This is a heads up that I am traveling from now through the 4th of July holiday. I will be mostly in an area where cell service is spotty; I may not be able to post at all, but I will do my best to, if nothing else, post actions with limited roleplay. If you are also in the US, enjoy your holiday, and if you're not: don't mind us!

I'll start worrying about our GM after 4th of July weekend.
Just out of curiosity, if the worst were to happen, what are we looking for?
It's been almost a week since he last posted...I checked over on the Core series of this same module and it's been over a week since he posted there (didn't want to read any spoilers but they've been in part 2 for a while)...I would've thought he'd have dropped us a line if he were gonna be out of town or something for the fourth. Real life may have intervened; first and foremost, I hope nothing is wrong...
As far as options if this game breaks down, I asked another GM here a general question 'bout when a PBP session dies and he said there were two options: either try to find a replacement GM or the group can decide to withdraw all players as if it never took place...

Welcome back, GM! Glad nothing was wrong...and hope your connection issues get patched up!
I'm starting to suspect it's this computer, which is really old. Testing connections to paizo from my work machine (which I don't usually due since it gets audited. I'll use the holiday as an excuse.) No issue there. (Although I'm not having issues on this machine right now either, so who knows.)

And since Paizo's site was having so many problems, may have taken a while to figure out it was your PC instead of their site...
If your PC was upgraded recently to Windows 10, it might affect it as well. I've seen more than one PC's wireless connections go haywire (up and down) after upgrading to 10...

Wouldn't be surprised if that's the culprit...
I was troubleshooting a friend's laptop just this past weekend...the wireless connection had dropped and it couldn't re-connect...we tried everything we could think of and nothing worked...finally had to call his ISP and they had to switch some setting in the cable modem that wasn't compatible with Windows 10 and it worked after that.
May not be the exact issue you're having but could be related...also read when I was troubleshooting the laptop that others had driver issues preventing them from hitting the net when upgrading to 10...

@Quazel: You gathered all the flasks we found from our encounter with the mutant spider at Gellion's place...there were 2 alchemical fire flasks and 6 flasks of acid in that bunch...I have 2 acid flasks and an alkali flask but unfortunately I'll be in the swarm for at least another turn before I can act...
So much for having high Initiative and Perception modifiers; the dice can be so fickle...

I have another busy weekend coming up, but this one is in a hotel and should allow for more posting; I expect to at least keep up a daily posting rate through the weekend.

Work has swamped me this week, and next week I'm traveling on business (but will still check in as I can). Please bot me as necessary, and I'll go along with whatever people choose.

Apologies for the lack of posting this weekend; a minor whirlwind arose in my life but I'm back. I'm posting this message in all of my games first, then circling back around to make an in-game post. I should be caught up later today. Thanks for your patience!

![]() |

No worries, you didn't miss anything...no one's posted in the Gameplay thread in almost a week...Quazel's up but he asked to be botted so I guess we're waiting on that...

Welcome back! Just in time for chronicles.
You all have a decision on what should be done with Gellion. And Part 1 comes to a close. I'll make one final post for it once you've discussed and decided what you recommend be done with him.
I'll get chronicles issued. I'm good to move on to part 2 if everyone else is still interested. I know June and early July lost some momentum between Paizo issues and my power being sporadic for a bit, but I'm certainly good to continue.
Everyone will be receiving 3 xp (so a full level), 4 PP, and just over 1400 gp. (I'd give you the exact amount, but on the wrong computer, and I figure 1400 will let you start shopping.) These are all cut in half for anyone on slow track.
Everyone was level 1 in the previous adventure, so it was evergreen for all. The next one will be the only play at level 2+ assuming everyone levels. (It will still be playable at level 1.)

I'm definitely still interested in continuing.
I've never received a chronicle with 3 xp before. Starting with 0 xp for Truddig, do I still have an opportunity to rebuild before applying the chronicle? I don't anticipate any major changes, but the build could definitely use some tweaking, I think.
I'm open to player suggestions on the rebuild as well, especially since we have quite a bit more gaming together with these characters. (FYI, Truddig is intended as a melee Druid. The monk level was to get him some of the melee combat ability early; he'll be leveling in Druid almost exclusively from here on out.)

Yes, you can definitely rebuild and refine now, before we start part 2.
Just thinking forward on your builds, if you go normal track, part 2 and 3 are both worth 3 xp as well (so you get 1 level each adventure) and after the third part, there is a bonus chronicle good for an additional 3 xp that gets you all the way to level 5.
I'll also give anyone a last chance if they would like this credited at slow track. It would mean you don't level up for part 2, but it also means level 2 is played as a level 1 character as well, meaning it isn't "burned" as far as your 1 play above level 1. This isn't something that matters for most people, but some people try to get 3 plays through this module, and going slow on the first part you do each time is what makes that work.

We should probably try to get back up to 6. Truddig will be purchasing a clw wand with pp, and due to his new druid level, will be able to use it himself. So we don't necessarily need a cleric, per se.

I think I've got my character leveled, sans equipment. I do need to choose one more language I know, however. Any suggestions?

If there is still a space available I would like to apply.
I have 2 other characters waiting GM Thrawn's up-coming 8-07 game.

opps. posted on the wrong thread and a day too late. Maybe next time. Good luck and good hunting to all.
