Seamus Passeri |
In game play, after Seamus asked Sophia is she had any war horses, (you said no) he offered her 85 gp for the bay horse they had been using and a used saddle, bridle and saddlebags.
Edit: then Brocken said we might not want horses, that's when I started asking for someone to make a decision, since no one posted anything I decided to continue buying the horse.

brvheart |

Sophia is used to royal couriers. "You see another stable around perhaps? These are the finest leathers. For you, I have a special deal, 110 GP!"

Seamus Passeri |
Seamus looks at Sophia, "Now your just being mean, we did what you asked us to do, we went and saved the Lady. 85 gp was fair, 90 was exorbitant 100 almost extortion, If the price is more than 100 gp, I will ride the nag that I rode back with the lady, maybe some one else will pay your fees."

Seamus Passeri |
I just realized we are playing in 'discussion' oh well, at least it's not roll20
Seamus smiles at Brocken, "Well if Sophia doesn't want to sell Bill and you are walking maybe I should plan on riding the nag, either way I would like to leave this morning, the sooner the better. Do you know if they have figured out the cloak yet?"

Good idea. Beollimandus does not have any skill points in 'Perception' or 'Survival', so he defaults to all the trackers/scouts/trap-sensors but will be directly behind them (or to the outside of them still at the front of the party, if possible).

I am going out of town on Thursday for as long as eight days. I am not sure what my online access will be up there.

Sparhawk. |

Just roll a d100 highest wins.
Personally I think Paletress should probably wear it if it grants AC. Ideally Autumn should never be in a place to get attacked, and Paletress should always be. Though with 3 fighters it won't be as much as before. The biggest realized benefit will be endure elements and of us Seamus and Paletress are most likely to need that (I think me Autumn and Brock have it already)

![]() |

Since my character is a front of the line guy, I could also see him using the cloak. Also, being a new player I have no magic items but also understand there may be a pecking order I need to queue through first. Either way, I'll roll too...
the robe: 1d100 ⇒ 53

Seamus Passeri |
aaawwwww, beat by the first roll,
@ Beollimandus, we don't have a lot yet Sparhawk has a compound longbow +1 str. that he probably would give you.
here is a list of what we have. sans the cloak and the stuff we just found:
Armor and weapons:
Cold Iron Longsword: Paletress
Breastplate: Paletress
masterwork longsword: Sparhawk
a masterwork chain shirt: seamus
a composite longbow (+1 Str) with 20 arrows; Sparhawk
+ 1 short sword: Autumn
a masterwork dagger: seamus
Misc. items:
mwk thieves' tools: Seamus
spell book (contains alarm, chill touch, expeditious retreat. feather fall, identify, locate object, and ray of enfeeblement) Autumn
axe, shovel and hammer
trunk @ 2
strongbox
consumables:
10 flasks of alchemist fire
2 vials of oil of magic weapon
2 vials of greenblood oil (poison)
3 scrolls lesser animate dead
scroll of endure elements
2 scrolls of magic weapon
scroll of unseen servant
Please everyone help yourself to the consumables and I will take them off my list.

I could use a vail of magic weapon. I think the greenblood oil should be "for the party" since it feels like an item usable to accomplish a mission or objective rather than an in battle item.
Also I could use a one-handed slashing weapon to compliment the heavy shield I can't use with my two-handed great sword.

brvheart |

Unless Brocken is interested, so far Paletress has the highest roll.

A question about the GM not letting me attack while on my horse. I reread the cavalier feature and it specifically says that the steed I own is battle ready ("A cavalier gains the service of a loyal and trusty steed to carry him into battle...The mount is always considered combat trained and begins play with Light Armor Proficiency as a bonus feat."). Why is it that I am not allowed to fight on a horse? This seems to nurf the whole point of the character build.

Brocken |

I am still looking for a post in wich he said you can´t.
There can be a few reasons why you can not, for example small room, but in the open it is fine. AM well consider this, Battle on ice might be difficult, as Horse and rider can have bad effects. See the last battle of the deutschritter.
Apart if you dismount and tie it to a tree, it is quite hard for it to attack.

brvheart |

Your horse is battle ready, the rest are not. Most of the time you can attack from your horse. It just is not your init yet. If there is some confusion, sorry.

![]() |

I remember my confusion coming from the skeleton battle. For whatever reason, I was under the impression that I was not allowed to enter battle on my horse. Either way, the confusion has been clarified. Please ignore my earlier comment about dismounting my horse. Beollimandus simply will grab his greatsword while still riding his horse. Since my horse can anticipate my moves, he will help counter balance any battle movement that will come from my two-handed swinging as I attempt to use my dexterity to avoid the slam attacks.

brvheart |

You are all close enough at 1980 XP and are where you should be so the four of you can level up. I am not sure where Brocken is at this point. I am guessing about half way.

Brocken |

Brocken feels his devotion to desna strengthen and her trust in him expand
HP: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11
Skills: +1 Sense Motive & +1 Diplomacy
As soon as he can pray again for spells he adds one lv1 spell to his list of spells per day.

Paletress, the Laughing Blade |

Got a roll of 7 offline, but I'll do the roll here...
Fighter Hit Die: 1d10 ⇒ 4
Fffff...
Tuck that die roller RIGHT into bed...
Skills: Perception +1, Intimidate to +6 with cloak, +1 Survival
Feat(Fighter bonus): Cleave
Going to level as Mobile Fighter.

Sparhawk. |

I will get it done today, but just FYI I am on my Christmas vacation so unlike at work I have less chances to check game. Will try to maintain at least 1/day but wanted to let you know. Bot me if needed.

brvheart |

Thanks Brocken and Sparhawk:) One to go! Let's move on in the meantime.
Update: I just downloaded the pdf for the Northlands Saga Complete. Now to read it over to make sure I can incorporate it and how I am going to do it!

Seamus Passeri |
course ya could just run it separate, meet Valda she was created for a gestalt game that I decided not to play in, she would drop one class or the other, depending on team needs, just sayin'
