Sgt. Drakus tightened his grip on his bardiche as the grey knight drew blood, but didn't interfere. Irritating as it was, her superior rank was declared by the queen; and he just didn't have the skill to distract her.
He heaved a quiet sigh of relief when Gregor and Donagar stepped forward to handle it. Gregor's crack rankled though; as if being declared rebels would have been better.

Startled, it takes a moment for Drakus to catch on to Nik'o's tactics.
He then swings into line, mimicing the same arrogant strut the Maidens have.

Gregor shakes his head 'no' at the idea of following the Gray Maidens. They may be just as violent with others, but he can't follow them and oppose their actions every step of the way. It could be seen as meddlesome, and besides they were investigating a 'possible' cure, which should be their first priority.

Marra stands with Gregor, remembering her near folly at the 'execution'. As the Gray Maiden and her retinue continue down the line, the crowd quivers, a particularly sickly looking young man bolts, and the Gray Maiden takes off after him.

Fuming, Drakus stands at attention waiting for Donagar to be done socializing.
"Donagar! Would you hurry it up! Watching this Grey Maiden sow stomp the city's morale into the latrine is making me sick!" Drakus yells in a most scathing manner.
And to Gregor Ward he says in a quieter tone; "And don't you start with me Ward. You heard the Queen's order; the Grey Maidens outrank everyone in the city now. We aren't gonna do a lick of good in a dungeon locked up on a treason beef."

I must admit I'm completely confused... Why are we here in the first place? Isn't it to figure out if this is a real solution for the plague? If so, why are we not trying to get in?

We are here to investigate the 'cure' she is selling. The Grey Maidens just happened to be here 'collecting' the sick. If we follow the Maidens, who have ultimate authority, we would conflict with them, and also walk away from the shop we are supposed to be investigating. We haven't tried to get in yet, because we just haven't acted, due to the Grey Maiden distraction.

Gregor looks at Drakus, confused by his statement, "I am aware of their 'authority', it is why I did my best to distract her from her intent to kill the woman. If I had acted any more insubordinate it could have led to a scuffle. One that I'm certain Field Marshal Kroft would be none too pleased to hear about." He turns toward the building and the crowd outside of it.

"Pardon me good citizens! I know you have been waiting to enter and purchase the wares advertised as a cure. If you permit us to go ahead of you we would test the veracity of the cure in hopes that the city and the merchant could reach an agreement to distribute it city wide for all to fight the illness. May we conduct our business before you, in the chance of aiding all of you?" If the crowd allows the group to cut in front of them, he will enter the building, acting quite the member of the guard and looking as official as possible.

The citizens, hearing Gregor's speech, and many of them recognizing one of the heroes of the city part with no issue, giving simple access to the shop.

Entering the Perfumery...A menagerie of heady scents twists throughout the cramped but stylish perfumery. A dizzying assortment of bottles—from gaudy ceramic containers to graceful crystalline vials—lines a variety of lace- and ribbon-strewn tables, shelves, racks, and an eye-catching display in the wide front window. Across from the front door’s orchid-tinted glass panes runs a long counter, stacked high with hundreds of simple clay phials bearing round, magenta stoppers. Behind the counter, violet flourishes swoop across a sign reading, “Lavender’s Luxuriant Liniment: Either You’ve Got It, or You’ve Had It. The shop has a line of patrons out the door, a man stands to the side looking at perfumes, while Vendra greets each new customer from behind the shop counter, leaving the actual sales to two pretty young shop girls. Two large, well-dressed men with purple cravats discreetly hold saps and keep their eyes on the shop’s patrons”

Vendra the shopkeeper looks to the party barging into the the Perfumery, as the two guards move to stop you from entering, they then hesitate as they notice how many of you there are. Several townsfolk at the entrance to the building grumble loudly at the entrance of the companions.

"Now, Now, we must all wait our turns for your Lavender's Luxurious Linament, there's plenty for all! Please step to the back of the line, and then I can help you."

I can't remember, are Drakus or Gregor still dressed as guards?"

Unless stated otherwise, which is not likely to happen often, Gregor wears his uniform proudly. Pressed and polished.

Gregor takes in his surroundings before speaking, "No, Ma'am, we are not customers. We are here to speak with the proprietor of this shop and these wares, which I believe to be you. If we can authenticte the veracity of the healing claims, perhaps we can reach an agreement between you and the city to produce in larger quantities." He doesn't face the woman as he speaks, instead he gives a cursory glance through the shop.

Gregor flashes the dwarf an irritated look, before responding to Nik'o "By tonight, more lives may be lost to this thing going around. The sooner we can examine the product and its effects, the sooner we may be able to work out a deal to benefit all."

Turning to Lavender, "Might we test both some of the product from the shelf, and retreat to your workshop to test a fresh batch? That will allow us to inform our superiors with certainty that it is a contract worth adopting? Otherwise, without testing it, we may have to halt the sell of it until we can, wasting our time, your time, and damaging both your business and reputation." He finishes, a stern look on his face implying that they can do it now the nice way, or things will become real hard for her.
