Discuss amongst yourselves your party composition. Once you've decided we can start gameplay.

Alright, here's the characters I have in range:
- Angoldir, helpful elven investigator
- Sunlight Under Stone, vine leshy kineticist
- Reginald Gerbin III, human witch (although he's busy with another PbP right now and probably would not be available)
I could also bring to life one of the following:
- oread unchained monk (punches real good)
- human counterspelling wizard (Pope of Nope!)
- vine leshy bloodrager (I AM GROOT!!!)
- ratfolk alchemist (what if we just EXPLODED the trap?)
I would prefer to use an existing character, but I'm still happy to bring another idea into the light of day!

So this thread is where we can discuss things like “Did that hit?” and “Could you clarify what just happened?” between players (not characters). If your entire post is OOC, this is probably the best place for it.
GM Picatrix |
Map is accurate but it's the red orc that's "dead". In-game, the only one who thinks they're illusory is Benqai the eidolon. I've been rolling secret will saves whenever one of you hits or is hit by an orc. But they've all been unsuccessful until Benqai's last attack.
GM Picatrix |
I will remind y'all that you still think the orcs are real (besides Bhenqai). You get a bonus to disbelieve now, the next time you attack them/they attack you. I've been gone all day and I gotta get ready for PFS at Oasis in just a few so I'll get a proper update later on when I have some time.
Angoldir |
So I've decided on the following language substitutions that Angoldir uses. Feel free to add your own, but once a language is on the list let's keep it consistent.
- Celestial -> Hindu
- Elvish -> Welsh
Qadar |
Teeheehee. The bold may act. Our GM’s so clever.
Angoldir |
To clarify - as I understand, even when Angoldir does 0 or less damage with an attack he still deals 1 point of non-lethal damage. Is this correct?
Angoldir |
Well that’s a silly decision (that investigators have extracts, but can’t use spell-trigger items).
Qadar |
Update to the language list:
- Celestial -> Hindi
- Elvish -> Welsh
- Draconic -> Finnish
Angoldir |
Does Kevin have ~35 lbs of carrying capacity available?
GM Picatrix |
@Ja’ali and Angoldir, I intend to resume ASAP. Dan has invited a couple of local players. If we don't hear back or they decline, I'll open up the two spots to others.
X Hums |
Oh, hello! I'll be creating a fresh level 1 for this. So, specifically not looking at gameplay, I hear you need a frontliner. I can bring my Dual-Personality barbarian (going though alchemist to master chymist eventually), or if needed I can quickly stat up a battle cleric. I'd prefer to do the barbarian, but battle cleric works just as easily for me.
Let me know!
GM Picatrix |
I found y'all a Cleric (PM just sent).

I have some slight memories of the module from listening to a podcast a few months ago in which Jason Bulmahn ran this module in his prototype version of Pathfinder 2.0.
GM Picatrix |
Welcome, Zoot. PFS #78, huh? Wow, that makes my 30 organized play characters seem paltry. I'm glad you're here and looking forward to getting this game going again. Brief history: I recently got into PbP and got a few local players together and started this module. A couple of them fizzled out and realized PbP just wasn't for them. We just got another local (soon-to-introduce-themselves Barbarian), and you're rounding out the party as the person with basic medical training, as you put it.
GM Picatrix |
Oh and before I forget: we started this module during PbP Gameday VII, so everyone roll for boons. 19 or 20 gets a boon. If you win, please roll a d4 as well.
boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Zoot Lierin |
About me: I think I'm at about #120-something. Not that all of them have been played of course! This is Zoot's first outing. She is of course based upon the famous Zoot (or was it her sister Dingo?) of Castle Anthrax fame, so you can tell I'm old.... What else? Oh, I wrote for Dungeon when Paizo had the rights, and it was glossy magazine with pages, and a cover and stuff. More 'old' stuff.
Here comes the BOON!1d20 ⇒ 191d4 ⇒ 4
Beginner's luck!
Well, that's all I needed to do in this game, so see you! ;)

About me: I've been playing Pathfinder IRL for almost 3 years now as a GM. I've played a large variety of games and enjoy the challenge of min-maxing a character, and then rollplaying that character effectively. This is only my second time as a player for PbP, and my first time GMing and playing PbP are also in progress atm. So....there's that! I'm also only on character 6, so I definitely feel like a baby here in the group.
Character sheet should be ready in approximately 12 hours. I'll post in gameplay then.

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 13
So, we've been asked to investigate a ruin and retrieve a flame to bring back to the village to keep the people safe through the coming year. We've been traveling for 2-3 days now and are about the enter said crypt of said everflame.
GM Picatrix |
@Zoot I need your email as well, for the boon. PM is fine if you don't want to post it here.

Gah! After so long I basically gave up on this—didn’t know it would come back up.
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3

PM sent! The little red dot PM indicator was broken the last time I checked.

Just gonna let you guys know about something Picatrix said about today in another PbP he's running for me:
I'm leaving for a long-ish hike in a few and I won't update...until I'm back.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Petition to relabel "up" as "North" on the map - or to rotate the map 90 degrees. This is becoming a headache otherwise.

Zoot Lierin |
Like this?
Well that's certainly better than what I was thinking of.
Meanwhile, in-game. No wonder people have a hard time with doors in this company. I just realized how scrawny the party is. The -1 CMB on Ja'ali gave it away. Basically, until Psamtic showed up bookish, cloistered Zoot was the muscle of the party with a strength of 8! She should start pushing you other wimps around more often. You little girlie men have chests narrower than one of Psamtic's thighs. Nerds! I can understand Angoldir, He's all brain, but that must be one heck of a charisma 18 Ja'ali must have--like Steve Rogers pre-super soldier serum--to garner him such a hunky picture. I see now though that if Zoot leans into Ja'ali all romantic-like again all that will happen is that they'll both fall down. ;)
Psamtic should just tuck everyone under her arms, and just run around kicking down the doors. We'll be out of here in no time!
