Yeah, I'll disable device it.

My computer fan is not working properly; I've ordered a new one but it's coming from Italy (!??) and will take about a week. Until then my posting will be a bit patchy; feel free to bot me when necessary

Anyone else's campaign tab stopped alerting you of new posts?

Yeah, it's a Paizo-wide glitch.

Mine still works, but several people in other games I'm in have complained about it, so it has affected a lot of people.

Yeah it took a couple days for the software engineers to come up with and implement a fix.

The Spheres of Might playtest is out and looking good! There are many goodies suiting any playstyle, including (finally) a talent to properly dual-wield pistols.

I've skimmed it and REALLY like how it's looking. I foresee a lot of fun when the final product comes out.

Are we waiting for something in particular, gameplay-wise? Haven't been any posts in a few days.

Was kinda waiting for the others to respond to Az's nervousness, but rather than wait I went ahead and posted my stealth check to move us forward.

I've been busy with a few things but am mainly waiting for the prison group to figure out what to do about Azaghal's stealthiness concern.

EDIT: Just saw Azaghal's post. I'll have an update up by the end of the day.

@Brig Team: Not exactly my business, but are you sure that you want to blatantly attack ten guards? If the alarm is sounded, you'll have all of the fortress on your tail.

Actually have an idea for this. First round I activate silence while you two shoot. I'm not really going to be hampered I have visual and tactile manifestations but no somatic element to my magic.

It'll gives us a while before anyone can sound an alarm. As soon as the way is cLear to, Misele busts the lock and we set 50 people loose. The mayhem should be all the distraction we need to get the gates open

Female Human Technician 3 | HP 22/22 | AC 20, T 13, FF 17 | Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +3 | CMB +2, CMD 17 | Perc +6 | Init +3 | Gadgets 4/4 | Spell Points 5/5 | 2 Formula

Silence is good, but I think my plan would be to set fire to the stables once we get the prisoners out. It should keep enough of the fortress on fire fighter duty while we get the Sea Gates open.

I'm not sure throwing fifty prisoners out as a distraction would be a good move. And I meant that in terms of alignment.

True, the idea wasn't realy to throw them to the wolves, more that the knowledge they were free would give the guards other things to worry about, but the fire is definitely a good next step.

I was gonna suggest setting fire to the stables to get them out. I mean either the guards will let them out to save them or they will overpower the guards to get out...Either way chaos and confusion.

Even if they do overpower the guards that would probably still result in some of them dying, either from getting killed directly or by being knocked unconscious and unable to escape the fire. Is that something we're ok with?

Female Human Oracle (Occult/Haunted) 3 |HP: 18/18 | AC:15, T 12, FF 13 | Fort: +0 Ref:+2 Will:+5 |CMB +2, CMD 14 | Init+2 | Perc +6 | Spell points: 9/9

A few of them dying trying to get free is better than the fate they had in store before. We're weighing the wellbeing of a small group against something affecting the fate of a nation.

I suppose that's true. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

This kind of dilemma is exactly what the Zeitgeist AP is about. XD It's very philosophy-heavy. Interestingly enough, though, this particular scenario wasn't considered by the writer. There's no map of the brig up because the Book didn't include one. If you're pretty much set on staging a mass jailbreak, I'll find something appropriate and put it up by the end of today. XD

Female Human Oracle (Occult/Haunted) 3 |HP: 18/18 | AC:15, T 12, FF 13 | Fort: +0 Ref:+2 Will:+5 |CMB +2, CMD 14 | Init+2 | Perc +6 | Spell points: 9/9

It's the one distraction guaranteed to take attention away from the light house. As far as they'll be concerned the prison break IS the objective. The Bane offensive.

Female Human (Risuri) Csc 2 / Mkn 1 | HP 0/27 | AC: 18, T: 18, FF: 14 (19/19/15)| Fort: +5, Ref: +6 (+8), Will: +3 | BAB: +3, CMB: +2, CMD: 16, M.Attack +9 (1d6+5) | Init: +4 (+6) | Perception: +6 | M.Focus | SP 3/5

Or there could be a diversion pileup. A fire to get the guards out of the brig. A mass evasion to add on to the chaos. And then the army attacks.
And after all, they're just Danorans once we open the door, it will be their choice to hide, flee or fight. Morally, you'd only be giving them agency.
Finally, the tiefling is likely Jierre, keep an eye on him.

To clarify Alice's last point, there are 12 tiefling prisoners. The Danoran soldier, however, is a human.

Female Human (Risuri) Csc 2 / Mkn 1 | HP 0/27 | AC: 18, T: 18, FF: 14 (19/19/15)| Fort: +5, Ref: +6 (+8), Will: +3 | BAB: +3, CMB: +2, CMD: 16, M.Attack +9 (1d6+5) | Init: +4 (+6) | Perception: +6 | M.Focus | SP 3/5

Are the lighthouse windows open or must we break the glass to enter?

You'll need to break the glass to enter.

Female Human (Risuri) Csc 2 / Mkn 1 | HP 0/27 | AC: 18, T: 18, FF: 14 (19/19/15)| Fort: +5, Ref: +6 (+8), Will: +3 | BAB: +3, CMB: +2, CMD: 16, M.Attack +9 (1d6+5) | Init: +4 (+6) | Perception: +6 | M.Focus | SP 3/5

If someone could break the glass, I'll dive inside and try to poke holes in the enemy, or possibly intimidate him into silence.

@Jebediah: casting silence on an unwilling target allows a saving throw. I've assumed that you've chosen to minimize risk and either cast in on Alice or a point in space. Nice tactic, by the way: all of his spells have Verbal components.

Female Human Oracle (Occult/Haunted) 3 |HP: 18/18 | AC:15, T 12, FF 13 | Fort: +0 Ref:+2 Will:+5 |CMB +2, CMD 14 | Init+2 | Perc +6 | Spell points: 9/9

Not only that I love the impact of 1. Intimidate. 2. Emphasize that there's no calling for help.

Just as a reminder, there are editable maps in the campaign header. If you're unsure of positioning or terrain, feel free to refer to them. XD

Where do we need to get to on the lighthouse map? If it's somewhere nearby, I'd be inclined to let the pseudodragon go; since it can't talk theres probably a limit to what kind of alarm it can raise and if it does we should be able to barricade ourselves in, finish our job then retreat. What do you guys think?

Also please, someone keep guard on the caster

Bottom floor, I think. That's where the mechanism that controls the chain is.

Male Professional Dosser 14/Rules Lawyer6

OK, but can it get out or contact anyone?

I'll keep guard on the caster; the silence is on you and you are both better in combat.

@Lighthouse Group: now that one of you is within sight of the gate controls, I can tell you that it's a Standard Action to activate them. It'll take some time for them to open completely, though, and the process is bound to be noisy.

@Prison Group: Not to get meta or anything, but I'd suggest you find a way to rejoin your allies ASAP. After all, once the gate controls are activated, enemies will be swarming the lighthouse, and things could get very messy.

@Everyone: Hopefully you're having as much fun as I am. You've made my job rather complicated (not that I'm complaining), but if you make it through this alive, the next part of your mission will likely be slightly easier.

I'm enjoying this tremendously!

Btw, has the guard noticed me? From the map, I'm not too sure whether there's some kind of wall/ledge or not.

Yes, the guard has noticed you. Good thing you still have silence for another moment. ;-)
