Okay, Kaldane has taken 67 damage from 3 hits, and healed 14 (2 rounds of Particulate Form and the CLW) so he is at 53 damage taken. His 130 remaining are certainly in the danger zone for another Disintegrate. So, casting defensively CSW.
Concentration DC 23: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (13) + 24 = 37
CSW: 4d8 + 15 ⇒ (3, 6, 7, 2) + 15 = 33
He is now at 163 HP, better.
Then he fires off a Quickened Sound Burst where the circle is.
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Also Fort DC 21 or be stunned 1 round.
Finally, he takes a step behind Tortuga.
His remaining spells:
1st: 7 6, 2nd: 0, 3rd: 4 3, 4th: 3 1, 5th: 3, 6th: 4 2, 7th: 4 3
Since the GM's last accounting, that's the Prayer, Blessing of Fervor, Particulate Form, one Greater Heroism (nobody claimed the other) and the CLW, CSW, and Quickened Sound Burst.
Sentry moves and uses Total Defense.
Sir Hendric tries an active Perception check as a move action to pinpoint Suliji.
Perception: 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (18) + 39 = 57
Still has a standard, depending on what he sees.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

You know where that translucent token of Suliji is? Yeah, that’s where she is. Also, the sound burst wouldn’t actually hit that space since it’s a 10’ spread (I’ll let you change the point of origin since Hendric technically went before Kaldane and could communicate Suliji’s location).

![]() |

10' radius spread is technically that 'fat cross' and not a circle, right? Is that better?
"There she is, in the corner! Between the screens!"
It looks like once again there is just barely a line of sight... this is a good room for her.
And let's see for the standard... man, I got nothing... use Tactician to share Coordinated Charge if I didn't do that already (swift), and ready to attack any foe who comes into reach.
Attack, Broken Stuff, Greater Heroism, Prayer, Blessing of Fervor, PA: 1d20 + 25 - 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 25 - 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 - 4 = 39
Damage: 1d8 + 11 - 3 + 1 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 11 - 3 + 1 + 12 = 23
Edit: Total Defense might have been better but I already rolled the attack... we'll see how this goes.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

I mean that there’s a weapon rack in the way, so the sound burst wouldn’t be able to get her since she’s around a corner (if it was a 15’ radius, then it would hit her, but since it’s a 10’ radius, then it doesn’t). I know that you intended to hit that space, so I’m going to pretend that you centered it like so (where the red radius is).
Suliji Fort: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (19) + 24 = 43
Waiting on Géatan

![]() |

Oh, got it. Thanks. Sir Hendric is using the AC/attacks/reflex boost from Fervor every round unless otherwise noted (not included in his stat line, nor is Prayer).

So...this is stupid with how it’s written that she tries to negotiate considering this thing is active, but I’m just going to do something real quick:
Géatan Arcana: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (18) + 22 = 40
She’s affected by fickle winds! And Géatan would’ve known that before his turn began, so I’ll let you retcon that action—BTW, I’m applying the “roaring blast [of wind]” as a penalty to her stealth.

![]() |

BBEGs: Dragon - fickle winds. Ooze - immune to piercing. Suliji - fickle winds. It's almost like the scenario authors know how deadly 14th-level archers are.
Okay, well, besides the noise, is there also a visual effect of the wind that we can use to pinpoint her square if she moves? Broken glass flying around and curtains rippling? If not, I will keep being the spotter and using my move actions for that.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

It’s almost like the BBEGs are smart! (I honestly like it, because it shows that the authors actually did their research and were trying to make the combats more challenging to the PCs, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing—well, except for that ooze; he was just plain bull) For simplicity’s sake I’m going to say no (technically there would be, but then you’d only know where she was within a certain area, so figuring out the square would still require a check; hence the penalty to stealth).

![]() |

I should buy some dagger in provision of those type of creatures. I will change for the sword ...golem? that threaten Tortuga.
Having knowledge arcana is a godsend idea.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

You would need to take a step in order to hit that one—took the liberty of doing that for you
On Géatan’s third attack the green golem falls! Fourth attack missed; directed the fervor attack at Yellow.
The ash that was once Nox gets blown up in the fickle winds as it becomes clear that Suliji has moved. I’m sorry, Nox!

Tortuga completely bashes in Yellow, but he felt that not all of his damage went through.
From just above, Géatan hears the voice of Suliji.
”You know, I gave you all a chance—more than a chance, really—but you chose to ally with a pretentious, unrepentant mummy to save the leadership of your mortal enemies. In a week, will the Patrons even remember—or care—about what happened here? Will relations between Aspis and Pathfinder truly change? Will the Consortium suddenly change its ways and abandon hard-fought business ventures solely based on what’s happened here today? No. The Aspis will never change, they’ll never abandon projects they’ve spent years—decades—formulating just because you came to their rescue. Don’t believe me? Then get it from the horse’s mouth and ask dear Patron Ratarion himself. This may improve relations for a time, but change requires great action—action I was taking! I was even serving poetic justice for what happened to your Master of Spells: trapping their souls inside gems to prevent them from simply buying their way back to life.
“But if you all are so insistent on making me the bad guy, then so be it! You all will return to life anyway; the Society still owes you favors. I’m sorry Hendric, Sulii, Géatan, Tortuga, Kaldane, and Nox, but you are standing in my way, and I can’t allow you to stop great change that must come to pass!” I know she couldn’t say all that in 6 seconds, but it’s mostly flavor anyway.

"SULI, GET IN HERE!"
"Suliji, you're too smart, too competent, and I don't know what your real goal is. All this to kill one man for revenge? No, there's more to it."
Sentry moves (single move due to Blessing of Fervor), Sir Hendric tries to pinpoint the yappy half-orc, and if he sees her he will do a standard action of some kind depending on where exactly she is. Sentry still has another move if needed.
Perception: 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (13) + 39 = 52

![]() |

Is she still in the lower right? Or am I having that weird issue with Google Slides again?
Have tried phone and two different browsers on the laptop and she is still in her old position. I thought she would be over by Géatan now since that's where her voice came from and she attacked him.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

It just didn't save when I adjusted her position on my phone; should be good now. That's my bad.
EDIT: I can confirm that Kaldane was indeed within the Death Throes radius of Green when it died.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

And she is above Géatan?
To the right of him and flying 5'.

![]() |

Thanks.
Sentry moves forward 10', and Sir Hendric strikes with his lance to disarm Suliji. Her elevation, and Sir Hendric being mounted, should mean that Géatan does not provide her with cover.
Disarm: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (13) + 29 = 42 That's +14 BAB, +5 Str, +5 lance, -2 Broken, +4 Morale, +1 Luck, +2 Fervor; it sounds like she had a locked gauntlet, but it would have been a full-round action to reattach it and even then it only gives a +10, not immunity. So I figure it's worth a shot.
01-50 miss: 1d100 ⇒ 93
If successful, Sir Hendric shouts to Géatan, "Grab the sword!"

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

....You're lucky she didn't have the time to re-lock that falcata. Hendric successfully disarms Suliji!

Actually, better plan:
"Kaldane, TK the sword!" Ancestors spirit spell
"Géatan, under the cylinder and shoot!"
Since she's invisible, if Géatan takes the sword she can just try to grab it right back against his flat-footed CMD without provoking, even unarmed. That's no good. But maybe Kaldane can hurl it far away - or just "hold" it with his TK.

![]() |

No... because kaldane will hurt by the explosion.I should have waited. Aim the rest to the weapon.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

EDIT: Meant to say Geatan’s second and last attacks hit, not the second and fourth.
As Kaldane reaches down to destroy the falcata but only manages to singe it slightly not even broken! And Geatan's arrows do nothing to it adamantine ignores hardness of less than 20, meaning adamantine doesn't ignore the hardness of adamantine.
Suliji reaches down and grabs her falcata and now there is a floating falcata that slashes at Geatan just picking up an item while invisible doesn’t actually make the item invisible itself. But Geatan is still flat-footed against her and she still gets a +2 to hit him because that’s the RAW, doesn’t matter that you can clearly see the sword.shrug

Looking back over things, I seem to have missed some stuff—I forgot to add in blessing of fervor and prayer into Kaldane’s Reflex saves here, so he would’ve succeeded at the first reflex save against Green’s death throes, so he effectively heals 23 hp. Since he has Cold Resistance he is currently at 33 hp.
Suliji casts a spell and suddenly a massive hand appears and floats between her and Hendric!
Once again, Suliji casts a spell and a line of ice shards bursts out!
Cold Damage: 15d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 5, 6, 1, 5, 6, 2, 5, 3, 5, 2, 3, 3) = 53
Kaldane Reflex for Half: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Gonna make the executive decision to use Kaldane’s folio reroll on this because he, as a player, would know that this number didn’t succeed against this spell (since it’s what he rolled last time) and it would definitely kill him. Does anybody disagree with me about that being a fair bot?
Kaldane Reroll w/3 stars: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 3 = 25 success
Hendric Reflex for Half: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26 success
Sentry Reflex: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 23 success
She then flies over and around Tortuga to the other side of the room.
The wall of blades conforms back into a Large golem and strikes out at Tortuga!
Yellow vs Tortuga: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (2) + 27 = 29
Damage: 2d10 + 12 ⇒ (5, 10) + 12 = 27
Grab: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (6) + 33 = 39 miscalculated this number earlier (not that it made a difference); +33 is correct.
Ratarion steps over and catches his balance with Sulii’s shoulder. ”Gods…What…?” His eyes fall on his hand and he desperately tries to remove a ring on his finger with his teeth but fails to do so.
”S-she hypnotized me! Made me activate this ring for some reason! I-I don’t know how to turn it off and I can’t get it off of my hand!”

Sir Hendric delays until Kaldane does whatever it is he is going to do. Kaldane took 21 (after aasimar Cold Resistance) so is at 15/183 after the Particulate Form healing, Sir Hendric is at 40/88, and Géatan is at 34/112 (had his Particulate Form dispelled).
Our monks are in good health, however. Clean living. (Well maybe not for Tortuga.)
We've got to get away from that golem before it does the blade-wall thing again. Géatan, can you wait to act until after Kaldane and I go? If you kill it with your arrows, I don't want to be in the blast radius. I think the things on the map between it and us are just curtains (but maybe they are walls).

Kaldane steps back and flicks a hand up to heal some of the pain that's been inflicted on him and his teammates
Mass Cure Serious: 3d8 + 28 ⇒ (3, 5, 5) + 28 = 41

Kaldane's remaining spells after the last turn that I botted:
1st: 6, 2nd: 0, 3rd: 3, 4th: 1, 5th: 3, 6th: 2, 7th: 3
Then you used a Quickened Cure Serious (7th) last round and now a Mass Cure Serious (7th), so remaining is:
1st: 6, 2nd: 0, 3rd: 3, 4th: 1, 5th: 3, 6th: 2, 7th: 1
With the option to still use another Quickened Cure X this round if you want.

Senty moves, and Sir Hendric readies to disarm if Suliji comes within reach. He also uses a swift action to activate his Rune of Alacrity, +2 Dodge bonus for 3 rounds (so AC 41 with that and Fervor).
Disarm: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (11) + 29 = 40

don't forget to move kaldane!

Geatan unleashes his attacks, first at the golem, then at the hand if the golemn explodes.
first attack: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (20) + 29 = 49
dommage adamantine:: 1d8 + 29 + 1d8 + 29 ⇒ (1) + 29 + (8) + 29 = 67
second attack:: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (5) + 29 = 34
dommage adamantine:: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Third attack:: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (16) + 24 = 40
dommage adamantine:: 1d8 + 29 ⇒ (1) + 29 = 30
Fourth attack: : 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23
dommage adamantine: : 1d8 + 29 ⇒ (8) + 29 = 37
blessing of fervor: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (19) + 29 = 48
dommage adamantine:: 1d8 + 29 ⇒ (8) + 29 = 37
Crit? first attack: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (1) + 29 = 30
dommage adamantine:: 1d8 + 29 + 1d8 + 29 + 1d8 + 29 + 1d8 + 29 ⇒ (5) + 29 + (4) + 29 + (6) + 29 + (4) + 29 = 135
My apologies if any of that is wrong. Don't suppose anyone knows if he has an ability to let him reroll that crit confirm?
