Day Job: Profession (soldier): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

The roll may be meh, but the math there is oddly satisfying.

Drelluandast will summon at least once. I'll have an alias for whatever it happens to be. He's also got shift from the teleportation subschool to get him out of tight spots.

PFS#: 37150-18

I'm still finalizing a few things on my character since this will be the first time I've played them at level 2, but I'll be done soon. What day are we starting again?

Okay, evidently we're supposed to do the pre-muster missions NOW, so I've sent PMs to the two who haven't checked in, and I'll be posting momentarily IC to get us rolling. Link is at the top of the page, we are in part 1. While I will normally go Rule of 3 (Since 3 is half our party, as soon as 3 people say "let's do this", I'm going with it), for the intro I'm going with "Rule of whoever posted first". These intro missions are only up until the 1st, they don't require massive amounts of RP (but a few lines are nice), and especially in your subtier the rewards can be the difference between a good, fun scenario and a horrible, gruesome death.
Now I am not a killer GM. I have I think 2-3 deaths to my name in over 60 tables, but most deaths are avoidable and I like to put out that efficient use of resources is a concept that is especially important in a special such as this. Now this doesn't mean "don't use your resources" because that can be just as bad as using them all too early. Keep in mind that this has several parts, there will be several combats, and you will need different things at different times.
That having been said, enjoy! I wouldn't have offered to run this slot if there wasn't fun to be had.

Sorry, I was typing mine up and it took a while because I kept getting distracted, so I didn’t see the post for catching the spy until after I hit “Post”.

I'm cool doing yours second, Drell. I don't have a preference of order, personally. Old man Cabe is here to help! :)

Player Name: Lucklesshero
Character: Makon Grimug
Faction: Libert's edge
PFS#: 184087-5
Day Job: craft leather: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Track: normal
GM I'm in the process of assigning Makon a GM chronicle (for a game I just ran at a friendly local gaming store yesterday 9/28/18) It won't bring Makon to a higher lv. (he'll remain 2nd). I'll get busy applying the chronicle this weekend. I'll most likely want to sell a couple items and use my remaining coin to pick up a cloak of resistance before we get started. I'll jump in on game-play thread soon.

![]() |

I'm not picky about which missions we do in what order. I was just trying to move things along quickly since getting as many done as we can.
We could work out an order ahead of time if people really want to do specific missions. In lieu of a plan, let's just go from top to bottom.

GM just FYI (I doubt it will come up) but for encumbrance reasons: Makon will leave the following items back at his lodging..All rations except for 1/day, blanket, MW artisan's tools.

Out of curiosity, how far is the drop from the wall to the ground?

![]() |

Aha, thank you! I thought it was mentioned somewhere but couldn't find it.

AID TOKEN
*** Token 1***
Passing to: GM: ScorchedOne
Current Boosts: Allied Offensive (Noke Tiz)

![]() |

It looks like we're doing Chains next. Should we work up a schedule of what people want to do in order so we don't have to re-discuss between each session? If anyone has preferences, let us know.
I don't really care which we do in what order, so I'll open with a bid of just going top-to-bottom after Chains is done.

![]() |

The only concern I had about going in order is that puzzles can be difficult, and Sundays tend to be the busiest internet days, so we would have a better chance of everyone chipping in.
Otherwise, let's just "Get her done."

![]() |

I am open to whatever order people want to do the rest of them in. I have zero preference.

![]() |

If Dark Archive is going fast, maybe other groups are starting from the top as well. Should we move up from the bottom after our current projects?

![]() |

Going against the grain! I like it. It's got my vote.

![]() |

BTW Makon has a great intimidate (+8) if we find out which group is most subject to intimidate. I will roll intimidate beneath a spoiler; with some accompanying dialogue. If I understand correctly we are all invited to make either sense motive or knowledge checks to identify which group is vulnerable to variable means of negotiation? (bluff, diplomacy, and intimidate?)
If this is correct we should all be making sense motive checks or the appropriate knowledge checks (which-ever we have the higher bonus in I suppose) As for the intimidate check Makon will wait for guidance (either from his own intuition or the groups suggestion) He will then step forward and proceed to loom an intimidate whichever group we believe to be most vulnerable to that form of negotiation. (please note: if we are unable to determine which group is most vulnerable to the intimidate tactic. I wish the GM just to roll a random die and Makon will step forward and try his tactic against the random group. In either case the: the die roll beneath the spoiler will stand.)
Also although we can only have one person roll per group. There's no reason we shouldn't attempt an aid-anthers . Therefore, I'll request on this thread that, Caebricalius Melandrus attempt to ,aid my intimidate check (probably beneath a spoiler is best) and that the remainders also aid some of the other rolls (diplomacy and or bluff).

![]() |

Ok amending my last statement a bit
Caebricalius Melandrus should do the bluff check ( looks like he has a +6?) although Andy Applebottom has a +8 in bluff he also has a +8 in diplomacy making him the best choice for both those rolls. If only one person can make one roll per noble house then Caebricalius Melandrus has the next highest bonus ..therefore he should take the bluff roll with Andy Applebottom aiding him. (while Andy takes the diplomacy roll)
The only thing left to do is figure out which family needs which roll.
It looks like Kwan Zinshen has ranks in Knowledge history (is it +6 to your check?) and again Andy Applebottom has all the knowldge skills at his disposal. therefore Makon will wait to make his intimidate check until bidden to by one of these two gentlemen.
*edit* just noticed Andy Applebottom can make both the diplomacy and bluff checks...(but if he does both no one else can) Since Andy has a +8 instead of Caebricalius +6 it would be better to have Andy make the primary roll and Caebricalius aid Andy's bluff roll.

Ack. just noticed the last 3 posts on this thread after i posted on Gameplay thread. Not sure what we can do with this mess. Please advise.
Ok first of all we need to wait until we get the results back from the sense motive checks from the GM...Then we can make an informed checks on which roll is best for which noble family.
My gut instinct is: just to cross out or (if you catch this before the hr editing time has expired) edit out the last portion (all the diplomacy checks) and just roll for a bluff check and diplomacy check after the GM gives us the sense motive information.
If you read the game-play thread the GM did mention certain checks are better for certain families...for instance Makon did an intimidate check for one of the families. (i just don't know which one because the GM hasn't revealed the results of the sense motive checks yet) Therefore you only need to make 2 checks One bluff and one Diplomacy...all your sense motive checks stand.

Because of your avatar pic, I imagined Cabe strolling up to gab at the families and suddenly a giant red dragon dressed in all black just appears in a puff of smoke and whispers, "NIN-jaaaa..." then vanishes again.

Did we ever do anything with that Aid Token? Do we want to boost it and send it on its way again?

![]() |

Yes. I've been ignoring it since I don't think Kwan has much to add, but we should definitely move it along if we haven't yet.

![]() |

My guess would be Kwan or Makon have the best attack roll. My best is only a +4.

![]() |

I say we boost the aid token and pass it along.. is my understanding we get to use the aid token before we pass it along? Or do we just boost it? If we get to use it; I'll use it on the first turn. The following roll is my attack roll to 'boost the token' boost attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26dmg: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

![]() |

That is literally the best roll we could have gotten. Good job Makon! :D
