2) Who's sleeping in what? Are you out in the open, do you erect a tent, other?
Ammonis has tent, will cast alarm spell, fey and ammonis takes 1st watch
Iyon will take the last watch.
Far too late I realise I have not bought a tent in character creation but Iyon has suvival +9 so erecting a temporary shelter should be doable.
Are we all sleeping in our armor?
We should just establish a standing routine, and mention deviations as they come up.

For now, this is what I can gather:
Fay and Ammonis on first watch.
2 hours in, Agyen wakes and takes over.
Iyon wakes before dawn to assist in watch.
Ammonis is in a tent.
Agyen is in a tent.
Iyon using Survival to attempt to build a crude shelter.
Ammonis casts alarm around the camp's perimeter.
I need to know the following:
1) What are Ulave's and Rurik's sleeping conditions?
2) Iyon, Ulave, Rurik, and Agyen: are you sleeping in your armor, or removing it prior to sleeping?
Once I have the answers to these questions I can push forward.
Ulave's player is camping. Just talked to him in RL, he said Ulave has tent, and will sleep in his mithral chain chirt. Will be back soon.

Sorry, have been very busy lately. Behind in work and family life. Also a little perplexed on how Ulave should handle this whole ghast-thang without being an annoyance to everybody else. Indeed, I was hoping that Rurik would have chimed in with some hard-nosed questions. I also totally misunderstood what "faint evil" means as the outcome of a detect evil event, so had to delete written, completed post.
That's completely understandable.
Rurik hasn't posted in a few days, but hopefully he will be back to chime in and assist in-character. I'm loathe to make important choices for a PC that will impact their livelihood, so I'd much prefer he pop in to tell us how he's spending the night. In the end, I may have to just choose for him.
Tents may be for sale in town. Might as well get one.
Agyen won't sleep in armour for the moment. Spells may change this.
Iyon wont be sleeping in his armour, he'll be putting it into his handy haversack which will be doubling as his pillow... the paranoia is real!
Also sorry someone had an accident at work and I was covering so there has been a LOT of work.

No worries. There are times when games must yield to life responsibilities.
In theory, it's easy to view PbP as a light hobby, but as we well know, sitting down to write a good post can take many minutes, and that's only after setting aside time to sit down at the computer. Add up a few games, and you have a serious time commitment on your hands. When real life demands our time, I don't mind botting and pushing the game forward, as long as we can pop in once in a while to say as much.
Speaking of, I have one opening in another campaign, The Northlands Saga, also by Frog God Games. This one is a Viking-themed campaign! We have just completed a bonus module and begun Book 2 of the AP proper. The PCs are currently on a voyage into the far north (the arctic) to investigate the death of their former jarl. Your PC would most likely be a member of the crew. This one has tight restrictions on class choice, so look to those details before you commit (see the player's guide and my GM profile for all the information). You would be level 6 (15 point buy).
Rurik and Ammonis are currently players in that game as well. Is anyone else interested?
I am tempted, but I have to be honest with myself and say that I do not have the time for one more campaign. I've been following that one, and have to say it looks fun. The writing has been fantastic.
Ulave is usually the wiser, if more cautious, man that I. I now find myself in 6 campaigns :)
I'll be posting late afternoon today.
There are necessary actions that writing must perform, just to keep everything moving along. The problem with pbp is that most of the time, your writing can do nothing of consequence until the DM's iterative clock steps the game forward, and the necessary ACKs have been received. The only real narrative freedom one has is to explore the interior world of the character, and events occurring in the character's past. Of that the DM has no veto, nor any of the other PCs. I am free to make Ulave's past, but of his future I have little authority!
Does the hangman trigger the alarm spell?
woops, yes it does. Inserting that now. We can assume everyone hears it and wakes up, and can act immediately (but not that, since we're in initiative, standing up takes a move action).
I'll have to have a gander at the players guide Friday.

Oh yeah. While I am in a *lot* of campaigns, not all are active daily. And I handle text well as a rule. Still, when real life kicks in, time can get squeezed hard, like in the last week or so. But things should be getting back to normal from now on.
As for that game, I do love vikings! I'll have a proper look come the weekend.

Anyone can take a turn as they've woken up. That is now :). I didn't roll initiative for everyone because it didn't matter beyond Agyen and the hanged men. Now everyone can go.

Ulave just contacted me in RL. His house just flooded (again) from Hurricane Michael that sent a heavy band of rain into Virginia and South Carolina. It is safe to say that he will find it hard to post.
That's terrible! We've been getting a lot of rain in Tennessee as well. Please give him our best and tell him he's welcome back whenever he's able.
I got about seven feet of flood water (and mud and whatever) in my basement. The railroad culvert downstream blew out and 10 minutes later the water was out of my house. I guess you know who I blame.

Right. With the interruption, you need 9 hrs of rest, with at least one hour before spell preparation. That shouldn't be an issue on this particular night.
Oh ok. I thought that Ammonis would have to start over with another 8 hours of rest.
