This large chamber has a sixty-foot-high ceiling supported by several thick stone columns. The worked stone of the southwest wall remains uncovered by coral, and is decorated with engravings of crude giant figures and roughly formed runes. The columns have markings chiseled into them as well, in what could be many different styles of handwriting.
Smashed stone tables and oversized benches are piled in the southeastern section of the room. Beyond the rubble, a tunnel slopes down to the east, and another descends from the southwest corner.

The team easily hears the sounds of creatures coming up the hallway! As they turn to meet the threat, they see zombies rush into the room... something is wrong though. The 4 zombies seem to have shellfish like creatures over their heads that pulse and beat like a strange cross between a brain and a heart. They also drip the same black ichor as before.

The creatures howl, and prepare to attack!

GM - Just noticed something as I look at the map. Dragos has Combat Reflexes, which allows him a bunch of extra AoOs, and the ability to take them even when flat-footed. With his whip (which he threatens with thanks to Improved Whip Mastery) he has a 15' reach, so anything coming into melee with him will certainly provoke. It looks like both of the creatures that attacked Setare must have come through that. I'll roll for my attacks here and you can adjudicate as necessary.

As the strange, seemingly mind-controlling shellfish approach, Dragos whip cracks impossibly fast.

Nifty.

Dragos cracks his whip with impossible speed, the whip slapping against zombie bodies with a loud TWAP!

Setare follows up with a slash that neatly severs the things head. The zombie's head groans from the ground as the THING that was on the ground seperates from the head, looking up at them with strange, horrible, inhuman eyes. As it withdraws needletipped tendrils from the zombies head, the head goes still...

Another zombie thing tries to rush forward and attack Setare... who gets the hang of it now and headshots the zombie again, sending the head tumbling. The shellfish like thing releases the head, also staring at the group... those tendrils look awfully sharp...

Socraties quickly identifies these as Incutilis. They are not particularly dangerous from a combat standpoint, but if they succeed in rendering you helpless, they can drill their tendrils into your brain, killing you instantly and taking over your body.

This dark cavern of slimy black coral is drowned in stagnant salt water. Dozens of corpses— sharks, fish, humans, and stranger things—float on the surface in various states of decomposition. Some are covered in black chitin while others are pale and broken. A stair of black coral winds downward from east to west along the northern wall. A sagging rope bridge in the western part of the cavern dips almost to the surface of the water. On the southwest side of the underground cove floats a massive old ship. The ship’s tattered rigging and waterlogged boards creak lightly in the silent cavern, and limp floating corpses surround its blackened hull, like mourners at a grotesque wake.

In the distance, standing in the middle of the ship, you can see the Captain. Captain Varossa Lanteri stands on the deck, her rapier and pistol drawn for battle. Glittering gold chains circle her neck and a thin silver tiara tilts unevenly on her forehead. Her arms and torso are covered in black chitin. Dangling from her belt is a large, curved horn comprising three interlocking pieces.

She does not seem to be moving at all, just standing in place in the middle of the ship as if locked in place.

Due to ‚Blade of Mercy‘ trait: Non-lethal damage has no -4 to hit and has +1 to damage.

Scimitar +1 attack roll : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Scimitar damage roll : 1d6 + 7 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 + 4 = 14

In case Setare is attacked she uses 'Opportune Parry' and parries by expending an AoO to parry and spends a panache point (so if the attack roll of tshe opponent is lower than Setare's parry then the opponent does not hit and Setare could potentially Riposte)

Opportune Parry: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33

In case Setare successfully parries she uses 'Riposte' as an immediate action to attack the opponent that attacked her.

Scimitar +1 Riposte attack roll: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Damage Riposte roll, non-lethal : 1d6 + 7 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 + 4 = 17

Expecting the shot, but not expecting it to come so quick, the wily old pirate is taken off guard. He recovers quick enough though and snaps his whip forward, arcing the leather towards the barrel of the pistol. He folds his wrist, trying to time it perfectly to spin the end of the leather thong tightly around the weapon, and yank it out of the captain's hand.

Disarm Attempt w/ divine favor: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 11 + 2 = 33

Dragos is rewarded with a perfect snap and pull. The grin on his face is unquenchable.

The captain glares as the pistol is yanked from her hands. Apparently, even mind controlled she does not appreciate someone touching her precious pistol. When Setare moves up to her and swings, She dodges nimbly to the side before taking a step back and snapping her fingers, disappearing.

She's gonna stick me first... Dragos assumes, knowing he has overextended himself past his companions.

Expecting that an attack is coming, Dragos reaches into one of his bandoliers and pulls out a potion, popping the cork and drinking it down.

Dragos cringes when it is Jack who get stuck and not himself. He quicksteps onto the deck of the ship, trying to get around to flank the mind-controlled captain.

"I can't get around, step to her side Jack!" Dragos shouts.

Jack, you can 5' step to flank with me if you need to.

"Aye Besmara, I'll pay ye in blood if ye help me now..." the pirate smiles. His weapon tingles with energy suddenly, causing pricks of pain to radiate through his palm, and Dragos knows that his goddess is with him.
