Trouble in Sembia (Inactive)

Game Master EltonJ

Orcs invade Sembia looking for a home to call their own. This campaign is basically a war story. Will the heroes succeed, or will the orcs win?

He counted about ten.

He grips the haft of his giant blackened morningstar "Let me guess...you want to talk to them, right?"

Mosely lets out an impatient noise underscoring his agreement with Zdravko. "Pff. Kill orcs, rescue elf."

Sorcerer | HP: 7/7 | AC: 13, T: 12 I, FF: 11 | Fort: 1, Reflex: 2, Will: 1 | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | Init: +6 | Perception: +1

Val raises an eyebrow at Zdravko. "Talk to them? Only if we're outnumbered, or they otherwise look like they'd kill us. I don't talk to orcs. I bend their minds and make them do what I want like the weak-willed peons they are. I speak orc, if I have to, but it's such a weird language - they have seventeen words for blood, for example, depending on how fresh it is, and if it comes from a sentient being or not. Pain in the ass language, frankly."

He scratches his chin. "We don't want them killing the woman, though. Waste of a perfectly good maiden, frankly, and I'm certain it would hurt our reputation in getting future work if we let an innocent die."

He widens his smile to a wicked grin and looks at Dany. "I have an idea. Can anyone else here cast ghost sound? I could use minor image to disguise her riding her horse as a much nastier monster that would intimidate the orcs. Supplement that with a few roars, courtesy of ghost sound, and we've got a real nasty beast. Orcs would not kill a hostage if a monster attacked. All eyes would be on our warrior woman friend if the monster burst open the doors of the barn with a nasty charge. Meanwhile , Mosely can sneak up, cut the woman's bonds, sneak her out, and once the victim is free, the rest of us attack from behind and the sides."

He gives a shrug. "Sound good? Or anyone have another plan?"

Zdravko slowly assembles the plan in his mind until finally understanding "Oh ho ho, I like your style. Let's do this."

Cedryk gets out of the way of the warriors as they formulate a plan to attack the orcs within the tower. The plan sounds...interesting and he hopes it works.

Cedryk will also look around the tower for any other way to enter/exit.

Cedryk:
There is no other way to enter/exit.

Zdravko squats behind a bush trying to be discrete, his thigh veins bulging. He grins madly at the forthcoming plan...

Stealth (dex-acp): 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 4 = 5

"So, who's the monster?" says Mosely quietly.

Hearing the ranger ask for a volunteer, Hedgewyk hops down from his friend's shoulder and stalks towards the halfling making strange, chirping noises, which he comes to believe are growls.

Cedryk smiles at his little friend as he walks up behind him.

"Not too sure you quite fit the bill my friend, but will I do?"

Can we assume Vallegrath executes his plan, DM? Been almost a week RL time...

Cedryk can cast entangle on the orcs in the tower and we can then go in for the kill if no one wants the other plan??

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Yes, Vallegrath executes his plan and Cedryk uses entangle.

...so do the orcs respond to the illusion? If so I'll power attack one when it comes out.

Atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Dmg: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

One does come out and is attacked by Zdravko, making a terrible wound. The orc is hardy and attacks Zdrako back with a short sword.

attack: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Cedryk moves up and swipes at the orc with his swiftly enchanted staff (cast Shillelagh)

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 2 = 11

The attack was a miss, it doesn't kill the orc.

Is there a map or initiative count somewhere? Maybe people don't know they are up
