Yay! Go out and gain some more XP, then. :D

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Ok! *goes out looking for small children to save*

You ready for another enormously complicated subsystem GMB?

Also folks, just a heads up. When will likely want to keep Baraket personally and she's also arrogant enough that she may not always use the gauntlets... I know it probably won't be optimal but she's a runelords clone who specialises in illusion magic! She's gonna want the sword!

Shenuska wrote:

Bring it ON!

Sorry my monsters ruined your fun. Kill them quickly and there will still time for late night cannodling afterwards. :)

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

We're trying! Never get between PC's and their inter-party cannodling!

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

Huh, I just realised. The CON damage Theo took from the... Goblin Snake was it?... would that be cleared up by now or are we gonna need to find someone who can cast lesser restoration?

That went away the last time you rested.

Well, I guess sometimes you beat the dungeon with charm spells and social skills.

Due to a site error, I'm unable to update the campaign info tab, but your Victory Point total is higher than 3. You gained 1 for defeating the second group of fleshdregs, 2 for returning the guards' bodies to town, 2 for disbanding the Bramblemouth goblins, 2 for rescuing the dwarves, and 6 for recovering Baraket. So you have 16 total now. You still need more to put Sir Roderic to rest.

Oracle: 4th level

+1 BAB
+1 Will
+1 Cha

+5 HP

+1 cantrip known

mending

+1 2nd level spell known

lesser restoration

Skill Points: Oracle +4, Int +2, FCB +1
Diplomacy +1, Heal +1, Intimidate +1, Knowledge (nature) +1, Knowledge (planes) +1, Sense Motive +1, Swim +1

Background Skill Points: +2
Knowledge (history) +1, Perform (sing) +1

Female Human Black Bloodedrager 4/Paladin 16| 140/195 HP| AC: 37/35 (T19/17, F30/28)| F: +29, R: +17, W: +25| Init: 1| Perc: +12| CMB: +24, CMD: 36| Lay on Hands 16/16, Smite Evil: 5/6, Bloodrage 13/14| Speed: 30 ft| Active conditions: RAGE! (+40 HP).

I mean, personally, Calendula'd still like to go in there and completely dismantle their organization, as she sees it as a "bastion of evil and foolish thinkin" so no need to completely disregard doin the dungeon. Hopefully I'm not alone in that thinking, I love dungeons.

The leader have any special equipment?

As for Level 4, I get 8 HP, +1 CHA, +1 Fort, +1 BAB, 2 spells, Eschew Materials and Abnormal Reach!

Taking either Blade Lash so I can trip people from 25 feet away or Barbed Chain for a similar reason but with damage, also Protection from Evil

Skill points go in Dip, Intimidate, K. Planar, K. Religion, Ride and Perception, Background skills 1 in Fisher, 1 in Soldier

What all loot have we found, again? I'm saving up for a big thing, so it don't super matter to me, but it'd be nice to have stuff regardless

Corstela won't surrender her personal gear willingly, but she doesn't have much of real value beyond Baraket.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Ironic that When beat a dungeon with charm spells and not Mel... at this rate Mel will beat the boss in a psychic duel too...

Level up tomorrow once I can use a real computer again.

As for the dungeon, When doesn't care at all but if Calndula or Nine asks she'll come along anyway.

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

To be fair; I think Mel has more compunctions than Shen about invasive mental alterations. :P

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

+1 BAB
+1 Ref and Will saves

New class feature: Armor Mastery (no more armor check penalty!)

Anyone else down for invading a peacock's privacy?

Nime feels that we've got what we need from peacock manor.

She could be persuaded to have a 'talk' with the Horned Fangs.

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

And I don’t think we know enough about the Order to go all scorched earth on them without a good reason. The incident where they used Baraket seems to’ve been more the sword’s fault than the Order’s.

Mel has more compunctions than Shen about 'invasive alterations' full stop. ;) Shen positively enjoys them!

Psychic 4.
+1 Con (now 14)
Discipline Spell - replaced with Instigate Psychic Duel!!!
+1 BAB
+1 Will
+1 1st level/day
+3 2nd level/day.
+1 Cantrip known.
+1 1st level known (FCB).
+1 2nd level known.

Skills: Appraise, Knw His, Knw Arc, Knw Planes, Knw Rel, Perc, SM, Spllcrft.

So, what is your next step, intrepid adventurers?

To not burn up? Oh, wait, you mean in the game. Sorry. :)

Do we know where to find the Horned Fangs?

No, but Corstela says their leader is a woman called "Gold" who hangs out in Creekside.

Well, then ... off to Creekside. :)

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

Forgot to mention it IC, but Theo would've also asked Sam what sort of price this stuff went for at auction. If he gets a third try at this, he's hoping to impress them with the bottle's value.

It seems we are learning psychic duels take a while. Especially when both sides are rolling low.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Agreed! Level 9 when I can do psychic duel things straight into people's heads will help!

It'll be a good trick in actual fights if I pull the boss into a duel and everyone else whales on their helpless body while I keep him busy...

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

So, any thoughts on Psychic Duels (apart the fact that Brainiac and I need better dice?). If people think it takes too long I'm sure I could 'de-archetype'.

In combat, it won't be too bad because we will be in rounds and the other players can still take actions to attack the person in the duel or other enemies that may be present.

For non-combat situations like this, perhaps the duel might be resolved more quickly elsewhere? Like a Discord chat?

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Doesn't bother me. This was a perfect test case. In the dungeon it's probably much riskier when fighting multiple enemies.

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

Yeah, seems fine to me. A duel in a vacuum could be a bit of a slow-down (anyone else reminded of the problems the Matrix in Shadowrun had on this point - like the decker player and the GM going off to do their own separate game while everyone else sat back and waited?) but if it happened mid-fight, it should be fine.

Either that or massive block rolling. Summoning a manifestation seems like a good opening gambit so maybe taking 3-4 turns at a time and adjusting as needed? That sped things up somewhat. (I have trouble with chats right now as I either post from work or on my phone, neither is set up for something like Discord.)

Yeah, if there are just straight up manifestations fighting each other, I could roll both sides of the combat until one thought creature is destroyed.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Makes sense for speeds sake. In fact as long as I have a manifestation up at all you can roll until it goes down. I can always make immediate reactions etc after the fact and we just tweak the numbers from there.

This is basically the mental combat with constructs and harbingers that appeared in The Will and the Way back in 2nd edition AD&D.

So, are you inviting Rudrik along? And if so, Rudrik, do you want to join the party? ;)

Nime would invite him.

Rudrik can correct me, but being close friends with Nime for a while (and having the Close Allies trait between them) and her casualness regarding being physical with those close to her, I'm sure Rudrik and Nime have spent more than one night together.

Whether he wants to jump into the middle of a foursome, though ... *shrug*

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Shen's pretty casual about this sort of stuff. Rurik is next on her list anyway ;)

Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0

She wanting to see if the stories about half-orcs are true, huh? :P

Probably just as well there's no Goliaths in Golarion.

Critical Role wrote:

Tary: "Doty! She said realism! (Doty nods) Really?! How does he [Grog] walk?"

Percy/Taliesin: "With confidence and pride."

And with that mental image driving this game even further into the gutter, I will just add that Theo is fine with Rurik getting involved, but that he is straight so his attention is going to be mainly on the girls.

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

What, you mean big feet = big teeth? :)

Alright, you guys can retroactively post about your nocturnal shenanigans. I'll move things along to the Roadkeeper camp.

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

I thought about this for a bit. Rudrik has complicated and confused feelings on the matter, since he’s a half-orc from a rough town and doesn’t have a lot of healthy friendships.

In his adolescence, Rudrik doubtless took up Nime on her offer as part of his “experimentation,” but when he discovered that she didn’t feel the same way about intimacy as “conventional” people, he was pretty hurt. He got over it, then felt guilty for treating her as an object for gratification. He finally awkwardly came to recognize that Nime just has a different perspective and they can at least be friends.

Rudrik has had a few paying encounters with human women, but due to the beast-like characteristics of his orcish anatomy, he is generally told that he is not welcome as a repeat customer.

He is uncomfortable with intimacy as other than a one-on-one interaction and would decline the party.

Very well. Waiting on Rudrik's combat actions now,

RETIRED - Runelord of Altruism

Aww... basket case! Shen might have to work on you now! :)

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

That may be painful for both parties.

Nime survived. :)

Granted, she would never tell them, but she's probably got stories. :)

ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE

Nime is a sweetie who is too good for this world. Also, as a water-aspected semi-elemental being, lubrication is probably right up her alley, so to speak!

Rudrik Halvar wrote:

*blink*

*blink*

Nope. Not going there. Not touching that. No way. Walking away now.

~~~~
Well, as Rudrik would be aware, Nime is incapable of holding a grudge. She has no guilt or hard feelings about their past dealings.
ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE
Ba-DUM Tsshhh! Thank you, the not-quite-innuendo will be here all night, tip your waitress.
Rudrik took a while to “get” Nime but now really treasures her uniqueness.
Male Human Sorcerer 10/Dragon Disciple 10 | HP 137/272 | AC 39 T 16 FF 36 | Fort +20 Ref +14 Will +15 | Initiative +8 | Perception +25 | Sense Motive +0
Hang on; aren't Undines, Ifrits and such genie-kin, not elemental kin?
ADVENTURE PATH COMPLETE
I dunno, I don’t have ranks in Knowledge (planes)!
