Samaan al-Arras

"Don't let him get away!" Samaan shifts position to continue his campaign of distraction, then once again tries to aid Rishaal's attack. Not being any sort of trained fighter, however, he's not very effective and narrowly avoids hitting Rishaal instead.

Hannah conserves her ammo seeing as her bullet is likely to be deflected and isn't cheap to replace.
Xavier manages to land a blow on the extremely nimble fetchling, but it still is not enough to knock the creature out. The rest of the party's attacks are easily dodged or deflected.
The fetchling steps towards Sieglinde, the annoying (to him) paladin of light. "Stop shooting these stupid light arrows on my plane!" he says as he attempts to punch Sieglinde in the face. Even with his flurry of attacks, he continues to keep his speed up.

Because of Siegline's Smite, her AC against the fetchling is currently 19, meaning the stunning fist attempt would miss. I'm sorry - I should update my stat bar with these things.

Man this fight is really drawn out with his improved AC. The next ki point will be his last though, so you should be able to take him down after this round.
Hannah fires a round from her gun, hopefully to burn the Fetchlings arrow deflection.

Sakimoth manages to finally take the Fetchling down!
Upon the fetchling's defeat, you may further investigate the Wightir Conjunction.
The 10-foot tall black stone pyramid exudes an eerie black essence from its apex, which seeps into the air and slowly dims the illumination of the room. Surrounding the relic’s apex are a dozen bloodstones set into the rock face.
A strong aura of conjuration and illusion emanates from the bloodstones.
removing or destroying the bloodstones should end the effect and sufficiently sabotage the device to prevent future use.
Removing the stones requires a DC 15 Disable Device check for each stone.
Hava Galo
|
Hava examines the stones with his Detect Magic.
There is conjuration and illusion coming from these. Conjuration usually transports or summons something and illusion spells typically deceive the senses or the mind.

"Damn, that was a difficult little bugger" Hannah says while she slings her musket.
In response Hava, "Well, but what exactly do they do> And, if they are the cause of this, how do we go about destroying them"
Sieglinde

Sieglinde pants as she pulls out her wand and heals herself. "Did that thing have a key on him?" she asks as she stows the wand. "We need to free the prisoners."

If such a key is not easily found, Sieglinde will march off to the chained prisoners, scimitar in hand. One way or another, they will be free - even if it means having to break every chain by hand!

Malvic takes 10 on his knowledge and tells you all that removing or destroying the bloodstones should end the effect and sufficiently sabotage the device to prevent future use. However, he reminds you about the slaves with the shadow brands; disabling this device before moving them out of the museum might be a bad idea.
Removing the stones requires a DC 15 Disable Device check for each stone or you could try smashing them.
The fetchling has a set of keys on him.
The two Blakros girls are in this room, but fell unconscious when the fetchling was defeated, but are definitely unharmed.

"I am no good at disabling things yet. I am still learning."
Reminder, next level take a rank in disable...
Sieglinde
|
Sieglinde takes the fetchling's keys and goes back to the prisoners to unlock their restraints. Once free, she'll take them, the Blakros sisters, and the fellow from the experimental chamber with her as she tries to get them outside the building.
Xavier "the Drunkard" Elington
|
Xavier walks over to the front door of the museum and peeks it open a crack. Then, after Sieglinde has freed the captives, he turns to them, opens the door, and asks, ”What do you see? I want to make sure you won’t go the shadow plane if you try and leave.”
Hopefully opening the door doesn’t end the effect.
000dafi03

You realize that the ritual dagger held by the fetchling could be used to break the magical seal on the main door. Once you use it, the door swings back open and you can see the material plane version of Absalom awaiting you.
You lead the slaves out, freeing them from their imprisonment and life on the shadow plane. They thank you and agree to spread stories of their rescue among the pathfinder society.
All that remains is to deactivate the Wightir Conjunction.
Sieglinde

Sieglinde strides back to the pyramid. "I am no good at delicate work," she says, "but I would gladly destroy this tool of evil."
If nobody stops her or has a better idea, she'll try to break one of the bloodstones with her scimitar.

"I don't believe my weapon is going to be of any use disabling these devices." Malvic sighs as the others do the destroying.
Samaan al-Arras
|
GM, is there any sort of check we can make to figure out how to disable the thing?
Malvic Trist
|
We made the Knowledge DC that told us how to disable with Disable Device checks otherwise we have to beat them down, typically people with bigger damage die can do the job...eventually. My whip just isn't likely to pierce any hardness it has.
000dafi03
|
Alright, well, it looks like no one can do it the easy way with a disable device check, so I'm just going to say that you smash them eventually.
It takes quite a few minutes of hacking to eventually destroy all twelve of the bloodstones (AC 12, Hardness 5, 20hp), but the pathfinders eventually manage to succeed.
Destroying the Wightir Conjunction instantly ends the transposition of the Material and Shadow Planes, and reality snaps back to normal. Any remaining fetchlings still in Wightir House return to the Shadow Plane. This includes even the dead bodies of the fetchlings, the Wightir Conjunction, and the room description elements from Shadow Absalom. For all intents and purposes, you are now only in the Blakros Museum.
When the planar overlay ends, Eleanir and Michellia Blakros awaken from their trance, dazed and disoriented. They thank you for rescuing them and assure you that their family will hear of your bravery.
Sieglinde
|
"What about the people outside?" Sieglinde says worriedly as she rushes to check.
Samaan al-Arras
|
"Well, that was surprisingly simple."
Xavier "the Drunkard" Elington
|
Xavier nods. "Yeah, I was expecting more resistance. It seems we caught the fetchlings by surprise." Xavier sheaths his rapier and steps out of the museum. "Well, if there isn't anything else we need to do, I'm going to go get a drink. Anyone else want to come?"
