Thanks for botting me. I didn't relapse, but I did have unexpected family stuff come up. Hopefully that will be the last of these complications for a while. I could really use a break.

It looks like the darkness ended when the Darkmantle died? I want to make sure if we can see or not.

While I could leave both instances active for another 47 rounds, I've decided that when the creatures died, their bodies covered the pebbles that they were holding, suppressing the effect.

Around the corner comes a host of oversized rats, directed by a haggard, and blurry looking dwarf.
The dwarf screams at Kosz as he orders his rats to attack.
"I'm not going back! Never! You can't take me!"
Kosz swings at the first rat that moves to attack him, leaving the rat as a smear with his heavy swing. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
A second rat bites at Kosz, but merely gets a mouth full of leather boot. Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
A third rat bites at Kosz through the opening left by his dead kin. Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Confirmation: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Kosz Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Kosz -1hp, Succeeded Fort save.

Max, your round 3 was retreating to stand between Horgus and Aravashnial since the darkness was still in effect and the last darkmantle was still alive. Your round 4, which I had missed with my earlier post, was firing at the rats. So that would make your most recent post a round 5. Just so I have it clear, you're reloading as your move action, and then firing if the dwarf is either already in sight by then(since he's got one action before round 5 begins) or moves into view. Is that correct?

Kosz smashes another rat to death and takes a step back.
Aravashnial hurls an orb of acid at the last remaining rat. The glob splashes on top of the rat, burning into its skin. Blindness: 1d100 ⇒ 66 Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Rex re-draws his pistol and moves forward.
The final rat moves forward and bites at Tina, but she deftly sidesteps the attempt. Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
The crazed dwarf steps out of the passage, yelling "You're all alike! I just wanted to do my research alone! But you've ruined it again!" as he fires off a couple magical bolts at Kosz. They hit the knight square in the chest and send him crumpling to the ground!Damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 = 7
Kosz is now Dying.
