Half Elf Illusionist 2

Silar is about to say thanks to the man that's saving him, but hearing him speak, the only thing is able to pronounce is: What?


The big viking flashes Silar a grin, framed by his blood flecked beard and braided hair.

"Har! Another one who knows not the howling tongue of the North!? Never matter skuggi fara með... "wielder of shadows"... I am Skane, and we'd best head back to the others... Come..."

He gestures with his axe, then raises his shield and backs slowly protecting the mage's move.


Dieredon and Rosslyn scramble to the fallen's bodies, raiding for healing potions. End round 8

As the bandits have turned tail, I would end combat unless somebody is planning to give chase, then I'd work out how much of a head start they'd have. FYI, administering potions to the unconscious=1 full round, searching for potions on a fallen comrade=move action. Standing up=move action.

That being, I'd say you are planning to give chase until you say otherwise.

ROUND 9
The bandits are nowhere to be seen, each putting a thousands steps away from the mansion.

Dieredon carefully pours his newly acquired potion down Betony's throat.
Heal Betony: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Rosslyn however has to move over to the fallen Wesh, and stoops to position Wesh carefully.

Skane runs over to the staggered spellcaster, made greetings and starts to acccompany him nearer to the group.

Silar moves with great difficulty, edging closer to the main group.

ROUND 10
Rosslyn carefully pours the potion into Wesh's mouth, careful not to spill any.
Heal Wesh: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Skane and Silar edge closer, his injured state limiting Silar's movement.

Dieredon, ?Betony to declare actions.

I am sure that was not sufficient to have either Betony or Wesh standing. Rianna: Do we have any other potions to do it again? Please confirm on loot sheet. I did not see any besides those two.

Countless, Rosslyn, we are out of potions and we need Wesh up to distribute the appropriate healing. Let us loot these other bodies quickly, primarily the Cleric and cultists, for healing potions, NOW!

Rosslyn starts rushing to the closest other body she can find, seeing if there are any potions of any kind to be found.


Skane will apologise, then lift the wounded mage and hustles back over towards the main group of felled party members. He'll place Silar down then begin to check the bodies of any downed brawns (will leave Dieredon and Rosslyn to check the cultists as they're closer)...


Dieredon urges the group to search for potions. The fallen bandits reveal some other possession of note but only after searching the dead cleric and bodyguards does the search bear results. A couple of clay bottles are found plus another in a steel flask.

Initiative count is over. From now I'm going to estimate how long each action would take to determine time available to Lucien for his getaway / and other actions.


Experience rewards: Disrupting meeting/alliance=100xp each; carnage=400xp each.

Dieredon will administer the steel flask to Wesh to see if it gets him standing. If not, then one of the clay ones until he does.


Half Elf Illusionist 2

Silar will just rest under a tree, a couple arrows still stuck inside him, waiting for someone to help him stand back on his feet.


The steel flask's contents does not produce any noticeable effects at first but after the last drop of liquid from the clay flask runs down Wesh's throat does his wounds begin to close.

Heal Wesh: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Pour another?:
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

If Wesh is able to get up then let's see him huddle the rest and roll! Else you might try searching elsewhere or try other forms of healing or if UMD the wand if anyone has the skill.

Ah dang it still not up yet at -1 I still have my channel energy.Which would heal a ton of people.

If the dose we gave enables Wesh to stand and start healing, then fine. If not I will give him one of the clay ones.

Dieredon will then begin to try and pick up the tracks of the departing Lucien and friends and try to follow them.

Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Dieredon will then predict the weather to determine if any impending bad weather could wash the tracks away.

Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24


Knowing Wesh's healing can affect both friend and foe, Skane will drag their fallen foes away from where the group lie and administer a coup de grace on any that could still live.

Randall - not sure if any or all of these would be required? Rolled em just incase!

Coup De Grace: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 = 25 damage

Coup De Grace: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 = 30 damage

Coup De Grace: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5+1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7= 21 damage

Wesh awakenes with a strange taste in his mouth on the ground he gets up. Wesh looks around Wesh then says "Get everyone within 30 feet if you have any wounds. " Wesh upon seeing Silar is not restrained or hindered but hurt will channel energy including skane and Dierdon channel 4 more uses after this one. 1d6 ⇒ 5

Rianna wakes up groggy. OW! That hurt! Rianna rubs her wounds, still showing pain in her movements. So, we going after them, or are we cleaning out the mansion? If we are taking off after them, I should take the cure wand and be a healer for the rest of the day.

"I don't know..." the newcomer responds, "as posh as this place is, I don't want to be around when they come back. I'd rather take my chances in the forest."

"Oh! yeah, my name's Rosslyn. Hope you're doing all right."


Now that almost everyone is up and walking, decide current course of actions.

The day is waning late afternoon, the air feels dry and warm. Judging from the wind diection Dieredon feels its going to be overcast tomorrow with a hint of rain on the day after.

Skane stoops down and parts head from shoulders of any enemy fallen that could remain alive. Blood flows freely on the manse compund.

The fleeing bandits leave no more trace of their passing but the tracks are easily seen. How far does Dieredon want to follow the tracks?

Wesh manages to get up and pass freely the bounties of Desna before he feels somewhat sick. BTW, make a Fort save, Wesh

Silar thanks Skane for helping him. You know, for a second there, I tought you were casting an obscure spell. Quite a language you have.

After that, he introduces himself to the rest of the group, and helps getting people up if necessary. Who were those bandits? What happened here?

Welcome Rosslyn and Silar, and thank you for your assistance. I was able to pick up Lucien's trail, and we should be alright following it at least through tomorrow when I expect some rain. I suggest That we get after them now. We can always come back to the mansion later. I would not want them to get too much of a head start.

Dieredon returns to the spot that he dropped his bow and retrieves the same, awaiting the answer of the others.

"Tongue of the North - from whenst I hail... you Southern folk call it Skald... As for spells I have none, save those to seperate a head from its neck har!"

Before we go running off after this lot, think Rianna is right we need that wand charging us all up to the limit HP wise, or it'll be another messy scrap...

Sure another channel isn't worth it? Silar Betony Thistledown skane and rianna are still all minorly hurt.

Wesh will go to teh body of the sect cleric and see what weapon if any he had.

Betony awakes to find her cheek on the ground. She feels a little flick of a tongue on he other cheek. Thistledown is laying on top of her and not making much of an effort to move. Betony struggles to sit up, cradling Thist's head. "Were alright boy. Looks like the baddies ran away."

The pair get to their feet and try to assess the situation.

Betony is at 7 hp and Thistledown is at 1hp

Ok, let's get crackin' with that wand to get everyone to full.


Skane (by my reckoning) is 12/20 HP, so I'll need a shot or two of the wand. Checking over the gear of our foes is also a good shout.

Wesh looks to see if any of teh enemies have any better armor he could fit into.


Wesh feels a tinge of nausea as his stomach protests at something but it soon passes and he soon feels as right as rain.

Searching the fallen enemies outside the mansion takes a short while and soon a small mound of items begins to take form.

If given the wand of cure light, Rianna will start tapping those who need healing while the loot is divided.


The xp awards include everyone. Roll for the hp and recipients of the CLW wand ant tick off the charges. Now, anyone exploring the inner manse?

My suggestion is to get on Lucien's trail before he has an opportunity to regroup. he has not been gone that long. We can always conme back to examine the manse.

Feeling more herself, Betony looks around and sees some new people. She walks up to Rosslyn, "Hello...um...are you with us?...I took a big blow to the head so not everything is clear, but I tend to remember things like friends I travel with. I am Betony...and this here is Thistledown." The big wolf takes a few sniffs and his big tongue takes a lick of her hand.

With us all healed, I am for a quick search and then pursuing. We can still heal a bit, while they are wounded and limited. Dieredon and Thistledown can both track so we have some overlap there in finding their trail.

"Well, hello there!" Rosslyn responds, giving Thistledown a pat on the head. To Betony, she adds, "Hi, I'm Rosslyn. Hope you're feeling better. Who were those people? I was sent to spy on this place by the church, and it looks like they were right, there were some bad folks in here. I'm good in the forest, I can track them, so I don't mind chasing after them. However, maybe we should look for a map or something. Let's be fast so they don't meet up with us again. How about we all meet back here in the entryway in half an hour to head out?"
