With Strange Aeons Even Death May Die

Game Master Synxol

We each dwell upon an island forged by our ignorance amidst the black seas of infinity. Should your feeble mind correlate the seemingly disassociated contents of your skull, thus affording you an opportunity to leave your island behind, terrifying vistas of reality will entomb you and you will never know peace.

It was only a matter of time...every species can smell its own extinction. The last ones left won't have a pretty time of it.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Sorry for the late post. Tried last night but was falling asleep.

Errata: Mana is 45/51. I guess I missed that on my last levelling.

Game master

lol no worries, I understand completely about that, as it has happened to me a number of times :)

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Right, deflection bonus goes from +1 to +2 for Argon, so AC is 34 vs. evil. Will update that in my status.

Game master

No worries, just thought all of you should know about that change, since on Sundays I play 3.5 d and d and sometimes I forget what changes :).

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

Sorry about the last posting on my part, I be slacking. Don't worry, I've already cuffed myself across the back of my head for it :P

Greetings all.

Poking my head up to say hi. Not sure where I'm at, but I'm looking at returning at some point.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Oh, hello good sir! You're welcome to come back any time. Things are moving, albeit a little slowly (fault of all of us).

How are you and your family?

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Just confirmed a nat 20 crit with another nat 20!

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Can you let me know how many times Argon hit?

Game master

Not counting the natural one you rolled you have hit your foe a number of times:

Forceful Strike force damage + bull rush: 10d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 1, 3, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4) = 261d20 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 27(Forceful Strike)

Three times this round I count on this round.

Feeling completely overwhelmed, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, which hopefully won't be a train.

Family is in tatters, but slowly pulling the tendrils together.

Thanks for asking kind sir.

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

Huzzah! You made it back to the board! Just remember to hug the walls when traveling through train tunnels :)

Glad everyone is slowly putting themselves back together as well as possible. My emotional center goes out to you and yours, (I'd say heart, but I haven't seen that withered lump of carbon for a while now :P )

Seriously though, we're here for ya dude :)

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Hey Ssilax, you need to roll 10d6 for outsiders! I think they probably are...

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

Thanks! Good catch :)

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

I figured you knew it but just forgot to change the 5 to a 10.

These guys are kind of different. Need a nat 20 to hit Argon, but (the leader at least) has a lot of hit points. I did 105 before any DR. I think my shield, at +3, bypasses DR probably.

In 67 words or less could someone give me a heads up on what's up?

I'm thinking I need a couple weeks to find some smiles, but perhaps I could hit the ground running around Valentines.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

In Sigil, got a lead on Dainoth. Going through the worst neighbourhood (the Hive Ward) to where he's supposed to be. Attacked by kids disguised as demons (or vice versa?).

There is a high-level map. Can email it to you if you like, but it only shows a building layout.

Donald Trump has not been spotted, yet.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

57 words, but I didn't count until after I posted!

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

How does that work: "Sneak attack for holy smite"?

I don't see anything in the spell that allows a sneak attack?

Game master

It was a sneak attack against a flat footed opponent, losing both eyes and onot having one eye left, makes it easier to sneak attack with a rogue or slayer.

To clarify Daxniss had a Bedlam boy move through her threatened square, she made her AoA and rolled the sneak attack damage.

"What we know now is that all sheet data after 25 July 2016 (The most recent backup since the automated backup failed) has been lost. The sheets are still present, however any edits made after that date are gone. For sheets created after the date, the sheet will still be present but blank."

If your sheets are on myth-weavers. And I think they all are.

:-(

I always encourage people to make backups, but then I haven't done it in a while :-(

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

f%@* nuggets!

i twas greeted by the sight of a blank sheet.

Game master

Niiicccccceeee. Just the news that I wanted.

Xthian Shadowcaster Conjurer / Gestalt Druid

I appear to be level 6.

Grrr....

So many times has reminded me to backup my sheet. Hopefully I have one somewhere.

Female Wyrmtouched Gestalt Unchained Rogue Sorcerer level 12

Same here, Ive most of my character changes in memory. Just have to spend some time fixing the problem, skill points are going to suck.

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

I've got a pretty good idea of what was what.

plus i have an older sheet before the gestalt to act as a rough guide line

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Yes, four levels and a gestalt transformation to recall... :-p

Game master

Yup and a number of NPC's as well.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Lol, I assume you meant 'tears', but I enjoyed imagining 'teats' anyhow.

Game master

Stupid phone, yes tears was the correct word

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

Is the statue crying tears of blood? I seem to remember that being mentioned a while back. Also, how many bonus build points did we get? Does anybody happen to remember. I've been dragging my feet a little on the reconstruction :P

Blame Bloodborne :) And my general laziness, lol

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

I won't remember the points, but I might be able to recall the additional racial traits Argon got and that will help. Plus we have these threads, and they are searchable.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Rebuilding my char sheet. These forums are full of stuff, you just have to find it.

Found this: wrote:

Alright here is the list of treasure :)

12,000gp Each in gold and gems ( 6000 in GP, 6000 In Gems)
A + 2 Flaming falcata
A + 2 Frost Rapier
A + 1 Silver quarterstaff
an amulet of Natural armor + 2
A bag of holding type 3

Argon took the falcata, of course. Did someone take the amulet? Argon has +1 natural armor naturally...

I have found other stuff I purchased:
+3 LC Bow, Adaptive
metamagic rods, (Both lesser), Reach, Silent
Efficient Quiver
Cloak of Resistance, +4

He can use the Silent while we're sneaking, or lend it to someone if they want.

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

And we had a total of 6 Racial (or Build) Points that we where given. 5 around level 6, and the last one a little while ago.

Ssilax is almost restored, I just have to fine tune equipment, and do spells.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

What does the map say about where we are? Is this room on the map and on our route? It supposedly says where we should go next.

Game master

You are in the room with two pillars and 4 tombs. Once I get to a PC I will update and email everyone the pic.

Took me far too long, but Wrathe is level 10.

Updated Sheet

I haven't read through the entire thread, so I might be missing something bit that happened to Wrathe while I was away.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Relevant posts from a few "pages" ago:

------------------------
Taylor nods and hands over a scroll case, inside is a map leading to the portal, another map leads from the portal to the complex, another map gives the layout of the building. Finally the last map holds how many guards in the building, patrolling the building and a list of the traps that are hidden, magical and mundane. [We are in the "leading to the portal" stage, I think. There are multiple portals so it's hard to be sure.]

Taylor also pulls out the bones of a dragon's right hand, old enough to have been a fossil, he says it is a true hand of glory from long ago. It is completely mundane but Taylor informs you that it is tied to the portal itself. It will activate at the portal for both sides, so it isn't a one way trip.

-----------------------

The maps that Taylor gave the group are very detailed, giving descriptions of the terrain, land marks, and the pathway leading up to the portal it self has a number of stalls and vendors. The Map leading up to the portal is in a rather rough section of the Hive Ward, and also gives possible gangs roving that section of the Hive. The Hive Ward leading up to the portal in the control of the Bedlam boys, demons inhabiting human bodies, have both of the advantages of their hosts and the very demonic nature of the demons themselves. [We did this, killed the Bedlam boys]

The Map leading past the portal shows an underground catacombs or perhaps a rather large Tomb, various types of hostile undead and rumors of a fallen angel leading a number of unsavory types of beings as well. Taylor's notes state that he was unable to confirm that rumor, but strange going on's in the Tomb are on the rise, more so then the norm. [We're in here now]

Taylor's map also notes that you will want to take the first right as soon as you reach the broken Diva Statue, marked with fresh blood, weeping from it's eyes, no one has kept a record as to how long the statue has been broken and weeping blood. Taylor's map notes that once you have taken the first right, that some keep watching everyone's back as there are statues that move. [We've done this. Luckily no statues attacked us.]

---------------------------------------

I saw a post in November asking for this:

"Spirit Pouch
Like a bag of holding and can actually hold material of as much as 2 cubic feet in volume or 20 pounds in weight, takes 1 minute of full concentration to open and a simple gesture to close."

Better late than never.

As a heads up I'm in high level talks with J about possibly bringing in another toon for awhile, and grabbing Wrathe once I make my save vs. ennui.

A couple posting conflicts coming up are:
- April 1-7th ish I will be out of town with no WiFi
- We put in for a teacher's exchange, and should know in the next month whether it's been accepted. If it goes live I might be in either the UK or Australia for a year. I will be able to post (likely I'll have silly amounts of time), but the start and end should be rocky.

As I zipped through leveling Wrathe again I collected the following bonuses:
+2 luck bonus to saves
+1 Favoured Skill bonus and HP bonus per level
17 Racial Points (11 initially, 5 bonus, 1 bonus)
Drow Hand Sign as a free language
Minor Contact
-1 Drawback (still can maintain the roleplaying aspect if you choose) from the initial 2
+2 traits from the initial 2

Hopefully that helps those who might have missed something as they repaired their sheets.

Did I miss anything?

I forgot:
Immunity to Charm/Dominate Person, and Command
Resistance (5)
Resistance (5)
Spirit Pouch
Grendel's Boon (+1 to two stats at random)
+2 to Knowledge Planes and Knowledge History
3 bonus feats

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Moving to UK or Oz would be very cool. I lived in London for 2.5 years, but I've never been to Oz.

Thanks for the character update. We should be keeping this in a special thread for 1) lost character sheets, 2) new characters (ours or someone else's) if we decide to let them have some or all of these.

I don't have the luck bonus to saves, and I don't recall where it's from. Did we all get it, or do you know where it came from?

3 Bonus feats - do you know where they came from? I see I have two of them, actually.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

Also, you probably recall this, but we have 2 background skill points per level, or 20 now.

All 4 of us got the +2 to luck bonus.

Trying to remember back, but it was based on full participation in posting across two periods of time (the posting dipped down and I was trying to get us back to daily posting), and I think you had missed a day, but you got it anyway cause you kicked butt thereafter with much posting energy.

Luck Bonus

2 of the feats were mentioned in the Discussion thread, and one came from a choice between two bonus traits or a feat instead (we opened up two traits or a feat thing).

This is all from my dusty memory, so it might not be accurate at all.

Cthulhu-Spawn DM/crazy person

both the UK or a trip for a year to Australia sound pretty cool :) that would be a really hard one to choose from. Maybe better weather in Australia :)

Silly question as I'm spending some coinage on Wrathe, rather than just spells for the first time in the game:

On one hand he has a Ring of Sustenance, which he can't take off without attuning himself to it.

On the other hand I have a Ring of Invisibility, which is only used now and then. What I'm wondering is if he also wore a Ring of Feather Fall on that same hand, if it would be the default enchantment, but would also be overridden each time he used his Ring of Invisibility.

Thoughts?

Game master

Or you add the feather fall to the ring of invisibly

Evil JB wrote:

I never thought of that!

Ring of Feather Falling 2,200gp

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/rings/ring-of-feather-falling/

Ring of Invisibility 20,000gp

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/rings/ring-of-invisibility/

How much to add them together?

I was looking at, "A character can only effectively wear two magic rings. A third magic ring doesn't work if the wearer is already wearing two magic rings", and figuring that the third ring donned would always be inert, but mixing them is much easier than the phalange dance I was envisioning.

Game master

So the ring of inv costs 20k. so if you were to add feather fall it would cost 2,200 *1.5 for a total cost of 3,300, so you would spend 23.300 in total for a ring of invisibly with feather fall. I do this all the time with rings in both Pathfinder and D and D 3.5 If you already have the ring of invis first you would need to shell out 3,300 or what for Dax to get a quiet two weeks and I can add the the effect to your ring, which would lower the cost.

Game master

sorry about this late of a post on Saturday, I got off from work at 3:00 am today and had to be back in at 11:00 am, rather tired today. On a side note looking over everyone's character sheets, I realized that Daxniss is the only person is who isn't NG.

Male Argon Gestalt Slayer-Cleric 12

By the way, it's good to have you back, Loki/Wrathe!
