The Reign of Winter Adventure Path assumes that your character starts in or around the small village of Heldren in southern Taldor. This area contains populations of humans, halflings, half-elves, elves, and gnomes. While half-orcs are rare, they are not unheard of in this region and they are not treated much differently from those of other races.
It is strongly encouraged that all players download the players guide for the Reign of Winter.

Hey brvheart, just a few questions, you said
20 point buy
10 min stat before racial 18 max after racial
I assume everything is per your standard game:
B) Classes and weapons are restricted to European only.C) Classes are Core Only with some noncore on a case by case basis.
D) Sources: Core Rules, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic after 5th level on DM approval on a case by case basis only.
E) Races per Core rules only or other approved campaign races.
Does the "I usually have starting gold at level one at 150 gp" still apply?
And finally, How are we doing traits? two traits, one from AP?

brvheart |

We will be using a few more sources on this one. So far:
People of the North
People of the Sands
Taldar
Inner Sea World Guide
Still working on sources. Sounds good on traits although the one from the AP is optional.

brvheart |

Those are find Tomato. I have no issues with the UC, it is some of the stuff from UM I need to ok on a case by case. I will lift the after 5th level as that was done when I first got the books so I had some time to get more familiar with them.

Autumn Ice wizard
Tomato cleric
Robert ranger or rogue not set yet
Evanderiel paladin/sorceror
We may have one more, not sure yet.

brvheart |

I can't guarantee a mount and you are from a small town just note that.

brvheart |

Ok, we have our group of five and the rules and sources are posted. Take a day or two to create your characters please.

brvheart |

Survival would be a
very good skill to have, as would Stealth and Use Magic
Device. Characters will also be traveling to new lands
during the campaign, so Diplomacy, Linguistics, and
Knowledge (local) may be useful in dealing with natives
and new surroundings. Being able to survive in cold terrain
is a must, but the adventures will also take characters into
forest, mountain, and urban environments as well.
For some characters, language slots are a precious
commodity (especially at the beginning of their careers),
but it would be helpful for a party of adventurers in this
campaign if at least one member of the group selected
Hallit or Skald as one of her starting languages.

I think you guys are going to need to post in recruitment before you can post in game play. Balthomere, you need to post up your character. Look at Caan and Seamus for reference.

brvheart |

So is the post in recruitment insufficient? I'm trying to keep things condensed a bit.
.
You need to actually edit your profile and the more information you can put in there the better. More is better in this case. Follow the link I left for formatting and us Seamus as an example of how it should look.

Good start Paletress! Now to add all of your feats, stats, equipment, etc. Everything that would be on your character sheet.

brvheart |

Very good Paletress except for one thing. Your characters are from Taldar and it is the middle of summer. None of you would have any reason to have any winter gear as of yet so save your GP. Nor would much of it be available down here. Not to worry, the authors have accounted for it. Just save some gold:)

brvheart |

When you post your attack post your damage also. If it is a threat, edit the post to add your confirmation attack and additional damage. I will apply it if it confirms. Here is a very useful link for PBP gaming!

You can get a light crossbow and bolts at the armory. It is not guarded and is there to defend the village. As far as a horse, cart or wagon I think the consensus was you might end up off road in snow besides at least two are out of money.
