“Don’t have any arrows and I doubt throwing my daggers at it will do much if the other undead is anything to go by”
Telepathically to Chip'r : “Chip'r can you keep an eye out for us? Don’t want those Derro’s to sneak up on us. ”
For combat Aliandara will try and be a flanking partner and check if she is able to deal sneak attack damage to the thing
Aliandara, hoping that they are taking it by surprise tumbles past the monster and stabs at it, leaving space open for other to get at it
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13
Attack roll: 1d20 + 7
Confirm roll: 1d20 + 7Rapier Damage: 1d6 + 1
Sneak Attack Damage: 2d6Crit Damage: 1d6 + 1
There it is...the thing I HATE about the current crit system...you rolled minimum damage almost...for a CRITICAL!!! My house rule is typically the crit will do a minimum of max normal damage. so your normal damage is 1d6+1 (aka 7 damage min. for a crit.)
You had rolled the sneak attack damage, that's why I thought you were waiting on the flank, it has already gone by smashing through the door, thus it's not flat-footed.
Aliandara's attack hits what would be a vital organ, but the spongy flesh doesn't seem to have been fully affected. Marra's bolt does the same, however Donagar's axe cleaves off a large chunk of flesh as a thick green ichor seeps from the golem. Panish's Attack with his heavy longsword had also done considerable damage. The golem swings its arms at the two that hit it in melee. Powerful swings that are easily avoided.
Pretty short work of this golem with 3 criticals in the first round...wow.
Donagar 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Aliandara 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Drakus Up...then probably golem down..heh

Sgt. Drakus |

Sgt. Drakus finally brings the bardiche around and down on the things head (hopefully).
*BARDICHE, M.W. attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 for a possible 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 slashing damage.

Xaaon of Korvosa |

Stiches have been popped and gore oozes from the abominable construct.
Top of round 2:
Order
E2 Aliandara 26 flanking
B1 Marra 22 15 feet away
DE3 Donagar 18 on the table
E4 Panish 16 flanking
E3 Golem 15 directly in front of the splintered door. see original map.
DE4 Drakus 3 10 feet away, using reach.
I messed up, revised the order chart with locations per the existing room map.

Sgt. Drakus |

Round 2
Sgt. Drakus puts everything he has into an overhead chop. "Heeyah!"
*BARDICHE, M.W. power attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 1 = 8 to hit.
..Confirm fumble? 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 1 = 20
For a possible 1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11 slashing damage.

DM X |

No problem Panish, I have been busy with a New
Project with my kids, went to cover Kingdom Con in San Diego this weekend. Then I had to deal with a kid with a fever, he's back to normal today. All the audio/video editing is now done, just have to post them to the blog then we're golden. But back to the game!!!

DM X |

Don't worry about fumbles, in my home games, fumbles just provoke an AoO...Iterative attacks have to fumble both (not TWF, can still fmble a single). But don't worry about it in PbP. It's just an automatic miss.
The party converges on the abomination, Drakus, attacks, but misses, setting up a series of strikes from the rest of the party, acting as a well-oiled machine, Aliandara and Panish strike it back and forth as Donagar steps in to swing his mighty axe, splitting it down the sternum. Marra releases her bolt catching it in the spine, the foul thing staggers, then falls apart, the magic undone. You note that the arms bear similar tattooes to the legs swinging around on Panish's backside.

Sgt. Drakus |

Sgt. Drakus, somewhat embarrassed by his performance, snorts in disgust as he straightens up and grounds his bardiche.
"Say, with those arms, how much of the guy have we recovered now?"

Donagar |

"Perhaps enough pieces tah be sure thar are no more peices tah be found tha Otugh may ave eaten any o tha other parts....."
Begins to try to figure how to put the arms into Panish's backpack....
"Yer gonna need a new backpack Panish hope it don't cost yah an arm an a leg."

Donagar |

"Three more o them little Duerro f!@#ers, comin in tha door, We got tah get somethin workin them over."
Donagar steps up to intercept them if he can...
"I am movin tah get in tha way."
Attack (when possible)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Sgt. Drakus |

Sgt. Drakus snarls and brings the bardiche around to the first Derro he can reach.
*BARDICHE, M.W. attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 for a possible 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 slashing damage.

DM X |

I think things are a bit undefined right now. Can you please re-state initiative order and current turn?
Sure. We'll continue the round...since no one dropped their guard.
Aliandara 26
Marra 22
Drakus 22 (reset to [20+2dex] since his last attack was not needed)
Donagar 18
Panish 16
Derro 8
Note: Only Donagar can see currently.

Marra "The Phoenix" Warblade |

Panish feel free to Play Aliandara for the rest of this adventure as well. We'll figure out what to do with her after that.
Marra will use detect evil this round. The way I see it, if you detect an aura, you should be able to know where that aura is to shoot, takes two rounds to detect an aura, after that I don't see any reason not to allow that as a use.

DM X |

There's a bit of confusion at first, as everything goes dark, Panish and Drakus swing at the air, Aliandara instinctively heads for the corner, which Chir'rrp flies toward the derro, its tail held in an aggressive position. Marra begins to chant under her breath. Donagar surges forward, and with a heavy blow of his axe, cuts into one of them. A cacophonous screech fills the air

"Do tha again ye lil f*$+er an mah flail is goin down yer throat!"
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Panish Valimer |

"Where? Where are the little creeps?" Trying to orient himself against how he remembers the layout before the lights went out Panish pushes forward with his shield a few steps, hoping to walk into an enemy. His longsword is steady at the ready to strike back at a foe.

DM X |

Chirrip flies to Panish telling him about where they are, as Donagar cuts the previously injured derro down. The other two fall back a step or two, and fire their crossbows again. On of the bolts strikes Donagar on the hand, a burning sensation flows through it (roll FORT)
