Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

Hey Isaiah, you might have missed my post, but Shin tagged you for his team move if you wanted to respond to it.

DM Stalwart |

For those characters who have paid attention to their superhero and supervillain history:
The Wyvern. Dr. Kathleen Davis is the original inventor of the Wyvern Serum, and also its most infamous user. The serum causes a massive mutation into a dragonlike being with nearly impenetrable scales, poisonous fangs, deadly claws, a whiplike tail and wing membranes on the arms.
Zoot. A psychotic gangster who managed to unite the gangs of Old Town under his insane rule. Dressed in an old 1940's style, but anyone who mocked him ended up on the wrong end of his knives.
Razernought. This behemoth of a man underwent a radical procedure from Unlimited, Ltd. that bulked up his strength and fused his spiked armor to his skin.
Ballista. You've met.
Dusk. You've met.

Would swapping their minds/souls be possible with trip's power set? If not I'd bet she probably knows an ancient being or a long line of contacts that may be able to get it done.
Gonna have to write up a post proper this weekend though, since Alice looked at her and psyche like they knew what they were doing. Gonna probably need a helping pseudopod from Inquiry on the machine brain part at the very least.

DM Stalwart |

Alice looked at Trip because they talked about the quantum entanglement that's between the two. If you go the sciencey route, Trip can probably assist (i.e., spending Team if necessary) with some appropriate-sounding technobabble and their rift generator. Or, Psyche might be able to just Nova her way through the mind swap.
I'm flexible with how you all want to go about the brain swap.

DM Stalwart |

(You can answer these here or in the game thread)
The Sentinels' Wild Space Adventure is over, let's do some End of Session moves! Everyone choose one:
• Grow closer to the team. Explain who made you feel welcome; give
Influence to that character and clear a condition or mark potential.
• Grow into your own image of yourself. Explain how you see yourself and why; shift one Label up and another down.
• Grow away from the team. Explain why you feel detached. Take Influence over you away from another character.

I'm gonna see about tidying up Trip's background on her profile page to be inclined with what me and Stalwart discussed, also I'm dumb and JUST realized why Stalwart suggested Ultra Star, she's Prae's mother. Idk if Prae would be okay with changing a bit and saying she did have a TV show back in the day, but if so I could rewrite all mentions of Ultra Nova as Ultra Star and have her be one of Trio's Idols from her past.
Up to ya'll on that one, I can swing it either way and am cool with Trio's main idol hero being Ultra Nova, who's more of a actor with light powers than an actual hero.

Praetoria |

Grow away from the team. Explain why you feel detached. Take Influence over you away from another character.
Praetoria has more and more felt like the team sees her as nothing more than a weapon to point at the enemy and her punch it or blast it down. But only when they want her to. Whenever she tries to take initiative of her own she feels like they always disapprove.
Having a hard time settling on who would lose Influence over Praetoria. I think of the four who do have it still (Isaiah, Psyche, Horizon, Rory), Isaiah probably is the most distant from her emotionally. So, while he hasn’t done anything directly this session to be the target, I think he is the most logical choice.

Rory "Frostbite" Noble |

Rory grew closer to the team, mostly (lol). The team worked well together and successfully removed Psyche's body. Giving influence to Trip and marking potential.

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Hmm, still debating which end of session move to use. Isaiah/Inquiry felt like an important part of the team, but also like they were being taken for granted a bit as a transportation method... Hmm.....

Praetoria |

Join me in growing away from the team...
*Insert evil villain laugh*

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

You should all probably be happy that Inquiry/Isaiah is *not* a supervillain. They have access to design and construction tricks that would make the typical deathtrap supervillain lair look like a cakewalk.
But the Iron Federation determined that villainy was counterproductive and foolish a long time ago. Benevolence is simply a better long-term strategy, and it lets you feel good about yourself.
That said, they still have a lot of people with influence over them, and may frankly being starting to wonder if it's worth listening to the opinions of a bunch of hormone-addled teenagers for important self-determination decisions.

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

Just want to apologize if I jumped the gun there. I'm not reading the spoilers for Kayla so there was probably hidden information Shin was working without in the scene. If necessary for the retcon, you can have him suss out the motives of the guards without speaking to them - the only reason he would have approached in the first place was because he assumed that a bunch of costumed teens showing up in plain view meant subterfuge and stealth were out of the question.

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

As the scene is moving forward now, can Shin get the answers to his previous Pierce the Mask questions, or should I try again in post?

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Isaiah/Inquiry's parents are still fine. Both the factory that built him and the people he stayed with and was educated and raised by during his early years are doing just fine back at Caesvol, and he even keeps in touch from time to time! Just doesn't make a big deal of it.
But yeah, everyone else has family issues. It's heroic tradition.

Rory "Frostbite" Noble |

In fairness two of the founding members that left both had living parents. #superherotropes
and Praetoria's parents were alive when we started...

Praetoria |

>:-<

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

If you want to get really technical about it, Shin's parents are still fine...in 1940. So there's a bit of room to wiggle around in there.

![]() |

Ooh idk if I wanna take my moment of truth, just to have it on reserve or belong in two worlds from the outsider list. Feel like it's fitting for Trip to sometimes call on the Krol-kraza and their super tech but also I'd like to have another MoT in the chamber incase we have to go against some super crazy odds.

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

So, not sure if everyone missed Shin's last post - the one where he informed basically everyone that he had a lead for finding Shane at a place upstate - I just want to clarify if people are specifically ignoring him before I post again. Which would be fair because he's been acting like a jerk at times lately!

![]() |

I think trip was a bit busy calculating her jump into the building to really catch it. But i figure it may be a good time to ask, what's on the other side of the one way glass in the big dude room?? That all being said I think I actually missed horizon specifically trying to get ahold of trip and asking if she was chasing her own lead my bad.

Praetoria |

From what I could tell, I saw Shin tell everyone his belief this was a red herring, but then said in comms “for isiaiah’s ears” about the more detailed lead. So I went with he just told that to Isaiah and then it wasn’t relayed further, so Praetoria is still pressing the one sure thing she knows.
Was I wrong? Happy to adjust.

DM Stalwart |

Let's get a consensus here, since it seems like we're stalling (though I totally understand that things are going to get slower during the holiday season).
Do you want to keep digging through the compound physically, do you want to just search the security records, or do you want to leave and follow up on the lead that Shin found?

![]() |

I think it's probably best to check on shin's lead, but we may need to find out where that is. Surly someone with more knowledge or a tap into Halcyon's history. Probs not Trip, Inquiry, or Shin if I can throw a solid guess. Might be able to find out what the Estate might be based on who we know founded this organization.
Trip plans to play buddy buddy with the big guard and just try to get him to tell her what he might know about Prae's brother. Only abducting him(a fairly sore subject for her) if necessary.

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Inquiry is mostly waiting at this point. They're not inside the facility, and are staying put in case Trip needs a safe landing spot.
Probably would have relayed Shin's message, if it wasn't actually sent to everybody. Also can start a quick address look-up to at least locate the Estate.

Praetoria |

I’m fine to follow Shin’s lead.

Rory "Frostbite" Noble |

The only thing I wanted to do was see if I could get any info on who Vanillapsychedilla might be if they have any records that match up with that name (user names, email addresses or such)

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |

Shin was basically trying not to let the guide know what lead he was following up on. Apparently he was being too subtle. Would probably keep up with Praetoria's initial exploration that's already been done here, though seeing as we've yet to find anything, he'll advise that they leave now. Will post up later.

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Ha, *finally* got Paizo to cooperate and let me sign in again. Been having trouble for two or three days here.
