We're still in the surprise round. You only get a move action or a standard action, so you can give your weapon the dancing property this round, but cannot release it to float until the next round. Also, you now have a skyrocket in one hand and the broadsword in the other.

I messaged the other 2 party members 2 days ago but have not heard from them, so I'll proceed as if they're on delay, and if they don't chime in before the end of the week, I'll treat them as having dropped out. We still have the minimum 4, so we're good to proceed.

Alden's initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Alden, you can read the spoilered bit for Exiel above, since you're close enough to see it too.

As soon as Subject 42 sees the two, he will aim the skyrocket to hit behind the one furthest away from his teammate. Until then, he will sneak down the stairs. Stopping as soon as he can see them.

42, you sneak down the stairs, hiding behind the low stone surrounding it. As you round the corner, you see not two, but ONE hulking figure sitting under the stairs, having an intense discussion with itself, then breaking off as it spots Exiel and Alden, and maybe you. In any case, you light your firework, which you can fire next round.

GM's rolls:

who to attack in init order: 1d3 ⇒ 2

As the creature rises to its feet, its two heads fix their gazes on Exiel and utters something in the same strange tongue. Exiel must make 2 will saves.

Exiel:

DC13 will save or suffer -2 to all saves for 4 rounds. If you succeed, you take the penalty for only 1 round.
Then make a DC13 will save again or fall asleep for 4 rounds.

Everyone else declare your actions for round 1.

42, you can declare for round 2.

Subject 42 will move a little to the left and fire the skyrocket where it will hit the wall behind the creature.

Skyrocket:

the skyrocket flies for 90 per round for 1d6 rounds, or until it hits something solid.. which will be the wall. so I'm not gonna roll for that.

he has a 50% chance of being blinded or deafened... It doesn't say per target, it's anyone taking damage from the skyrocket... i don't know how this works on a two-headed creature.

After the skyrocket leaves 42 hands, he will follow after it, pulling out his Ghost touch scimitar. It's the one in the glamored sheath.

He'll stop 10 feet away from the creature.

42, I don't see in the description where it says it explodes upon hitting something solid. I can allow that the wall will stop it from flying any further, but it'll explode in 1d6 rounds.

Any chance Alden knows what this creature is?

Alden will move around the corner and use the Aid Another action to add +6 to Exiel's next attack. He's also use Swift Aid to add +1 to Exiel's AC. aid another: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 <-against a 10

Alden also gains an additional +1 to his AC against the creature because it's larger than him (from Underfoot) so his AC against the creature is currently 28.

He and Naala will use their attacks of opportunity to add more AC to Exiel or any other opponents that are attacked while adjacent to them. Each one can use Aid Another as an AOO, as long as their "attack roll" hits AC 10, Alden adds +9 Dodge AC and Naala adds +5 Dodge AC, for a total of +14 AC. Alden has a +9 (so only fails on a 1) and Naala has a +7 (So fails on a 1 or 2).

Exiel moves in to attack and draws blood.

Alden aids Exiel on his next attack (your attack in round 2), giving advice on attacking and defending whilst getting ready to bodily move him out of harm's way if needed. He also identifies the creature as an ettin, a two-headed giant that is able to fight especially well with 2 weapons due to its two heads. However, they tend to not be too clever.

Sue moves around the corner and poses a question to the ettin, who just looks at her blankly, then ignores her. You get the impression that your profound question and musings have fallen on ears that could not comprehend a word you said.

Exiel stands at the entrance of the tunnel, in plain sight with his hooked lance held upright in his right hand, waiting to see who or what comes out of it.

Sorry guys, paladin's gotta do what a paladin's gotta do. XD

As you wait, the shuffling gets louder and louder, and soon you see a sight that is at once both comical and menacing. Crawling on his hands and knees is a large, muscular humanoid figure. He has frost-white skin and long, light blue hair that he wears braided, and he appears to be somewhat frustrated by the human-sized tunnels that he is trying to traverse. As soon as he sees Exiel, he lets out a deafening bellow, and tries to move forward as quickly as he can towards the puny man-holding-stick in front of him.

If Fred takes up the whole tunnel:
42 will back up and bet onto each side of the tunnel opening and whisper to Exiel "Back up and let him come out.

If Fred leaves some room in the tunnel:
42 will move forward into the cave indentation.

Both, 42 waits for Fred to get by him before he attacks.

You can hide in that part of the tunnel and hope he does not notice you. Also, Fred is considered squeezing whilst in the tunnel, and takes a -4 to AC and attack rolls.

Exiel whispers to the others, "it's at a disadvantage in the tunnel. We should take him out whilst he's trapped in there."

With that, he readies an action to stab the large thing's face as soon as it gets close.

If action triggers:
attack roll: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Sue, 42 is invisible. How do you even know he is there? I'll allow it this time to move things along, but after this, no more targeting of invisible allies unless you have some way to detect them.

You reposition yourselves in readiness for Fred's advance. Yes, Exiel, Fred.)

Fred continues to stumble down the passage, getting close but not close enough to trigger Exiel's readied action. He continues to bellow something in a foreign tongue every step of the way.
