Trouble in Sembia (Inactive)

Game Master EltonJ

Orcs invade Sembia looking for a home to call their own. This campaign is basically a war story. Will the heroes succeed, or will the orcs win?

Oy! Discussion thread here!

Oi! Thanks for choosing me!! I look forward to slaying many orcs and freeing many plants!!

I also look forward to slaying orcs and will try not to get blood and offal on fore-mentioned freed plants.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

It will be interesting to see how Cedryk will react to orcs burning fields of grain. Although I got an idea on how Zdravko will react, by trying to break as many orc skulls as possible.

Heck yeah, no one messes with my morning muffins. We gotta harvest that wheat.

Setting up stat line under name at the moment. Any preferences there?

Zdravko is a mercenary from Selgaunt with ties to the Six Coffers. He also claims to be a descendant of Rauthauvyr the Raven, founder of Sembia.

The young half-elf walks into the nearly-empty room with his invitation in hand as if he owns the place. "Well, clearly I'm not going to be working with lack-wits. That's a relief. I mean, you chose me, so you can't be that slow, now can you?"

This should be a fun one. Looking forward to it!

I should point out that Val isn't quite sure what kind of elf his father was. I deliberately left his father a total mystery for the GM to play around with, should he so desire.

The campaign in opposition to this one should also be fun. I'm thinking of an all orc campaign for the invasion of Sembia after my Athasian game reaches it's conclusion. But for now, you can cleave some orc skulls.

Male The rare Cynic Dragon

I did something similar to that once. Ran two parties in the same shared world in two separate PbP games, where each heard of the other's existence, and eventually merged them up.

Unfortunately I ran out of inspiration shortly after due to some serious personal issues. But it was neat.

'allo! Anybody want some savory pie?

DM, how is your Dark Dun game going? I've been thinking of running one myself.

Dark Sun? Getting there. We are half-way through and I've been throwing everything but undead at them at the moment. They faced a drake, and with an amazing intimidate roll they managed not to get eaten.

They have almost reached their goal, and the campaign is almost finished.

Zdravko has 16hp at level 1. You are not the tank, Mosely.

I am, however, most certainly the face. I'm going to be focusing on enchantments, illusions, and other non-boom-y spells. I'll throw in occasional transmutaton or conjuration to deal with undead and other mindless creatures, just in case, but basically I'm going with a mindbender. The only reason I didn't start with Charm Person was I just think Minor Image is more versatile, and I needed grease to have something to do when we fight a mindless.

AC 21 vs. AC 18. Take yer pick. I'm build to avoid hits, he's built to take 'em.

Now, Now, I will allow both you to stand in front of me and soak up the damage...equally!! Hedgewyk agrees!!!

Well for my part I've never been much a fan of the idea of "tanks" in tabletop RPGs. If Mosely can be a flank buddy that's awesome.

As Cedryk says, in either case, whichever of you desires the front-line (or both if such is the case) can have it. I'm squishy.

Dany is completely willing to let other people fight over who will take hits. As long as she can get a glorious lance charge in once in a while, she's otherwise happy to harry from the second line and keep orcs away from the squishies.

Sorcerer | HP: 7/7 | AC: 13, T: 12 I, FF: 11 | Fort: 1, Reflex: 2, Will: 1 | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | Init: +6 | Perception: +1

Ha! Totally missed the Prancing Pony being from Tolkien until you mentioned it!

Hmmm, we're still short three halflings (pun unintended), but at least we got the ranger on sale - buy one halfling, get one ranger free! Too bad he's half off from the human one (pun intended)!

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

I get to design Sembia how I like. So the Prancing Pony is an added bonus.

Male The rare Cynic Dragon

Frankly, given your handle, I think you're lucky nobody made a halfling bard, or you'd be flooded with Tiny Dancer jokes.

That's the best I could do. I think an Ifrit Air Wizard punning on Candle in the Wind would be too much of a stretch.

However, as soon as we have the capability of casting mass cure spells, expect Circle of Life puns like you've never known.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

I get it.

I don't know what the treasure pamphlet says so ill be waiting on the DM to read it.

Same, thought it would be weird to keep posting until that happened.

Seem to have stalled a bit after an awesome start. Hopefully everyone just travelling for holidays?

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

I think so. I think they are traveling for the holidays.

Yep, I'm on the road a lot for the holidays.

Sorry for slow posting; been sick with sick kids, happy fun times.

Couldn't help the patchouli and smoke joke. Every druid I make is a dirty hippie.

OH I see. Sorry for the slowness of my post, I've been in a funk today.

Vallegrath, would your PC know about the dancing lights spell?

Sorcerer | HP: 7/7 | AC: 13, T: 12 I, FF: 11 | Fort: 1, Reflex: 2, Will: 1 | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | Init: +6 | Perception: +1

Probably. It's a cantrip. He has a rank in Spellcraft, which is how you identify spells, and it's on his own list, even though he doesn't have it yet.

DM's earlier description reminded me of

Dancing Lights wrote:
four lights that resemble lanterns or torches (and cast that amount of light), or up to four glowing spheres of light (which look like will-o’-wisps)

but of course Z would know nothing of that.

Sorry guys I'm going to bail this campaign is going way to slow for me, GL, guys and girls. I cant stay in it with people posting once every 3-4 days.

Elaith leaves the fools behind to become the "Serpent" Once the fire is started.

Sorry to hear that, have to say I share the sentiment but I will stick it out a bit longer.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

IF this doesn't work out . . .
I've got a second All Orc campaign in mind that I could recruit for.

Alright, I am reluctantly pulling out as well...seems no one is playing.

GM, when you have a chance please remove my alias(s) from players and/or inactivate, thanks.

Sorcerer | HP: 7/7 | AC: 13, T: 12 I, FF: 11 | Fort: 1, Reflex: 2, Will: 1 | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | Init: +6 | Perception: +1

Yeah, sorry, I'm feeling the same. Lots of days with not much happening, and when it does, a lot less detail and such than I'm used to. Sorry man.

Not sure why everyone is pulling out and not posting??
