Little History, Since the beginning of this AP, I'm the only one left. I started as a player; then the GM dropped, I love my character so much that I picked up and ran the game from there. I don't do any railroading with her, though I do use her to fill in some story gaps occasionally.
This party started about midway through the AP and has been stable since (minus Panish's wife having to drop because of her thesis.)

Oh you could also have been friends with one of the other characters, perhaps with Marra, since she had been a member of the dark side of the city for many of her years, from age 5 to 15 under the thumb of Gaedren Lamm.
I kinda like like the sound of black jack's replacement (she's a little robin hoodish, and likes seeing rich selfish snobs have there stuff stolen, especial if the snobs use tax money on themselves)
And the "Twin Tails" persona wears an all black outfit with hood (with holes for her twin pony tails to stick out, with bells attached (but no ringer though)), and a simple black face mask made of cloth.
She is is maxing her Social skills, thief skills (disable, sleight), Stealth, Perception, and Acrobatics.
How is HP handled per level,

I think I'll go with armour expert trait (reduce the ACP)
First level feat: addition traits (Charming and Magical talent (ghost sound))

It is considered medium armor. Part of the Pathfinder changes. To prevent Mithril Full Plate barbarians, without taking the proficiency tax. It counts as light for qualification purposes of feats/class abilities. But you take the penalties if you're not proficient in it.
So if you have medium armor proficiency, you can wear it and still be able to use abilities that require you to be wearing light armor.
So they fixed that,
Ok so if I wanted Mithral breastplate, I either take the feat or take a class that gives medium armour. Great now I'm thinking of using the urban barbarian to give me Kaio-Ken* for the martial artist persona, Pai.

But they also gave Medium armor back to rangers, so there was some push/pull. Plus increasing the AC of all heavy armor.

I was thinking of having her disguise herself as a nun (as Kuniochi in the past disguised themselves as Miko) and bluff that she is to bless the poor soul before hanging. She quickly stuns the executioner, rips off her disguise reliving herself as "Twin Tails", cuts the "traitor" down and then escapes with her.
Or would you prefer something else?
I was thinking Black Jack met you later in life, perhaps catching you during a robbery, as he is a hero of the people, perhaps you fought a duel of honor and lost due to his skill (he's much higher level than you), thus he took you in to set you on the straight and narrow.
(Because the next time he caught you stealing from the people...) Now after the recent happenings, he realizes Black Jack needs to return.
Perhaps you WE'RE training to be a ninja, or had just become a ninja when your clan was wiped out (they're not exactly common in Varisia obviously). I just don't see a clan operating in Korvosa currently. I mean I guess there could be...I'd have to think about it.
Well, what about a ninja clan that followed the Kaijitsu family over the crown of the world, but got separated from the family and the rest of the group. They are passing the arts down generation to generation, but there numbers are also dwindling. They family is willing to teach any that they adopt into the family to keep the arts alive.
The family was helped out by Black Jack a few times and the family returned the favor with information that would have been hard to come by and or by setting up some things in advance for Black Jack's more daring accomplishments.
Black Jack found Mai in the streets orphaned. He knew a family that supported him from the shadows and would be a good family for her. He also saw this as a chance for a successor to be made. Since then Mai has been imitating him, and wanting to be a hero for the people and not the rich snobs in power.
He could also be using the execution event to have "Twin Tails" make an appearance and get a real taste of the job, she is to inherit.

Looks pretty good, but let's have you watching the execution with Blackjack, since it's written as a way to introduce Blackjack in action.
