
Arista snaps her fingers at the sorceress. "I don't come to your home and tell you what to do. If I frighten the boy, then that's his issue, not mine."
She steps towards Roshan. "You are very fortunate to come here because I always have a spell handy for situations like these."
Her hand glows with a bronze light and she touches Roshan's chest, drawing the poison out of him.
Arista's eyes fall on Roshan, her ruby gaze piercing. "You are new to their group, eh? And poisoned, no less."
Arista comes out of the house with a scowl on her face. She looks from Frostine and the others to the approaching group. Narrowing her eyes, she spreads her wings and walks between both parties. "Why are you here? I told Arista I didn't want to see her again and that sentiment extended to you lot as well."
Arista hands the key into the crypts to Frostine. "I'll make sure I have a meal prepared for when you return."
Arista opens the door. "Good morning. You all look well-rested. I assume you are ready to continue your search."
"You're welcome," Arista says, walking the group to the door. "I'll see you tomorrow then."
Arista shakes her head. "I'll be fine, thank you."
After everyone finishes eating, Arista gathers up all the dishes. "I imagine you're ready for sleep. I'll see you all tomorrow."
"You're welcome. Thank you for helping earlier."
Arista waits for everyone to be seated before serving everyone.
"Hopefully, it will get better for you," Arista says, checking the food once more. "Looks like dinner is ready. Go ahead and call the others to the dining table."
"Sounds like you still have something on your mind."
Arista checks on the biscuits. "Sounds like it."
"Some people are meant to wander, their homes in their hearts," Arista says. "But you don't seem to be one of those. What you need to think about is what you'll do after you settle down. Most adventurers don't plan that far ahead and find themselves filled with wanderlust."
"All too well," Arista replies.
"Just add a bit of seasoning to the water and stir it every so often," Arista answers before looking at Rosa seriously. "Thanking you for doing what's right and sharing is how I was raised. Even though we don't know each other well and you may very well move on after you're done here, I have been taught to never assume anything or take anything for granted, so I try to express gratitude as much as possible and I don't expect to be helped freely."
Arista simply chuckles before going back to her cooking.
"I was planning on making chicken soup with biscuits," Arista says. She gestures at the vegetables. "Feel free to cut those up."
"If you'd like to boil this chicken, that would speed things up a bit," Arista answers.
Arista looks over everything Rosa brought. "Thank you."
She adds some more chicken and vegetables to what she is preparing.
Arista thinks for a moment. "I'll not refuse your generosity."
Arista busies herself with cutting some meager vegetables and chicken.
"About a spoonful will do for each of them," Arista says, handing the spoon and bowl to Rosa.
Arista stirs some dough in a bowl. "I'm making some biscuits, do you think you can handle putting some of this dough on a pan?"
"I'll get started on dinner, just make yourselves as home," Arista says, gesturing at her couches.
Arista's countenance darkens. "Yes, but that's a story for another day. Are you all hungry?"
Arista looks at the group, narrowing her eyes. "Must have been some strange undead down there, but, yes, I can fix that."
She goes to Thorgr and puts her hands on his ears, a glowing energy flowing through the aasimar. "You're lucky that all I pray for are healing spells...you're even luckier that the gods still listen to me."
She then puts her hands on Sig's ears and repeats the spell. "You should be better now."
Arista nods. "They were brave warriors...No, not just them, but we honored them as best we could."
Arista stands at the porch as you return. "You're still in one piece. Color me surprised."
"Or when you're done for the day," Arista replies.
Arista leads you to a set of stairs that end at a stone door. She removes the three iron bars on the front and slides the door open. "Replace those bars once you're done."
Arista turns and leads you to the cathedral. "Just remember not to push yourselves. Otherwise, you might join the ranks of the undead."

You see a curtain in Arista's home shift as you approach and the aasimar walks out of her house to meet you. "Ready?"
Once everyone has finished, Arista leads everyone to her door. "Have a good night."
