you notice nothing but the men whimpering on the floor, these red scarf thieves have passed the boundaries of mortal sanity... The staff glows in your hand Unmarked and you can tell that it is no ordinary bauble, the kobold was either very lucky or very powerful to acquire this staff wrought of pure kyber dragonshards...

The kobold shaman takes the staff with great reverence and begins muttering in draconic, you can clearly tell by the repeating words that it has something to do with obsession...
Congratulations each of you receive four hundred xp and we will be using fast track xp. You have also acquired your first "kingdom" assets. An "asset" is basically something that will help your future kingdom grow and prosper. In this instance the kobold shaman can be used in three ways once you have a kingdom. One he can be used to boost your economy each turn of your kingdom, two he can be used to bolster your military and three he can be sent out on diplomatic "missions" to kobold tribes to convince them to emigrate to your new found kingdom. Need any clarifications?

As the kobold departs to tell his followers of the good news Drask speaks, [b]We will be leaving in a few minutes before we head out for any of you non warforged who are wounded should seek out Priestess Rye. As for you go to artificer Haldrek, the man may be insane but he can repair anything...
yep using UC rules.

assets acquired listed and also you might want to get in the roleplay mode beyond simply getting healed... Pretty much every non npc class character on the caravan is a potential kingdom asset. However they aren't exactly fully committed and its your job to convince them to give it all...I doubt you will convince them all to fully commit however seeing as several of them are rivals by inclinations.

First you meet this npcs or you learn about them from other caravan members, after all there are six of them besides the kobold.
Unmarked, You find the mad artificer Haldrek lurking in his makeshift laboratory which happens to be a set of ale barrels...the man doesn't even notice you as you approach he is focused on a sort of crossbow like invention although you wonder what it fires... The man himself is in his thirties from the look of it and his hair is frizzed and points upwards and madness gleams in his mismatched eyes one purple the other orange...
Artor, you find Priestess Rye and see immediately that she is a Priestess of the Blood. Her garments are blood red literally and you sense something "off" about her. You don't see her hair behind her hood but you do see her exceptionally pale face and her ruby red lips... She is cleaning several sets of surgical knives and other healer tools and judging from the crates on the ground with the Karnathi military medical corps logo on them she seems well prepared for the journey ahead...

Unmarked, the artificer looks up at you briefly from his crossbow experiment and speaks. This here fine contraption be my Xivagamowat! It is the future of warfare and as for repairs I can do that, sit on the cart while I sort through me tools...
Artor, Priestess Rye studies you cautiously you get the feeling that she is deciding whether or not you are a threat...then she speaks in a neutral tone. Eh I have everything I need, Karnath military surplus is the best. Now why are you really here, it's rare for a servant of the Host who does not come from Karnath to chat with one of the Blood...

Unmarked, the insane artificer begins his work with an odd series of contraptions that seem to have been made from...cutlery indeed you could swear that one of them was a rusted meat cleaver. You are repaired and the artificer almost immediately hops back to that..."Xivagamowat" of his.
Artor, You seem interesting but tell me, did you fight in the Last War like I did all those years ago? In particular did you fight against Thrane?

The Xivagamowat was to be my finest invention, It would revolutionize the battlefield as we know it. With the Xivagamowat a soldier would be able to destroy dozens of enemies at a time... Haldrek's speech then descends into a bizarre series of pseudo scientific/arcane calculations...

know psionics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 i have no knowledge arcane, so if knowledge psionics (the closest i have) isn't applicable, then Unmarked wouldn't have a clue what he is talking about.
"Do you need me to test it out for you on the battlefield?"

You don't get the specifics concerning the weapon itself thanks to your check Unmarked but you do get the gist of it being err..."unhealthy" if you were in front of it and the trigger was pulled...
As you speak a young blonde woman comes up and sees immediately who you have been talking to. She has the appearance of a engineer and keeps her black hair short and her coal black eyes look at the artificer with extreme disdain (think of her looks as mildly steampunk). Then she speaks, Sorry stranger for you having to hear my mad uncle's ramblings. I tried to convince mother to lock him up in an insane asylum but she just didn't have the stomach to do it...as for that so called "weapon" (intense eye rolling) it's nothing more then a piece of kobold crap assembled from random scrapheaps from who knows where...

Not my uncle's insanity, the Xivagamowat is a weapon design banned by house Cannith with good reason... Their was only one of the weapons in existence and while terrifying on the battlefield it was a ticking time bomb... Kalinnar d'Cannith was destroyed by his own invention... If you want stable, useful artifice come to me not this madman. With that the lady marches off to her own wagon which seems to be far more orderly (in comparison) then Haldrek's...
Kyrso you see that the weapon could unleash power destructive forces however it is missing several key components...you wouldn't use it as a weapon in it's current state if your life depended on it...
Haldrek and his Niece are assets while I won't give you the mechanics of what they can do I will give you a summary. The Niece will give you stable inventions that while not as powerful as Haldrek's won't have the sheer potential for catastrophe, Haldrek's inventions are the exact opposite.

The caravan travels through the night and the moons of eberron begin to disappear as the sun rises...the caravan has traveled a great length of ten miles and is taking a break to refresh itself...
As you rest on your wagon and drink from canteens a small, red scaled kobold comes running towards you and screeches in a shrill, winy voice. Drask wants you now! Now!

You follow the kobold and see that Drask is readying a dinosaur with a great crest and two horns for travel, the beast is laden with goods. Some of the goods seem fairly valuable while others such as the beautiful scorpion pendants wrought of Jade seem quite strange... Drask sees you approaching and motions you to come closer.
