The Worldwound tore reality apart at the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens, murdering the nation of Sarkoris and unleashing a ravenous demonic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of several other nations of knights, barbarians, and heroes stemmed the demon army and contained it within lost Sarkoris, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as wardstones that stand sentinel along the Worldwound's border, barely manages to contain the demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders' greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Deskari, the demon lord of the Locust Host, from swallowing the world?
Mekel jumps back a little as Dorotea and Nossac leap into action. Belatedly he notices the snake at Dorotea's feet.
Afraid of hitting her he drops his bow, draws his sword, steps forward and strikes.
attack:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
His sword clangs down where the snake was
If I was just a split second faster, like Dorotea and Nossac...

Stay down my friends, we will handle this
Thomas will take a 5 foot step forward, as a standard I will use touch of luck on Dorotea. Dorotea any time in the next round you have to roll a D20, roll twice and take the higher of the 2 dice.
As a move action I will draw my starknife just in case the snake decides to move around.
longsword:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20confirm:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6damage:1d8 ⇒ 3
Thomas waits for the snake to recover after striking. When next it does he lashes down with his longsword. A good idea, but his aim is slightly off, and a strike that should have decapitated the snake only cuts it.

Remembering the sight of all of his friends
With the strength of Men and the will of the gods, we will push them back. Their evil must be pushed back. That is why Desna sought fit to gift me with some minor powers that can be used many times. That was I can save my mightiest gifts for those who deserve them.
I know that Erastil will watch over us through this rough time. As soon as we return to the surface, we can fight to rid the demons from our city. Until then, lets get out of these tunnels.
Nossac will search the body of the snake and the rubble.
Nothing is found on the snake or within the rocks, and the path continues onward for some distance.
"I certainly hope they are okay up there....." says Anevia.
"Stop with all the worrying! We are the ones we should be concerned about! We're trapped below the earth with hardly any supplies! On top of that we have two handy capped people who have nothing to contribute to our well being!" shouts Horgus in response to all the worry. Needless to say this causes problems with Anevia and Aravashnial, but for the sake of not posting to much profanity, I won't post what they are shouting about his rear end.
Disturbed by the discussions Mekel looks for some comfort from the Abadarian teachings, but comes up blank. The teachings of Abadar are of strong walls and organised troops, not ramshackle refugees, fallen cities and dead dragons.
Wordlessly he leaves the bickering about Horgus's ... about Horgus, and moves to flank Dorotea.
perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
We'll have even more of a problem if you all don't stop bickering. We have no idea what is down here and we don't need to track any unwanted attention. If you don't like the idea of traveling with this group Horgus, feel free to wander off on your own.
Nossac glares at him.
Just know that your chances at survival would probably be best served staying with us and keeping your tone low.

They will endure, as we must. Horgus everyone has something to contribute, some offer a sword and shield, other offer kinda words and a pretty face, some even offer both.
Upon realizing he said that last part outloud Thomas blushes slightly and looks for a distraction, He will search the general area of the room before we leave.
Should I grab the snake? There's meat on it, and the leather can be useful. I'd have to skin it, butcher it, find something to burn to cook it...
No. At this point we need to move on. Thirst is going to take us down long before hunger. Need to find some water soon.
Mekel nods at Dorotea
"Are you taking the lead again?" ready to move on
Looks like this way leads back to where we came. So I suppose the only way to the exit must be this way. I will make sure nothing comes from behind. Dorotea Please scout ahead.

GM:
Anevia, unless by "young girl" you mean really young, and then that is just creepy so never mind. I should also probably ask if she is attractive or not really?
I will follow behind Dorotea, Mekel would you mind staying close to our injured brethren?
I will recast light on my shield.
Ready, I assume our order is Dorotea, Thomas, Mekel, 3 NPC's, then Nossac correct?
Mekel bristles a little at the implication, then considers and nods to Thomas.
After doing so he quickly sketches this room on his makeshift map as well.
moving back to stand with the blind, the lame and the old.
Anevia stop for a second, and then shakes her head "I hear nothing either." The other two don't respond at all.
Your march for sometime, eventually you come to a small opening, a cave. A single sizable 20-foot-tall building remains in the center of this 30-foot-high cave, a bunker like structure with no windows and walls of worked stone blocks. A 10-foot-long caring of a hammer decorates the building's facade. The ruins of collapsed outbuildings stand to either side.

The symbol is Torag's, this must be one of his temples.
perception 15:
you can hear a buzzing sound coming from behind the temple, and its getting closer, fast!
"Torag's symbol - this could be one of his temples. There might be leftover supplies inside, or a source of water. Might even be a map. I think we should check it out."
Mekel speaks deferntially to Nossac.

Redrawing the starknife, Thomas moves in front of the NPC's to protect them.
[ooc]I'm not 100% sure where the three paths are in the room based on the battle map, but I will get between the NPC's and where Nossac hears the noise. [ooc]
there were Thomas, one going forward, one going back the way you came and the third took you too a alternative rout you could have taken after the fight with the spider.
To answer Mekel's question, a giant fly flies over the temple, and dives strait for the party!
combat:
Average initiative=18 if you roll higher you may go
shortbow:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17damage:1d6 ⇒ 3
Taking care to keep himself between the injured and the fly, Mekel aims, breathes out and empties his mind.
All there is, is the arrow and the target.
It is the easiest thing in the world for one to join the other.
