And since I'd rather not have to deal with two shadows when we can't handle one, should we run? GM permitting, we could all change our actions to withdrawing from this room and hoping it doesn't follow us.

The idea was that the 1 point of fire damage could do something. Not much, but something.

Does anyone particularly want to stay and fight this thing?

Psamtic, why a torch? Meta-wise I am pretty sure torches don't work any better against shadows than a club would.

As for retreating, I have no problems with not seeing what's in this room.

So since there is a hard corner in the way the shadow takes a -4 to hit Zoot for cover and can't AoO her if she were to move back. The problem is that because channeling is a burst if she moves too far back she can't hit the shadow with it.

So that said and because she hasn't taken her move action yet this round, what if she and everyone else falls back out of this bottleneck. Psamtic can just withdraw then instead of defending.

The only other option we have is to force our way forward into the room. Psamtic is the one person with the best view of the room so she should probably be the one to tell us if there is anything worth fighting for inside, or if there are just 9 more shadows just around the corner.

For th record I had intended on getting some holy water for Zoot's battle aspergillum, but ran out of funds. Does anyone else have any holy water?

Psamtic would happily retreat at this point. Maybe even sleep a few days if it wouldn't be too bad (Strength damage on strength character sucks, it's literally the only thing I'm actually good at lol)

Hey, I had a busy day and now my weekly home game went SUPER late and I need to go to bed. I'll advance us later on today (Friday).

Sorry for being away the past few days. Had a last-minute mini skiing trip with family and was not able to post. I'll get caught back up shortly.

I have an IRL Pathfinder convention from 10am to midnight today and tomorrow, so I may not get to posting again until Sunday. Just as a heads up.

Hey all, I need to apologize for disappearing. I got really really sick. I feel terrible for just disappearing like that though. I was hoping to get caught back up on my games tonight but I still don’t feel well and have no motivation. I’m thinking one more good night’s rest and I’ll be feeling well enough to go through everything I missed since the weekend. I’m really sorry.

I just got a Research Specialist boon and want to slap it on Angoldir. With the GM's permission, would anyone like to tell Angoldir about an adventure they've had?

Not to be that guy (who am I kidding, I’m always that guy), but if you only just got it then you can’t fill it out yet; you need to have it at the beginning of the scenario to do so. If you already had it and just forgot about it, that’d be a different story.

Quick heads-up: I have a guest coming over for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday night to spend a couple days. I will be sure to post Wednesday but I won’t be able to post Thursday and maybe not Friday. Either way, I'll make sure to keep things moving over the weekend.

So, entertaining story regarding that Research Specialist boon...

I got one in a trade and wanted to have Angoldir use it. When I filled it out and went to file it with his other chronicle sheets this weekend, what did I find but another Research Specialist boon from last summer I'd already applied to him. So the new one is going to another character, and if Ja'ali would pretty please tell a story that'd be great.

Fine. Ja'ali went on a patronage to Heaven to help a corrupted woman become freed. He had to deal with her inner demons personified in order to free her. They managed to do so and made friends with the Heavenly Host therein.

Hey all, I'm back from my road trip. I apologize again for taking off with such short notice. I have my home group Adventure Path tonight that I'm getting ready for now. And a few things I need to do tomorrow morning. But I'll get caught up and posting in gameplay by tomorrow evening/night.

This week is my midterm week right before Spring Break, so I've got a lot of work to do. My Play by Post commitments are getting the backburner. I'll still attempt to post every day, but I can make no guarantees for about a week. Once my paper, homework, lab report, midterm, and various other commitments are taken care of, I'll update here.

Apologies for my small absence there. Life got busy (last semester of my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering). As a heads up I may be busy for a few more days, but I'll still try to post. Bot me if needed, though. No need to wait around for me to possibly have time to post.

General heads-up to all my PbP groups: I have a local PFS con Friday 4/12 and Saturday 4/13 with games from 8am-10+PM MST. I don't foresee being able to update my PbP games during this time (these twice-yearly cons are fun but also kinda grueling).

I'll try to get some basic botting up for my PC games. My GM games probably won't be updated until Sunday or Monday.

My parents will be in town this weekend, so a lot of my time will be spent with them. On top of that, I'll be GMing the entirety of the Ruby Phoenix Tournament from 8am to 10pm Friday at a local con (same one as GM), so I will very likely be unable to post Friday, and the possibility of posting Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are still up in the air. In my Player games, please bot where necessary. In my GM games, thank you for your continued patience. I REALLY hope everything goes back to normal come Tuesday.

Hey all, I apologize for being MIA again. I’ve had some life/work issues I don’t really want to get into but they’ve kept me from my PbP games for a few days and I’m sorry. I’m not going to bail on our game; I’ll catch back up when I can, hopefully by tomorrow.

Hey y’all, I need to apologize again for the absence. I’m still going through some rough stuff in my real life and haven’t been able to make PbP a priority. But I really do want to get us finished. We are really close. I intended to advance us right now but my laptop must have accidentally gotten unplugged and is dead (I took it to the park for some peace and quiet and pleasant surroundings). I have my home adventure path group tonight but I fully intend on advancing our scenario tomorrow and posting regularly until it is finished.

I do feel bad about my delays of late. It’s like the longer I wait, the worse I feel about wasting your time and the more I dread trying to get it done. Anyway, like I said, I fully intend to advance us tomorrow and get the scenario finished.
