Spotting two of the creatures, he cries out "I see them too!"

Moving forward, he casts glitterdust, attempting to cover both the creatures in the dust, or getting one and coming as close to getting the second one as he can.

"And now, everybody sees them!" he cries triumphantly.

Suck on a -40 to stealth!

"GET THEM!!!"

That was me activating my battle cry feat. Allies within 30 feet (that's everyone) gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear for 1 minute, and each can end the effect on his or her self to reroll a failed saving throw.

Constantin charges into the room whilst Exiel casts his spell. A bright burst of glowing particles appears over the racks in the room, covering three creatures of the description given by Constaintin and 42.

GM rolls:

3d20 ⇒ (5, 19, 8) = 32

Two of the creatures cry out in alarm and start to fumble about. Sue enters the room and focuses her divine-wrath on the un-blinded one and readies herself for an attack, followed shortly by Alden.

The creatures each quaff another potion and the forms start to warp and blur. Shortly after, 42 enters the room as well and conjures a magical plane of force from his wand to protect himself.

The racks are 10ft high and the cavern is 15ft high. You will need 15ft reach or a ranged attack to get to them from ground-level. Climbing the rack yourself will require a climb check, and you will incur penalties if you try to climb and fight with your two-handed weapon.

Constantin hangs back to see how things develop whilst Exiel moves in closer to the action. Sue seizes the initiative and unleases a barrage of shuriken at the strange creature.

miss chance: 2d100 ⇒ (40, 50) = 90

Two of the shuriken strike true, drawing blood from the creature. It hisses at Sue and responds by quickly raising a blowgun to its lips and firing a dart at her.

attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

The dart speeds towards Sue's neck, but she flicks it aside with her index finger at the last moment. (I assume you'd use your deflect arrows feat on this).

The other two blinded creatures cling on to where they are on the racks, cursing at Exiel in a foreign tongue as they try to shake off the effects of the dust.

Hey GM, I just re-read your earlier post about their elevation. If the racks are 10ft high, I should still be able to reach them with my reach weapon? If I'm directly below them, I'm vertically in the square 5ft from ground level and they're in the square 15ft from ground level, making them 10ft from me. =)

Also, if I can reach them, can I attempt to use my hooked lance to pull them down to the ground?

Constantin continues to wait for developments whilst 42 takes out the wand of levitation and attempts to trick it into working. He critically succeeds (not because he rolled a natural 20, but because levitation is a magus spell). Meanwhile, Exiel sizes up one of the 3 creatures: 1d3 ⇒ 3, reaches out with his lance to snag him with the hook, and pulls! The creature sees Exiel's attack coming and catches himself on a horizontal beam at the top of racks, but Exiel tugs hard, and the beam gives way, causing Forrest to tumble to the ground.

Yes, their forms are blurry.

The dust cloud engulfing Exiel, Alden and Naala soon subsides. Exiel and Naala are able to hold their breaths and brush off a few tiny pale-coloured worms. Alden however coughs reflexively, and inhales some of the cloud...and possibly some of the worms within. He gets the feeling that he is not going to be well in 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 3) = 19 hours.

At this point, I'll call the fight ended. There's no way he's going to survive another round against you guys.

You search the bodies of the three deformed creatures but do not find much of interest apart from several vials that seem to require specific activation before they will yield any effect. (These guys were alchemists.)

Searching the chamber itself reveals that that various supplies in this chamber make up a complete alchemist's lab.

DC 15 Perception:

You also find a foul-smelling potion of remove blindness/deafness. It seems unusually murky and smells like an ogre's breath, which is odd because the potion usually smells rather benign.

To the West of this chamber is a doors decorated with wreaths of goat skulls woven together with catgut and cornhusks and then hardened and stuck to the doors with lime and shellac. The door also bears a carving of what appears to be an old hunchbacked crone with a piercing gaze directed at whoever stands before the door.

The door itself is unlocked, and the passage beyond remains supernaturally darkened, though the light from Constantin's ring continues to keep the oppressive darkness at bay.

The passage soon leads you to yet another cavern. The air is still and rancid in this cavern, permeated with the scent of rotting flesh. At first glance, the floor and walls appear curiously wrinkled, but closer inspection reveals they have been carpeted with some sort of dried flesh. In the center of the chamber, five wooden totem poles hold aloft a macabre canopy crafted from an untold number of poorly preserved skins crudely stitched together. The poles supporting the canopy are carved with the leering faces of old women, not unlike that of the carving on the door you passed through a few moments ago. Each of the carved faces is slightly different, though all are hideous and disfigured, with hooked noses, oversized warts, snaggletoothed maws, and other exaggerated features.

You are about 50ft from the mouth of the cavern. Your one-minute buffs have faded, though your minute-per-level buffs are still in effect. The maps have been updated.
