Ah Ryuk. WHen it comes to random talents, what i'd like you to do is roll another four 1d100's to complete the set of three rolls for talents each :) while the talents you have are rather nice, maybe you will get something else even nicer. if u read the other board, Brenog ended up with very strong and very resilient in the same two sets :) two of my player favorite talents.
:) once that's done all you need to do is finish the rest of character creation if u havent already, update the online character sheet and so on :)

Transferring this info from the Gamer Connection OOC thread since maybe not everyone saw it:
(The questions were mine and the answers are from Changer of Ways)
Do any of our characters already know each other?
Your characters may know each other with due explanation, maybe the SImgarite priest ran into the student once, but the Mercenary wouldn't have much basis to be good friends with the Noble etc. And NO ONE knows the elf, since he's from Athel Loren.
Are we all traveling to Black Mountains for a particular reason?
A very particular reason. Chaos has struck the outlying villages there, not actual chaos, but random attacks made by an unknown perpetrator. The attacks leave few alive and each village is burned to the ground. The Lord COnstable of Averheim, being the only one in charge since the Elector Count's absence, is tasked with sending forces to end these attacks. Since he has NO soldiers to send, guess who the lucky ones to be sent there are? :) Thus why I kept mentioning "conscripting" :P
Are we currently in Averheim?
No, currently you are on the road towards Black Water, but are QUITE a ways off.
Will we travel to Grenzstadt before going to Black Lake?
Possibly to regain supplies, but your troupe will have to stay outside to jelp guard the caravan. Bandits and roaming beastmen tribes still this far south plauge the roads, caravans left unguarded outside a city gates are perfect targets, despite the threat of a caste gate, which happens to be severely undermanned due to every able-bodied soldier being in the North near Middeheim fighting against CHaos.
Should we introduce ourselves to each other as we meet up on the road, or what?
Yes definetly, you guys will be required to know at least each other's names before arriving, since, "Hey, you with the face, Mercenary" is not a polite greeting, also it implies to me you aren't willing to learn each others' names etc.
So guys once you get the chance, post your introductions in the IC thread and then we can start interacting.
Game on!
Tzeentch the Changer of Ways |
All right, Thank you very much Eradico :) well everyone it is officially past the submission period and the game is offically started. everyone who has not yet posted IC please do so so I know you are still interested in the game. This is going to be hard to run with only 3 active players, so I really need your additions to the thread. Again, the game is officialy begun, I will have a IC character post up to progress the story line, so lets get this party on the road!

ooooh that is it!
*Sends magical lightning dancing about the entire realm, chasing Slaanesh away swinging his huge bladed staff about him wildly! Eventually calms down and returns to mortal world.*
Why you may ask for my actions towards my DEEAR little brother? Well you see, the magical contracts are PERFECTLY in order, its a daemon thing. The whole "androgynous" thing isn't the problem either, he's the lord of Pleasure, what you gonna do?
Glows ominously with evil irritated light from pure unadulterated wrath. Slips into Daemon voice.
"But the violin...is too...much."
Wolfgang the Noble |
Well normally we do not let mortals choose their powers but.....Ill make an exception since your such a good looking little noble but youll have to owe me a favor.....hehehehehe
*offers magical contract with violin playing in background*
Deal. Pleasure and pain in abundance shall be inflicted on the unsuspecting Empire. ;-)
Tzeentch the Changer of Ways |
Hmm...oh the delicious intricacies on how the noble Wolfgang will avoid being noticed by the sigmarite priest as the stigmata of chaos begins to bloom upon him.
Hahaha well said Wolfgang, but players converting to the worship of Chaos gods NOT go over well in the Empire unless you have a cult you can immediately join, and where you're heading, chaos is just the term for a lot of bad things happening at one time. Also, from previous experiences, I will be severely downplaying the influence of Chaos beyond the fact that "Tzeentch" is the gamemaster and is orchestrating the entire thing, but SHHHH don't be meta now ;D
IN any case, now you are comepletely free to post IC :)

Gotta say guys, loving the party so far and you guys haven't even gotten into the official campaign, good feeling on this group! :)
ALso Laurenor, feel free to post trying to catch up to the caravan, just give plenty of details why you're this far north. Also if you were trying to follow this 'Ripjaw's' trail it will be 3 follow trail skill tests.
One at Very easy +20% (they're orcs, they make a mess when they're marching)
One at Easy +10% (Still pretty wide trail)
And the last one at Very Hard -20% (Somehow the orcs have cut off into the woods and then into the mountains, following them will be much harder than any other hunt you have ever gone after.)
Anyways, Laurenor feel free to jump in, but as a tiny point of advice, don't just jump out near the convoy. They may be laid back but an elf popping up suddenly going "Hello THERE!" will probably have some of the more uptight on edge people w blades out aaaand that's never good with suspicious humans.

Stats of the Enemy are up so you may see when and how they Hit you, but please do not Meta these. I took the time to type these up for your benefit, please do not abuse this, because I may not do it again if you do. :) thanks.

*shrugs* Nah I don't believe so, this campaign can be really fun for players as it progresses. Inventiveness is very much appreciated, but, for example, I would really rather not have my PC's try and make catapults from stuff lying around or etc when they have no idea how. that's all i ask. Again, ideas for inventive ways to overcome my encounters can be very fun to adapt to as a GM, and I always appreciate players being interested enough in the story to try and adapt to their surroundings. now then, battle continues!
Props to Marius for his inventive play. Props to Changer for allowing the chance for that creative play to bear fruit.
I wouldn't worry too much about the party going all MacGuyver on you, Changer. :)

It was really an act of desperation on Marius's part. It was basically hide, attack multiple beastman with a dagger, or do something to change the nature of the conflict. I had no idea or expectation it would actually work only that it gave me the best chance to open up more options.
Now I just need to make an unskilled roll at a -20% to keep from wrapping this thing aroung a lamppost.
I don't think we will get too crazy. And it's not like WFRP does not have plenty of ways to slap down uppty players. ;7)
btw DM reposting initiative order every round is VERY helpful.
Deiros |
Hmmm perhaps if I decide to post a simple action for someone who has not posted in 24 hours? all in favor? Actions will always consist of one attack or moving up to the closest enemy and performing a single attack.
I don't see why not it's only to keep the flow of the game going so I see no harm. That is just IMHO.
Might be able to lend you my shield if I go two weapon fighting with twin axes xD just for the kick of it.
