Her longsword and longbow both still in hand, Kvina panics for a second as the net falls over her. She gets herself wrangled up in the material for a second before she stops and takes a breath. Think Kvina. Think. Struggling is getting you nowhere, the net is too strong to break and I doubt I could snake my way out easily... Pa always did say cutting things was one of the better ways to get out of something! She takes a second to look at the net and find what looks like a good place to cut herself free before bringing the longword up to saw at it.

I think nets themselves are all pretty big already. @_@ I do believe you get your AoO on the clockwork servant, though! c: And... Sorry, Valistar. That's probably a result of the way I shifted the slides.
Kvina and Valistar free themselves from their nets as Styrian's body ripples and grows into a decidedly larger version of himself. Reassessing the threat level of its opponents, the clockwork servant moves to slam Styrian with one of its mishappen, metal limbs. Amazingly, it misses. Nirion blasts out some more positive energy, bring Valistar back to consciousness, albeit still on the more damaged side. Taking advantage of his greater size, Styrian slams the hammer down on the hound endangering Valistar and it drops with an awkward splatting sound accompanied by a whine.

Kvina drops her longsword to the ground with a clatter and instead retrives a cold iron arrow from her quiver, trying to ignore the prescence of the orange doggo and the blood pooling around it's body. "Styrian, don't move that leg unless you want an arrow to accompany those teeth marks!" She then takes a second to aim at the dog and fires away, first judging the distance and how hard the dog would be to hit before she starts putting on the power.
Free to drop sword and re grasp bow, Standard to fire a regular shot, next round will probably be a deadly aim unless these things are hard to shoot.

The strange device around the demon overlord’s neck pulses with angry green light, its vein-like circuitry illuminating the entire chamber. With a thunderous crack and a blinding flash, a wave of crackling energy bursts from the relic, freezing anything it touches in mid-stride. In the span of several heartbeats, the entire room is locked in stasis. As the combatants stand helpless, the room’s features slowly rebuild themselves as though decaying in reverse. Ghostly figures— dwarves, demons, duergar, and more—flit about the room at incredible speeds, sometimes slowing to speak to one another as if playing out brief scenes from an eclectic play. All the while, frozen Pathfinders and demons who were fighting only moments ago begin to wink out of existence. As the chamber reaches its pristine state, duergar apparitions appear fighting dwarven images, and a slain king rises from death to stand before a stone throne. The room brightens as illuminated torches fill once empty sconces, and the immobile Pathfinders begin to move once more.
The king glowers and shouts from his throne as his honor guard level halberds toward you. ”What is this? What devilish trick sullies the throne room of King Gutheran of Jormurdun? Where are the rest of my soldiers? Where are the duergar who invade my citadel?”
Briefly taken aback, Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine quickly recovers and asks, ”You are Gutheran the Bold?” The dwarf receives the question and sputters at the elf’s audaciousness. Shaine quickly bows and continues. “Your majesty, forgive our intrusion. Some sorcery has transposed our forms into an alternate configuration in temporal space, which is to say we are seeing your time, or you are seeing ours. I am Kreighton Shaine of the Pathfin—”
Angrily perplexed, the dwarven monarch cuts off the Master of Scrolls’s explanation. ”Speak sense, elf! By Torag’s knucklebones, can no one here tell me what in the seventh hell has happened?”
GMs, please move immediately on to Act 5. You do not need to wait for overseer announcements to move between parts of Act 5.

GM Hiyami |

RIP, I thought we might be getting close. Our time for the last bits has been somewhat reduced because it took us a little longer than anticipated to get through the former stages, so I'll be trying extra hard to post twice a day and aggressively botting at appropriate points.
The stout, middle-aged dwarf wears a simple crown of iron on his balding pate and stands before a throne made of the same blackened metal. An honor guard of six armor-clad warriors wielding blood-spattered halberds crowd him protectively. He looks at you and barks, “Has the Dweller Below chewed off your tongue? Begin making sense!”
Kreighton Shaine opens his mouth again, but pauses and sighs, closing it. He, too, turns to you, but this time with a shrug. It seems it's up to the group to appropriately explain the situation.

![]() |

"Tongue? I don't think I had one to start with. Oh, but then how do I make the mouth sounds? I'd never thought about that before," Soddy remarks cheerfully. "Maybe it's magic! But anyway, um, King Gutheran Fleshy, we're here with the Pathfinder Society to learn more about your home..."
Here, the leshy trails off and looks around, curiously. "Oh but everything was all crumbled and destroyed when we came in. Master Shane was talking about uh...wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff, so I think we're actually from the future? But don't worry, we're here to help!"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
"....Aw, that didn't make much sense, did it? Um, maybe Kvina or Nirion can make it make better sense..."

![]() |

Kvina watches the scenery change around her with amazement in her eyes. Finally a story of my own I can tell Mother and Father!
When it becomes clear that they are dealing with a king, Kvina gives a very deep bow and lets the others do the talking for a little, but as it seems they can't simplify things down enough for the king to make sense, she raises her head. "Apologies my lord if we are being to forward or too unclear. I believe my collogues are saying that something has messed with time here. We should not be meeting like this. You were fighting duergar and we had been fighting demons, and likely one of the two sent one of our groups backwards or forwards in time.... I hope that makes more sense."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

![]() |

Arthur stays out of sight, unsure that ancient dwarfs have as cosmopolitan an attitude as Pathfinders when it comes to kobolds.
Take 10 for a 23 Stealth.

GM Hiyami |

Nice job, Nirion!
“Very well. It seems circumstances have brought me the enemy of my enemy. You have come at a difficult time. The duergar have breached our defenses, and despite our bravest efforts, they are winning Jormurdun. I have sent my heirs from this dying place to forge a new future for our people, that they might one day return and claim these halls as their own. Some have stayed behind out of duty or out of love for their homes. I do not know if the duergar or some worse threat still plagues the citadel. Slay my enemies, but spare my people; they are the only legacy left to Jormurdun. If a dwarf should trouble you, inform them that you travel with King Gutheran’s blessing.”
Kreighton Shaine looks up from his writing and says, “Thank you, your majesty. Pathfinders, I’ve studied our surroundings and can conclude that whatever has shifted our place in time is unstable and cannot last. We have perhaps an hour—maybe two—before it collapses, and when that happens, I think it wise that we not be inside. Make your way back to the Grand Cathedral in a timely fashion. But…” he trails off while gazing at the beautiful throne room. “We can’t ignore this splendid opportunity to explore Jormurdun as it was thousands of years ago! Retrace the steps you took to get here, see what has changed, and document what you see. I’ve been able to record brief instructions based on what I have already learned of your earlier discoveries. Be wise, be brave, and make haste!”
Kreighton passes over several pieces of paper on which his instructions are noted.
Okay, so the time shift has messed with your expended class abilities a bit, so each of you can choose two of the following benefits, and the same benefit can be selected twice to double its effects!
A. Recover one or more spells whose total levels are equal to your character level.
B. Regain one daily use of a class feature. If you would normally be able to use the feature five or more times in one day, instead regain two uses.
C. Heal 1d2 points of damage to all ability scores.
D. Heal 1d8 hit points. Add your character level to the number of hit points recovered.

The ravages of time erased, this grand hall sweeps open before you. A gigantic archway is formed by the arms of enormous twin statues, each proudly holding a hammer aloft. Other smaller statues stand at attention, firm and resolute, painted in lifelike detail. Kvina didn't use anything she could recover. (Dangnabit Lay-on-Hands would have been good to use here or there, I forget she has that.) One question though, did Kvina ever have enough time to go and pick up all those arrows she used? They are all durable, so unless the dogs or constructs had some kind of damaging auras they should be safe.
Kvina, stares at the finished grand hall in complete amazement, and pulls out a notebook to take a few notes and try getting a sketch of the place. Her family were not going to beieve her about this place.
"Just give me a second to get that expression right... Okay let's get moving!"
