Sharadon's spell flees from his grasping mind under the pressure of close combat, and the skeleton takes advantage of his distraction.

AOO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23; 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5.

Gideon, spell combat / spellstrike abilities give you an extra attack. So far you have missed with your basic attack, but you get another roll to do weapon + spell damage.

Tudan is up.

Surveen is the one that's up, I thought. I went out of turn which may have been confusing.

Male Aasimar (Raised by Halflings) Barbarian 1 / Lame Oracle of Life 6

Sorry guys, was unable to get internet access at work today. Problem should be resolved tomorrow.

Round 2, Init 3

As Tudan feared, the skeleton facing him was indeed able to get in a glancing blow when he pulled out the scroll. However, that was nothing compared to the devastating strike that it managed to get in later, after Tudan finished reading the scroll. On the brink of death, Tudan reaches inwardly to the divine energy that powers his magic, and releases it recklessly -- but without having to let down his guard.

Standard action to channel positive energy to heal the living (including himself) within a 30' radius, which gets all of us: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10.
Since the map is alive and changing, here's our positions when the healing burst happens: GH at D8, SV at D9, SW at D11, TD at F13.
Move action: I can't think of anything.

A pulse of raw life energy bursts from Tudan, healing the wounds of all living things around him -- and leaving him looking only half-dead, instead of mostly.

Current Status:
AC 17, hp 13/27
Bless (6 more rounds), earplugs, ioun torch
Halfling sling staff: loaded, magic stone (3/3 remaining)
Channel energy: 4/5 remaining
Spells level 2: 4/4 remaining
Spells level 1: 6/7 remaining

Male Undine Monk 7 HPs:42/42, AC 20, (T19, FF16) CMD: 25 (27 grapple)

Will, what should be next?

Right, let's see... You all had a turn; Surveen killed a skeleton, Sharadan failed a defensive casting roll, Gideon missed with spell strike, Tudan healed everyone for 10 pts.

The two remaining skeletons are mindless in their hatred of the living.

BS2 strikes once again at Tudan: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23; 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5.
BS3 strikes at Gideon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11; 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7.

Initiative:

Bloody Skeletons
Sharadan Vos
Surveen Walsh
Haunt
Gideon Hawke
Tudan Davken

Technically Sharadan up next, but I am happy for you all to post in any order, to help move things along.

Round 3, Init 9

Gideon's veil twitches. It is certain that he's either smiling at the challenge or frowning at his last failure. It's one of the two but with Gideon is so mercurial, it's hard to tell.

He swipes again at the skeleton.

Spellstrike: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 211d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 74d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 4) = 14

Kapow! That time it worked.

The skeleton collapses under Gideon's arcane assault. Remnants of lightning flare and die across the skeleton's chain shirt, bright in the dank darkness of the ship.

Male Undine Monk 7 HPs:42/42, AC 20, (T19, FF16) CMD: 25 (27 grapple)

Round 2
Status: AC20, HPs 26/30, Conditions: bless 2/8
Longsword +1 power attack strike 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 2 + 1 = 11 damage 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 4 = 12

Surveen moves towards the last standing skeleton, slashing at it with his longsword.

Male Human Fighter 1, Wizard (Evocation Admixturist) 5, Eldritch Knight 1

Taking a weary step backwards, Sharadon lets loose one more gout of magical flame from his hand, sending it hurtling towards the last skeleton.

Casting Scorching Ray on the last bonehead.

Ranged Touch Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Scorching Ray Damage 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4, 6, 5) + 2 = 23

Male Aasimar (Raised by Halflings) Barbarian 1 / Lame Oracle of Life 6

If the last skeleton still stands...

Round 3, Init 3

The heavily-injured aasimar reaches deep into himself and releases another pulse of healing energy. Channel positive energy: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

Current Status:
AC 17, hp 16/27
Bless (5 more rounds), earplugs, ioun torch
Halfling sling staff: loaded, magic stone (3/3 remaining)
Channel energy: 3/5 remaining
Spells level 2: 4/4 remaining
Spells level 1: 6/7 remaining

Surveen's blow is wide, but Sharadon's conjured flame sends blackened bones crashing into the wooden wall of the boat. Tudan's healing is a blessed relief after the hectic combat.

Combat over. 300 XP each. Well done everyone!

Male Aasimar (Raised by Halflings) Barbarian 1 / Lame Oracle of Life 6

"Wow, that was... intense." The easy-going oracle leans against the side of the ship for support. "Lucky thing I had that scroll of bless," he muses. "The gore coating those bones could re-animate them otherwise; but this time, we've actually put them to their final rest." He sighs, then straightens and prepares to heal himself for the next challenge.
