Andanan Sumna |

A brief moment of light and respite in a day otherwise damned by darkness... Andanan said softly, placing a rocky hand on Meria's shoulder in approval of her actions.
Actually, can we not wait an hour to restore a single HP? Andanan has Mage Armour for that time period and i'd value +4 AC much higher than a tiny amount of healing when we had a potion handy.
We should press on. Brother Dwarf, we don't have the time to treat your wounds in a mundane manner. We don't know how much time we have to get clear of the destruction...

GM_Eric |

You journey onward into the tunnels. The path continues to wind and slowly climb, another forty minutes pass before you notice the corridor beginning to open into a cavern again. Asura reports back a room containing several statues and something moving on the ceiling. A hint of light comes from a cavern beyond the first.

Baradesh Ironheart |

Baradesh moved into the cavern warily, keeping an eye on the ceiling as he moved in and trusting his Darkvision would help him spot any creature lurking up there. Still, he couldn't help but cast an eye to the statues in the cavern, to see if they were high quality. With a former Temple to Torag nearby it wasn't much of a stretch to imagine that these statues might be Dwarf work too.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Mia Rumsfield |

Mia carefully walks along the wall of the cavern, listening if anything other than the footsteps of herself and her companions could be heard.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Her little bird sitting on her shoulder, it's little head turning as they walked.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Mia Rumsfield |

Mia looks slightly surprised by Abdul's sudden reaction.
"What? I didn't see anything."

GM_Eric |

As the lights begin to illuminate the ceiling you see several large dark shapes moving along the ceiling. Mia's bird draw attention to a trio of stalactites that appear to be breathing and appear to be moving, ever so slowing deeper into the room, away from the light.

Mia Rumsfield |

"Tjip, what's......guys, look up. Those stalacites look weird, almost as if they're moving, away from our lights."

GM_Eric |

You enter the cavern and the three moving stalactites continue to moving round the ceiling. As you enter the room you see rows of statues lining both sides of the walls. Well carved and ornate, depicting crusaders of an earlier era. The statues are primarily human in size and form and their arms and armor show the Inheritor's symbols.

Baradesh Ironheart |

Baradesh glanced longingly at the statue of what seemed to be warriors of Iomadae. Human work they might be, but to be down here and forgotten they might stretch back as far as the first Crusade. But whatever was on the ceiling claimed his attention. He couldn't be staring at stone while he or an ally was attacked. "I dinnae much care for wee stalagmite like beasties," the Paladin grumbled, "Especially those that keep me from my past."
Glancing at the others, he added, do, "Do any of ye carry tourches or have more light magic? If we make enough it may drive yonder beasties away entirely, or at least stop them attacking at all." Baradesh, not surprisingly, didn't carry a torch as a habit.

GM_Eric |

Additional light would be needed to coral the stalactites. Either another spell or torches. If torches are used I need to know who is using them.
The creatures seem to continue to scuttle around the ceiling, avoiding your attempts at coraling them. They appear to also stay further away from Mia and Baradesh.

Mia Rumsfield |

Could they be scared of smaller folk? :P If only..
Mia holds her hands together. Faking a sneeze..
*Achoo......*. Pardon me."
Pardon me= cast dancing lights looking back to a point past the last one in line. Conjuring 3 small lights that would gain up with the lights of Meria as the group keeps moving.

GM_Eric |

Two globes of darkness spring up suddenly, canceling both sources of lights.

You hear scrabbling in darkness above you. (Andanan's turn)

GM_Eric |

You see one of the stalactites maneuvering above you. The other two are about 20ft further away and 30ft up.

Andanan Sumna |

There's one right above us... The others are still maneuvering into position he whispered. He slowly moved to directly underneath the closest of their stalkers and waited for it to launch its attack, a heavy, earthen fist clenched...
Andanan's rocky arm slammed into the stalactite with the full force of a several hundred pound body of stone behind it, the crystals and jagged edges of his limb adding a gashing effect to the blunt force trauma of the blow.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage (Bleed): 1d6 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (3) = 12

GM_Eric |

Anevia backs up between two of the statues, crouching down, bow drawn looking for something to shoot at. Horgus's eyes are darting every which way and you think he might bolt.
You hear more clawing at the roof of the cavern, sounding like its coming closer.
The second thing has maneuvered into position above Meria. The first one was over Abdul-Azim, but Andanan has jostled him out of the way to take that spot. The third one moved into position above Asura and drops
A large black shape, like a clawed tent drops out of the cloud of darkness towards Asura. Anevia looses an arrow.
Arrow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22, damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12, missing and falling to the floor.

Baradesh Ironheart |

"Since when do wee moving stalactites drop on people?" Baradesh shakes his head and glances up. "Meria, wee beastie above your head! Be ready!" With that the Dwarf Paladin readied his shield and axe and charged at the one closest, taking a swing with the heavy blade.
Charge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

GM_Eric |

Both Baradesh and Asura strike the creature on the ground that had attempted to drop on Asura. It looks grievously wounded. Up close it resembles a leathery drape, with small claws around its perimeter and appears able to draw itself into a variety of shapes and shift its coloring to match the surrounding rock.
Abdul misses.
Waiting on Mia and Meria for round 1

Mia Rumsfield |

Good one...it doesn't seem humanoid to me, so Mia can't cast anything on it.
"Is it down?", as she peeks carefully from behind Andanan's legs.
Move her own lights to the creature on the ceiling, opposite places to Meria's."

GM_Eric |

Stupid message boards... Meria's post wasn't showing up when I wrote mine.
Meria's ray hits the creature that's moving awkwardly along the ground; it collapses in place, ceasing to move.
Round 2
One of the creatures drops from the towards Andanan. Andanan can see a ringed mouth in the center of the creature as it drops over him. He readied punch tears through the creature's winglike membranes near the mouth. Its mouth opens and close, but no sound emerges.

Baradesh Ironheart |

Baradesh glanced over at Meria and the creature attempting to...engulf her head? Either way she was in trouble. The bulky Dwarf moved over to help, and carefully aiming above where Meria's head was, swung his axe in an arc.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

GM_Eric |

Baradesh's axes sweeps through creature, scoring a deep gash into the head of the creature, but not causing it to release its hold. The one that missed Andanan is suddenly engulfed in another globe of darkness. However the scrabbling of its claws as it tries to get away makes it easy for Abdul-Azaim to pinpoint its location.concealment, higher better: 1d20 ⇒ 4. Abdul's slash passes harmless through the globe of darkness.

GM_Eric |

I beleive we're at the top of the order, andanan is up, one creature is still alive, grappling Meria.

Andanan Sumna |

I'm on the forums every single day. Wasn't aware we were waiting on me. It would help to have a clear denotement of when a new round has begun.
Andanan moved to attack the remaining thing grabbing his friend Meria; but was fearful of striking her by accident which threw his confidence entirely.
