Such amazing creatures, though I'm still reeling with the guide mentioning that a humpback whale's tongue weighs as much as a ton.
I r back and working on the unpacking and all the assorted personal administration that piles up when you flee from your homestead.
Short post out in short order.

To be clear, you are treating hits for 50% damage (as from magic weapons) as a 50% miss chance instead? I have no problem with that, but I'd like to know.
Argon Alma |
Just realized, I used a d8 for damage for shield damage. It should have been a d4.

Posts will likely be sporadically lame as I get into this new semester, back into tai chi, et cetera. I'll have one out each day, and when I see a bit of a calm moment I'll be able to invest more time/effort.

Just so I can properly picture what's what: We're avoiding the druid grove hours from Sanctum and traveling like 600 miles the long way?
Tentacledone |
I think that might have slightly be forgotten about/or needs a druid around that can cast teleport via plants (which we are currently traveling with). My guess is that there was some type of small charm or pool of water for scrying if the druid on the other end of the line needed to activate the circle. I think it was one of those things we left in the grey area.
lol, I have been having Ssilax use it to get from Caern and Enwas/Sanctum. And with how much Dax uses it to get to and from Caern quickly (she has a lot going on there), let's just say there is a charm that a select few know about to allow communication between linked circles :)

I must admit that I found the interpretation of the next DM in line, as they carry the baton from the previous one, to be a bit jarring at first, but I'm really starting to like it now as the story evolves before our very eyes. It must be like being a parent with all your hopes and dreams, and then watching them choose their own path (jarring, but inevitable).
Great job cats.

UnleSS that is, you have someway to shrink the object the space rock will stay as it weighs close to a ton. The rock is a mixture of iron ore, steel, traces of mithryl, and star metal as well. All in all it will be worthwhile to remove it from the cretor that it made.
My hope was to cast Shrink Item to bring it down to 1/16th it's normal size and 1/4000th it's original volume and mass to half a pound for 8 days, and change its composition to a cloth-like one.
I was hoping to let it cool down first though.
p.s. Don't piss off the wizard, or he'll throw the cloth onto you and have it revert back to its original size and weight :)
p.p.s. BRB off to steal some wagons and walls for our castle.
Argon Alma |
It will be a nice ornament in our castle's courtyard...
We could still bury it, though a mound of dirt may be conspicuous. We could dig a hole under it, let it fall in, and cover it up. How big is it again?

For reference, a 20'x20'x20' cube of iron weighs almost 2000 tons.

When it comes to math don't f*++ with mike. The man will school all of us, mic drop, and walk off like a stud.

When you study Engineering, you do lots and lots of math, applied to real world problems. And I have a master's.
----Hollow, that makes sense - that spectre thing had to come from somewhere!

I thought someone would pick up on a "mic drop" as a "Mike drop" :)
Argon Alma |
I used to have a sig:
"It's Open Mike Night at the medical school tonight."
Argon Alma |
I used to have a process that changed my signatures randomly from a list. This was my other fave:
O'Brien: Commander, I did a C-x, C-v, but he didn't materialize.
Riker: Is he on the clipboard?
O'Brien: <checking> Yes, he appears to be, sir.
Riker: Did you try Pasting him to the Battle Bridge?
O'Brien: That didn't work either.
Data: Might I suggest trying a "Paste Special"?

Fill the bellies of birds, not burns.
Damn you when my fingers conspire to tell different stories than my brain wished

Q: Did Dax arrange a safe place to store our equipment? Argon is obviously not wearing his breastplate and shield, or any of his weapons (he can make his fists metal if need be, and summon armor in a round).
Wrathe Sepai |
I think we should make Mike roll for diplomacy, just to make him sweat a bit : )
Wrathe Sepai |
If you add my last four rolls together it equals 16.
Fear me !!!

Beyond writing flair, is channel energy visible at all? Looking at the cleric description I see the only requirement being that you have your holy symbol, but no expectation of having speak out loud, or that there's any visible suggestion that you're doing it.
Argon Alma |
I'm totally confused about what's going on. Going to re-read all the ball posts...
Argon Alma |
So, the masked man Argon was talking to (with the red eyes) is different than the one that appeared on the balcony?
If he's the same, he just left and then appeared later, is that it?
Argon Alma |
"All of you seem to take notice of the man with raven hair, pale skin, well dressed man, wearing a Masquerade mask, listening to a number of conversations."
Argon Alma
"Argon is reminded of Dorian when he looks at the raven-haired man. He ignores him at first, satisfied to dance with the most beautiful, most forward, and least painted of the veterans' granddaughters.
After a while, he goes to stand alone at the side, and then introduces himself to the pale man."
You understand my confusion?
Wrathe Sepai |
Sorry about the lateness of my post, I was at a wedding today and a reception as well, just got in.
Now the fancy ball makes sense and you're looking around at all the fancy dress and wine, and thinking that what it needs is more vampires.

Did you see an Argon, hitting on all the bridal-eyed young ladies? Or was that you?

So, if the stone is 10 tons, if it were made of Iron, it would be about 40 cubic feet, or one and a half cubic yards.
If more dense, it will be smaller, and if less dense, it will be bigger.
Shrink Item will work for an item 2x8 or 16 cubic feet, for Wrathe. Are there any metamagics or other things that can increase that?
I just checked, and a Portable Hole appears to have no weight limit, and is 188 cubic feet in inside volume.
Iron has a density of 491 lbs/cu ft. Chart

There may be metamagics that would increase the limits of his magics, but none that he currently possesses.
If there was a way to carve it up into smaller pieces, then he could shrink each one.
If dragging is in our future (and I hope it isn't) he can also turn into a huge animal (like a behemoth hippo or mammoth elephant), and when mixed with Enlarge Person if the DM allows it, he could get up to Gargantuan.
