The Hell’s Vengeance Adventure Path begins when the Hellknight Order of the Godclaw reveals that its members have found Heart’s Edge, the legendary sword once wielded by the goddess Iomedae. A group of Iomedaean knights calling themselves the Glorious Reclamation, upset that a Hellknight order held an important relic of their faith, raided the Hellknights’ fortress, Citadel Dinyar, and reclaimed the divine weapon. And rather than stopping there, they set their sights on overthrowing the diabolical Thrice-Damned House of Thrune! It is your job to stop them.

ANOTHER QUESTION(S). as a high-bred noble daughter, i can't possibly be bothered to carry my own stuff. I'd like to get a pony, because of course I do. I have some clarifying questions about that, though.

1: can my pet pony count as my "sentimental item"? It's 30gp.

2: if yes to 1, can i UPGRADE my pony to a light horse, using my other funds to make up the difference (75gp for a horse - 50 = 25 out of pocket) (probably not but hey, might as well ask)

3: speaking of ponies, how much can they actually carry? there are 3 different answers I've found for this. (for a light load,) the bestiary says 100lbs, general carry capacity rules suggest 75, and the mounted movement chart indicates that it's up to 150. which of these should i follow?

Firstly, ignore the weights in the Mounted Movement Table. They're a bloody mess. I'd say go with the general rules for carrying capacity.

If we want to talk about realistic horse carrying capacity, a horse can carry roughly 20% of their body weight without trouble. Any more than that can be damaging to the horse. If we wanted to model that in Pathfinder, I'd say that tack and rider need to be a light load for the horse and anything more needs to be pulled on a cart. But that's just needless complexity.

At any rate, your light horse's carrying capacity would be up to 228 lb, medium between 229 and 459, heavy between 460 and 690. It would be able to drag up to 3450 lb, or up to 6900 lb on a wheeled cart.

here's my character sheet, which i THINK is done but i'm sure people (trin) will be able to tell me something that i've missed. which i'll fix when it's not 3am.


Because weapon finesse is free for everyone, your attack bonuses with the whip and the rapier are actually +1 because of your dex mod. Also, your whip has a range of 15ft.

Lastly, if you have the spare dosh for it you may want to get a shortbow or crossbow and some arrows. Ranged attacks are always nice.


Hey Sean, important question.

Mary's familiar 'levels up' and is the same creature but changed guises as she goes until 9th level where it can morph between any of them. Would the personal stat bonus from her familiar be consistent throughout, or only while it is in its most basic familiar form?


It's probably supposed to go away when the form shifts, but for the sake of ease you can keep it.

Also, I'm headed out the door to work right now. I'll update when I get off and have a chance to actually stat up the relevant NPCs for the first session.

I have...maybe an idea or two that could work, but I might need a few more details on what exactly is going on.

It's something that we can leave for later if you'd prefer, but two options immediately spring to mind. 1, you're an illegitimate bastard and your Thrune parent has died, leaving you no real claim to the name and nothing to inherit. 2, you're just bored. Ordering servants to fight to the death is amusing for awhile, but it quickly loses its thrill.

Just a couple options to conaider.

Hey GM! Important 3PP feat question.

Vigilantes don't get an extra vigilante talent feat due to them being usually worth a lot vs normal feats, but at least one 3PP team seems to be looking at a way to change it, using the Extra Evolution feat as a guideline. Would this feat be doable?

Requirements: Vigilante, the Vigilante Talent class ability.

Effect: Gain an additional Vigilante Talent. You must meet all prerequisites for this talent.

Special: This feat can be taken once at 2nd level, and again at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th.


Sure, we'll try it out. I'm curious, though, as to why it doesn't start at 1st level and include Social Talents.


Social talents are sort of eeeh, so you'd never pick one over a vigilante talent.


Still, it seems weird to have a level 2 requirement when a pure vigilante can't pick it up until 3rd. Start it at 1 and include Social Talents. We'll see how it shakes out.
