These alchemists. I would have had a small army of something or others to defend me...then again, he was missing much of his face, possibly his brains as well."
Xoricon stalwartly stands guard as Kyra searches. No one shall lay a hand on her!

Half-Face carries the following items:
one potion, wand of acid arrow (12 charges), acid (2), alchemist's fire (2), smokestick, tangletoot bag, studded leather, mwk dagger, iron key, a strange looking vial.
In the room you find his alchemical setup, under the bed is a small chest containing his formula book, a bag filled with 154 gp, 55 sp, and 82 cp, and a single dose of an extract.
Two potions of cure moderate wounds.
This vial is a arconolembic, it contains a potion of cure moderate wounds.
This is a single dose of unnuent of timelessness.

Spellcraft check (potion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Spellcraft check (extract): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Ashara examines the potions and the extract making sure of their contents:"Seems like this miscreant had a couple of healing potions and and unguent of timelessness. Pretty powerful stuff for an outlaw I'd say. As for the vial I can't be sure, it's obviously obove my expertise with such matters"

We can take the stairs from B5, assuming no one else can try the vial. We should divvy up the useful stuff here first though. Kyra might take the smokestick and an vial of alchemist's fire but that's probably all.

![]() |

You move on to the next room B11. Opposite a bench in the center of this room are a pair of stone statues set into alcoves, each one looking like a vaguely humanoid collection of gears and blocks. Unlike the other statues in this place, these appear to be mostly intact.
The statues are animated objects, but not finished yet. Each construct has a hole in its chest, roughly the size an apple. The crystal you found near the drilling machine earlier would fit in that hole.

![]() |

Xoricon! You have "arcane" in your class archetype name! What's the deal? How can you not have knowledge (arcana)? ;)
"Hm. Statues."
Stair down to B5?

![]() |

How awful... We are just a band of murderhobos!!!! The SHAME!!!! :P
As for where we should search for our next vict... ahem... where we should adventure next, I suggest we take the small passage leading west from B5

![]() |

Ashara leads the group through a passage in the western wall. The passage ends in a room. This long chamber has four alcoves along the western wall. The outer two contain visible statues, and the center two are recessed. Corridors stand opposite the northern and southern statues.
The northernmost statue is of a figure in robes, with one arm outstretched as if welcoming those coming from the north to venture down the corridor opposite it. The statue in the southernmost alcove holds up its hands , as if to stop those coming from the opposite corridor. The northern center alcove contains a bronze statue of a human figure, leaning forward and looking as if it is blowing the winds from its lips. The southern center alcove contains a silver-colored statue of a human, leaning back as if deeply inhaling.
The statue is an exhaling fire statue, a trap created to push a target against the wall on the opposite side with a blast of flames.
the statue is an inhaling frost statue, a trap created to pull targets into the alcove by a freezing wind.

She look to the statues but...
Perception bronze: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Perception silver: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
"That´s an ugly way to dacorete a dungeon..."

Kyra steps forward musing.
"Perhaps they are guardians of some sort? Xoricon, you have proven good at this sort of thing, attempt to infuriate them into attacking."

![]() |

"Perhaps I should recite the history of the Qadiran-Taldan conflict," says Xoricon with a wink.
"Does anyone have any paper? A bit of fluff? Let's see if these two are actually inhaling and exhaling. I'll walk it to Ser Bronze first if you've got it." Xoricon twirls his spear and awaits some scrap of parchment to dangle in front of bronzed lips.

![]() |

What need do we have to pass through this corridor? We've already got a safer way to get back from where we started if need be
Ashara moves out of the room uninsteressed by the narrow passage:"I don't think this place offers anything worth our while, we certainly have other places to explore down here before going back out..." so saying the silver cursader moves bacl to the previous intersection

"Let us head this way." Kyra points south along the crevice bisecting the path between the hallway B4 and the central chamber B5 with her glowing scimitar.

Kyra leads the group through a tunnel into another cavern. This crumbling cavern looks like it was made by some sort of drilling device that tore through the surrounding stone. A large pool of stagnant water fills part of the cavern, fed by a rivulet that runs from the ceiling. Thick sheets of webbing hang from the roof of the cave.

![]() |

Sarvin looks at the webbing closely while Xoricon pulls out a vial of alchemist's fire. Xoricon has the right sense, because suddenly you see a big spider lurkin in the webbing above your heads while thousands of small spiders start to cover the floor.
Ini Ashara: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Ini Kyra: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17
Ini Sarvin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Ini Tuca: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Ini Xoricon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Ini Giant Spider: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Spider Swarm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
The giant spider is a Giant Black Widow Spider.

I know that according to the rules a square must not be occupied by two creatures, but the room is too small for both large critters :P

Swarms can though.
Kyra casts a blessing upon herself and her companions.

![]() |

I think we have a problem... If I throw the alchemist fire on a square without people it is a -4 + -4 + -4 =-12 to hit?(Is it right?), and if I move I can´t throw the fire until the next turn (too much distance)

![]() |

Kyra can still move if you want drop the stuff point blank. She's going to have to move regardless if you ware delaying.

![]() |

Moved back as part of my previous action when I cast guidance on Tuca, it probably means the swarm had an attack of opportunity and I forgot to mention i moved (or move the avatar)

![]() |

A bit complicated, I hope I can solve this according to your advices
Kyra casts a spell and moves back to the other room. Tuca waits for a clear line before dropping her vial at the swarm. The swarm moves 1 left, 2 right: 1d2 ⇒ 1 towards Xoricon.
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 + poison (DC11 Fort), + distraction (DC11 Fort)
Aoo for Xoricon
Ashara casts a spell at Tuca and moves back as well.

She throws the alchemist fire against the swarm in the place where it won´t hit Xoricon.

Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Sputtering and brushing spiders off his moustaches, Xoricon beats a hasty retreat.
Yow--distracted is like nauseated for a round!
Am I really at 5/16 HP? I think I missed some healing that happened before...
