You all have arrived at the Leaky Dingy to meet with the famous Karnathi war hero who will be leading the expedition... The waves and wind outside batter the Leaky Dingy on its stilts and cause the place to rock back and forth. The patrons seem not to care though as they gamble away their gold and drink themselves into a stupor... Welcome to Xen'drik brave adventurers, welcome to your new home...

A figure in a hooded cloak walks in, his heavy footsteps masked by the repetitive THUD of the flotsam colliding with the aptly-named Leaky Dinghy and the din of the inebriated patrons within.
The figure approaches the bar, reaching oddly-shaped crystalline hands up to pull back its cloak. The visage within was somewhat unsettling, though most meatbags wouldn't know quite why. The warforged's forehead was missing a plate, leaving twisted plates of metal framing exposed wires and small crystals. Those familiar with warforged would look upon it much the same as most would a man with a fist-sized hole in his head.
In an inharmonic, low-pitched chime of a voice, the figure said to the barkeep, "I am looking for Kalin Drask."

The sodden dwarf is cleaning out a already spotless tankard and looks up at you.Go to the balcony at the far end of the room he is taking recruits for the expedition there. Be warned tin man Kalin Drask will love you if you served under Karnath during the Last War, if ye served under Thrane though... the dwarf visibly gulps and makes a slashing gesture over his throat.

Artor |

A dwarf enters the inn next. He is on the tall side for a dwarf, and is wearing robes that indicate that he is a servant of Dol Arrah. He is using a halberd as a walking stick and has a warhammer, shield and crossbow on his back. "Barkeep, I need a flagon of good dwarven stout. I am also told that this be the place to find a Kalin Drask."

GM Xen'Dragon |

unmarked, you find Kalin Drask on a balcony protected from the fierce storm by a awning. He is in his early fifties and has a war torn and fierce face, in his eyes you see war, loss and above all else a great will to fight on...Ah another recruit, know how to swing a sword warforged?
Kyrso you notice that the barkeep is giving directions to both a warforged and a dwarf, he is pointing them to the eastern end of the tavern where you see a balcony.

Ormak Kron |

A rather feral looking human wanders into the Leaky Dingy. He looks around, tryin to find the man he was told to meet. 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Perception
Hearing the voices in the back, the Shifter walks back there, but stands quietly, listening. Observing.

GM Xen'Dragon |

Fought with a few Kalashatar in my day, they were strange but they sure did it make the Thranians run...never heard of a warforged with those abilities though. We will be shipping out for the interior tomorrow at eight o clock while the sun be setting, that way we don't die from heat. Just sign your names here and you will all be set to go.

GM Xen'Dragon |

Yes, although a halfling such as yourself will need some sort of justification to come along. We intend to make at least ten miles each and every night, that could be difficult for you to do. Although we do have a shortage of good cooks, our best one Gillan died in a bar brawl...can you cook or better yet have magical talents?

Kyrso |

"Magical talent, of course..."
The halfling smirked at him. Orsko growled...
"Watch this,"
Kyrso focused his mental energy, and channeled it into producing a celestial eagle!
"And I can do that all day. My ability to conjure extraplanar creatures is beyond that of anyone you will find."

GM Xen'Dragon |

We leave tomorrow at 8 o clock as the sun sets, best to make as much progress as we can during the cool nights. It seems we have shifter as well, always a good sight. Damn Thranian missionaries in disguise trying to sign up with this caravan have made my life similiar to Khyber...and any enemy of Thrane is a sight for sore eyes.

GM Xen'Dragon |

The orb of Xen'Drik viewing just broke and the wyrmlings who had by watchig it left the Xen'Dragon sleeping emitted a high pitched whine. The Xen'Dragon awoke suddenly and saw what was going on, the resulting roar of the Xen'Dragon caused hundreds of kobold cultists to charge in and repair the orb. Things were back to normal and the Xen'Dragon slept as the wyrmlings continued to watch OV with the channel set on "adventures set in Xen'Drik".
Time jumping to 7 o clock pm and you guys are at the caravan and the half elf it seems missed the err..."boat".
You see the massive caravan of two hundred souls and you see Kalin Drask speaking with a group of highly irate kobolds. One of them is wearing what seems to be a...drake skull.

Unmarked |

The warforged looks on, his expression not displaying the awe he is in of the caravan of souls.
"Is this to be our cargo?"
woops, may have misunderstood "two hundred souls" to actually be just souls rather than a way to refer to people. nonetheless, i will leave him shocked at a caravan of so many people going into such dense jungle.

GM Xen'Dragon |

As you approach you hear the kobold speaking, lost sacred staff of kyber, kobold need it if you wishes for magic!
Kalin looks haggered and motions you all over. We have one hour to go and this kobold shaman has lost his "sacred staff", we need him and his kind if we hope to survive the Xen'drik ruins in the interior. As kobolds are some of the best trap builders and disassemblers in all of eberron. You yourselves will need to ask the kobold about what happened as I have a caravan to organize.
Now we introduce a reputation mechanic your base reputation is ten and it increases as you complete tasks that help the caravan. High reputation can mean being promoted to officers and many other things as the caravan gets deeper into Xen'drik
