Isawa Kenshi |
"Ume-san, do you think that Kaede-heika started as she was today? There was a time when she was simply a bright young girl approaching her gempukku, likely with a great deal of apprehension as is common in all young samurai." Kenshi paused a moment to let the image sink in.
"It is the choices we make in life that define us Ume-san - not who we stand in front of or even who we were born as. Kaede-heika made her choices, just as you must make your choices. That hers have carried her so far is a testament to her ability, but even her ability can be tied back to her choices. You have made wise choices thus far Ume-san - otherwise you would not be here to represent our clan. I have no reason to think that your future choices will shame you - even in front of Kaede-heika."
Kitsu Airi |
Airi smirks a little smirk of her own, returning a bow that was not so much mocking but ever so slightly sarcastic, and maybe a little silly.
[b]"Much I've heard of the strength of the Crab, but the Kitsu do not often travel outside Lion lands, and so I wanted to see for myself the brave ones who defend the Empire.
"But please, don't pay me any mind, continue the stories. Festivities are festivities...and what's a little festive mood without some impropriety?" The last part of her statement carries an undertone of suggestiveness in a general manner that invites the listener to draw their own conclusions.
Doji Seijuro |
Entering into the dojo, Seijuro seeks out Arata immediately. "My apologies for breaking your solitude, Arata-san, but it seems that festivities have begun outside. The Empress, Fortunes protect her, is with child. If you would like, you may seek some reprieve from your studies."
