Moving Veres up to join Andor in talking to the boggards. Everyone else is still in the building.

Kara, Veres, Graxzos, and Kel are up! Remember that getting from one back into the foyer requires squeezing through the small opening in the wall unless someone can manage to open one of the stuck doors.

As the boggards turn violent, Veres' draws her bow and backs out of the room, squeezing through the tight crack. As she moves her voice bursts forth from her lips, "Stand strong friends, we have the right in this." and then she begins her song of inspiration and righteousness.

Inspiring Courage, +1 competence bonus to Hit and Damage and +1 morale bonus to saves vs charm and fear.

Seeing the boggards getting ready to attack, Grax lunges forward as Veres clears the gap in the walls. "OH NO YEH DON'T, YEH DAMNED DIRTY FROGS!" He fires off a blast at the one in the clear, the sound of his shot ringing through the ancient hall!

As the creature reels, he rams an alchemical cartridge into his pistol and draws his ax.

Grax has a +1 bonus to AC as long he's adjacent to both boggards.

Actions:

I'm assuming that since they're flat-footed they can't take AoOs...if they can do so while flat-footed I may be in trouble! :P

The Midnight Mirror

Veres and Graxzos trade places in a move that is nearly dance-like in its grace, taking turns moving through the tight opening in the wall. As Veres sings an inspiring tune, the dwarf fires a shot. He catches the boggards by surprise, but the blast mostly goes over its shoulder, leaving just a grazing wound.

Kara and Kel are still up!

Kara, it will have Improved Cover for you firing through the narrow gap unless you stand right next to the gap to fire through it (essentially using it like an arrow slit, only not quite that narrow). It also has soft cover for Sadaf being between you. Let me know if that changes your action.

GM, I have adjusted my 5ft step, so that I am now next to the gap. I agree that it has cover from Sadaf, I did not include that in my attack roll because it is an AC modifier.

The Midnight Mirror

Just wanted to be sure you were aware of the modifiers. :-)

Kara fires a bolt though the opening. It whizzes past Sadaf's ear and into the boggard.

Going to give Kel a little longer to act before botting.

The Midnight Mirror

Kel is on delay. If he doesn't post by the next time around the initiative, I'll come up with a bot action for him.

The second boggard puffs up his chest, then emits a loud, nearly subsonic croak that rattles the walls of the ruined building.

Everyone needs to make a Will save!

Andor quickly pulls his rapier and stabs the boggard who let out the croak, drawing blood.

Ushi, these are Boggards, humanoids with the boggard subtype. Did you want to know anything specific about them, or GMs choice of juicy tidbits?

Veres: 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds

Shaken:
Shaken: A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. Shaken is a less severe state of fear than frightened or panicked.

Ushi recognizes what the boggard did as:
Terrifying Croak (Su) Once per hour as a standard action, a boggard can emit a loud and horrifying croak. Any non-boggard creature within 30 feet of the boggard must succeed at a DC 13 Will save or become shaken for 1d4 rounds. Creatures that succeed at this save cannot be affected again by the same boggard’s croak for 24 hours. Creatures that are already shaken become frightened for 1d4 rounds instead.

Ushi can take his action. Note that if the second boggard uses his Terrifying Croak, Kel and Veres could potentially become frightened.

In response, it brings its club down again at Graxzos; what it lacks in finesse it makes up for in brute strength, and the dwarf feels the impact and can tell there are going to be many bruises from this.
