Vulnerabilities: none, but good aligned weapons or silver works better than normal weapons; the creatures approach from the north, the village lies to the south; three of them, one after the other since they are large creatures; no actual leader; you could hide in the trees and still have line of sight on the platform, but since the trees stand lower than the platform the tree's crown (about 10 feet) is at the same level, no bonus to ranged attacks for higher ground

Aldebert, upon being told of the creature's vulnerabilities, will take the opportunity to blanch 20 pieces of ammunition with Silver weapon blanch, all the while chuckling maniacally as he keeps adding wood to the fire pit, an activity one might consider unnecessary given how hot the fire already burns. "Yes, soon creatures, soon you will know the meaning of Fear as you are lanced through by Matilda's glorious Taldane glory! And by glory" he adds, winking at Susan in a manner that wants to be surreptitious but really ends up being over the top "I mean bolts. BWAHAHAHAHA!" His cackle ends as it begun, suddenly and awkwardly.

"If these creatures can indeed fly then this battle is a moot point. They will just bypass us. But the man did say not always. My suggestion- force them to come towards the far side bridge opening. That will funnel them to us two at a time. Those who do melee stay at that end while those who do ranged have stand off and pick off the ones in the back damaging them as mush as you can before they get to the melee folks up at the front for easier pickings. Chaul enters the room on the dam. It's a temple. This tranquil temple features a humble altar bearing a clay statue of a child surrounded by candles, offerings, and relics. Faded murals cover the walls and ceiling. Only candles light the windowless stupa, bathing it in dim light. Chaul feels sense of serenity.

Kn. religion DC15:

The holy aura around the shrine functions as a hallow spell, with the additional benefit of suppressing the damage reduction of evil outsiders. This effect extends beyond the walls of the stupa onto the surface of the dam, to a radius of 20 feet from the altar. marked on the map

If Opal is around, I'd rather he play. Otherwise, would you mind doing the honors? He'd probably try a fire bomb instead.

Aldebert spins aside, a modern-day ballerina, pausing only to casually put out the fire that has started on his left mustache. "Well now, dear boy, that's rather uncouth of you! Or girl for that matter; you all look the same to me! Must be the base demeanor of your race as a whole!" he quips, or at least one might hope and pray that it is a quip, stepping back a tad as he does so. And then, pulling a lever on Mathilda the crossbow, he lets loose, laughing.
