Blight Helllite |

Blight looks very happy as the the human questions him about Lathander. I keep referring to the Morning Lord the great Sun god Lathander! He is the great god of creativity, life, vitality, and self perfection. Justice is but one virtue of life and since the Morning Lord celebrates life. It is one tenants to spread life and justice. His mighty power warms us with sunlight. Would care to know more of Lathander I can lead you in ritual that will bring you to his joyous embrace? Blight says all this in one breathe and looks eagerly at the group.

DoubleGold |

Frank looks at Blight and says "Hey bro, who is this crying guy you keep talking about? He your daddy or sometin?"
My best friend's husband. And he is accused of petty theft, anything more and they'd throw the tougher animals at him.
For those who are helping, you head into the collesium, big audience watching you, some booing you others cheering you one. The circle has a 60 foot radius. You are all in the center. Two raptors come out of the north gate 60 feet away and two more raptors come from the east end, 30 feet away as they come from the floor as you see a floor slide out and they travel up the stairs.
init of raptor: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (6) = 8 if you are in the collesium roll init and you beat the raptors, you are up. The NPC you are protecting is a commoner with a longsword, he would surely die in one hit, two if he is luckly.

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

"Morning people are annoying." says Frank on the subject of Lathander.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Frank does so much walk as strut into the arena, waving at the people in the stands. When the raptors appear, Frank moves to the group and the left and unleashes his thunder.
casting Thunderwave as a 2nd level spell. DC 13 Con save or take: 3d8 ⇒ (2, 7, 5) = 14 Thunder damage and pushed back 10'. Take half damage on a save and you are not pushed.

Tonk Thunderclaw |

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Tonk will cast entangle on the set of raptors to the north and shift into bear form, staying next to the commoner to guard him for now.
Entangle is difficult terrain and the creatures inside must make a DC 14 STR check or be restrained.
action for entangle, bonus action to shift.

DoubleGold |

The raptors charge con: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (1) = 1 con: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (19) = 19
con: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (2) = 2 con: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (9) = 9 three of them get pushed back and take lots of damage making them unable to move close enough to attack the group this round
str: -2 + 1d20 ⇒ -2 + (16) = 14 and the one not pushed back makes the save first, not restrained str: -2 + 1d20 ⇒ -2 + (5) = 3 str: -2 + 1d20 ⇒ -2 + (18) = 16 str: -2 + 1d20 ⇒ -2 + (18) = 16
the raptor tries to bite Tonk bite: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (3) = 8
claw: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (6) = 11
All heroes are up Raptors are looking weak expect for the one that took half thunder damage.

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

Frank will again Thunderwave, this time focusing on the three who were shoved back last time.
Con Save DC 13: 2d8 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 Thunder damage. Save for half and to avoid being pushed back.

Svala Forgesister |

Svala moves up and swings at one with her axe (finish off a weak one if possible attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 dmg: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Using Whisper, but not attuned - so just +1

DoubleGold |

con: 4d20 ⇒ (2, 8, 17, 10) = 37 Frank fishes off 2 knocking them back further and Svala finishes off one, then Tonk finishes off the last one as she swings.
Just then someone from the audience jumps into the ring over the wall.
The lady speaks. I'm pretty sure that is the guy who stole from the weapons and potions store, I recognize is darkspot under his eyes, but I can't prove he is guilty
All heroes are up, you have one guy in melee with our melee heroes, he has the stats of a knight.

Tonk Thunderclaw |

To accentuate her point, Tonk moves between the the man she’s protecting and rears up on her hind legs. ”ROOOOOAAAARRRR!” Coming back to all fours, she is almost daring the challenger to attack her.
Move action to position. Action to ready an attack if the challenger comes adjacent to Tonk.
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 for 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10

Svala Forgesister |

Svala takes a swing at the new challenger.
Cast Searing Smite as bonus action
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 5 + (1) = 7 dmg: 1d12 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + (3) = 9 Last d6 is fire damage, +1d4 on attack from bless
guessing that's a miss, but Searing Smite lasts for concentration or until I hit.
Also I have Sentinel now, so if he tries to attack something else or move away from me I can attack him, I'll roll that now just in case, ignore if he focus's on me
Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (17) + 5 + (4) = 26 dmg: 1d12 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (10) + 3 + (2) = 15

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

Btw Blight, just a heads up in case you didn't know: You don't need to use your standard action to concentrate on a spell. With that being said, however, you can only concentrate on a single spell at a time, and if you take damage, you have to make a concentration check to keep the spell going.
Frank waits to see what this guy does before acting. Delaying "Come at me bro!"

DoubleGold |

As Frank taunts him, Svala delivers a good hit on him.
The other miss, including Svala's first attack as they bounce off
The swings at Frank hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (2) = 7 hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (15) = 20
dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8
Frank and Blight are up Yes blight, not an action to concentrate on bless, hit him with sacred flame or something.
Then after those two go, all heroes are up for round 2 so Frank and blight might as well take 2 actions.

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

Frank casts and then unleashes his signature spell on the knight again and again. assuming that he will move between castings.
Thunderwave as a 2nd (dc 13 Con Save or take): 3d8 ⇒ (2, 6, 4) = 12 Thunder damage and pushed 10'. Half damage on a successful save and not pushed.
Thunderwave (dc 13 Con Save or take): 2d8 ⇒ (4, 8) = 12 Thunder damage and pushed 10'. Half damage on a successful save and not pushed.

Svala Forgesister |

Svala continues to hit it with her axe attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 dmg: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Also since I hit with Searing Smite: he needs to continue to make saves as he burns:
At the start of each of its turns until the spell ends, the target must make a <<DC13>> Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 1d6 fire damage. On a successful save, the spell ends. If the target or a creature within 5 feet of it uses an action to put out the flames, or if some other effect douses the flames (such as the target being submerged in water), the spell ends.

DoubleGold |

con: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (2) = 4 con: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (4) = 6 Frank delivers two powerful blasts to the guy pushing him 20 feet back, he is nearly against the wall and very injured, and Svala hits him hard in the chest with the axe.
dex: 0 + 1d20 ⇒ 0 + (20) = 20 and the fire blight throws at him he dodges
Tonk tries to claw him hit: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (8) = 14 and she misses, but the heroes finish him off next round.
He dies and the crowd cheers. The judge of the game stands up. The gods have spoken, that man was innocent, that heavily armored man was guilty, and those raptors had its day.
A Cleric heals the heroes wounds and spells. back to full HP and spells All heroes get 50 gold each, and you may buy anything you like, then we go onto expansion number 2, helping Artus Climber and then back to the game, since you have to be in this city for expansion 2 to start.

Tonk Thunderclaw |

Tonk takes the gold and looks at it for a moment. Shrugging, she then pockets the coin and says ”Why you all here in Nyanzaru? I’ve been sent by clan leader to find reason for death curse.” Looking to Blight confused slightly ”You first... uh Teef-ling I ever met. You follow sun god, that’s good. Devil god is bad.” Tonk seems to struggle with the common language quite frequently which frustrates her, but she does not like speaking to strangers in her native manner unless absolutely needed. She understands that it could be startling and seen as invasive for most people.

DoubleGold |

Artus Climbers takes the heroes on a path to the Lost city of Mezro, you ain't there yet though.
Following Artus' directions, the maze of trees slowly
clears way into a small path with a visible clearing in the
distance. Though you can make out a few of the village
structures from here, you also see wisps of black smoke
rising from several areas within the village. A putrid
stench permeates through already the thick, humid air.
A few yards away from your location, you spot several
battered corpses strewn along the path leading to the
village entrance.

As blight points them out, that is init. and Blight gets the first move.
On their turn they will shoots arrows at the heroes hit: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (6) = 12 hit: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (16) = 22 at the cleric if hit take 11 damage a hit.
All heroes are up [ooc]from now until August this will have to speed up, like every day or twice a day, I'll be posting. Trying to finish up all my games before Pathfinder 2e comes out.[/b]

Tonk Thunderclaw |

How much exp for the encounter in Nyanzaru? I think Frank might actually be on Spring Break. But I think you can dictate speed as you’d like. If someone hasn’t posted with 24 hours you could not their actions if we’re in combat. Franks would not be hard to figure out. I bet he’d use thunderwave lol.
on.a separate note In between the encounter and now Tonk participated in an EPIC encounter. Pirates attack d Port Nyanzaru! Not to worry though, we repelled them. In the process, she managed to procure a coveted Druid artifact. A Staff of the Woodlands. Just so everyone is aware when you see her using her staff to awesome effect.
Tonk rushes forward and launches a thorny vine at the nearest tree born opponent.
Thornwhip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 for Piercing Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8 and pulling the creature 10 ft out of the tree and onto the ground.

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

Nope, the game just wasn't updating for me.
Frank moves next to as many of them as possible and casts Thunderclap.
DC 13 Con save or take: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Thunder damage.

Svala Forgesister |

If there's any opponents still alive within axe range (i.e. the one Tonk whipped and pulled) Svala will hit it with her axe attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 dmg: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
if not she'll Sacred flame one in a tree dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 3 DEX DC13 to avoid.

DoubleGold |

Tonk pulls the creature onto the ground falling damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Being on the ground he fails the con save, the other one however con: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (13) = 15
Svala has advantage on that attack, you might crit hit: 1d20 ⇒ 15 nope but she does hit him hard and dex: 1 + 1d20 ⇒ 1 + (7) = 8 The one on the ground took 19 damage and the one in the tree took 3. He jumps down to attack hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (14) = 19 vs tonk hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (4) = 9 vs tonk take 9 damage if hit
The other one gets up and tries a dagger on tonk hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (9) = 14 and take 3 piercing and 1 poison if hit.
You didn't get exp from last fight, since you didn't yet long rest, you will soon.
All heroes are up

Tonk Thunderclaw |

Tonk growls at the man in front of her, shifting into a brown bear she now aggressively tries to maul her attackers. If the man she pulled from the tree falls to her bite she will claw the other. Otherwise both attacks strike her first target.
Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 for Magical Piercing: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 for Magical Slashing: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 3) + 5 = 12

Frank "Boom Boom" Di'Noso |

Frank will simply target one opponent (or two if there are any adj. to each other) with Acid Splash.
DC 13 Dex save or take: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Acid damage.

DoubleGold |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

The heroes take them down and get a long rest.
850 XP each, 400 gold each, 5 downtime, 1 renown.
In the morning you wake up with 6 kobolds with weapons pointed at you, you are tied up. We have an offer for you and you won't be harmed. If we untie you, we are asking you to murder someone, we want revenge on a man that manipulated us. If you say yes, no combat involved, but something will affect your alignment, nothing will change with it, it is a secret mechanic, you may gain treasure. If you say no or pretend to agree, no combat happens and no bad comes from it, but you will not gain additional treasure.

Greycastle |

I think I’m going to bow out of this one guys. My work load has gotten pretty high. Thanks for the encounters.

DoubleGold |

He told us that if we build a barn for him, he'd pay us well. He provided us the materials we needed but he gave us each 5 copper pieces. And it took us three whole days to do it. We have done any number of other side jobs within that time and have gotten at least 3 gold a piece. We found out he's done this to other people to, apparently, his projects aren't for him, but he is selling them for dozens of gold on the market and paying us five copper. Also, he sabotages the projects slightly so that they will need repaired months down the road, forcing the person who bought the projects from him to pay him 15% of the original price to fix it, when really it cost him less than 2% of the cost to fix it using the appropriate materials. Not against the law exactly, but pretty close. People have taken this to trial and lawyers got him off on a technicality. He should be in jail for fraud, but no, so we are going to put a vigilante justice to it.
Play this part out as you wish, I'm jumping ahead a little.
You all reach a town. Two guards halt you. Halt, what is your business here? You can say anything you like, the man they are looking for is here, but you have actual business other than him to be here. You can say the death curse, cause Artus Climber is leading you. You can mention the man, though you have no idea what attention this will attract. There is a dark clan here too that has nothing to do with the scammer, but the guards are unaware of this.
Map is updated. It is at the top of the page, Tamalka Village. Ignore the scale that says 1 square =5 feet. I'm upscaling it to make it bigger, so it actually has more houses and buildings. 1 square=20 feet.
