Ashara shakes her head:"I think we should backtrack to the rooms we have already cleansed and barricade ourselves where we found the earth golem. We are surrounded by the unknown here while those passages were narrow and easy to defend if needed" she finishes smiling at the others.

"Right. You two take the table into that room." Kyra points back down the tunnel.

You carry as much equipment as possible to the room created by the drilling machine and set up a barricade.

how long do you want to rest?

Sarvin grabs one end of the table and heads down the tunnel.

"Perhaps if we had a rug to pull this whole place together it wouldn't look like such a dungeon." *sigh.*

As long as it's needed to get us to recover our spells and channels I guess

Ashara nods in agreement with Kyra:"Yes, it would definitely look nicer at least!"

While she helps and looks around nervously...

"This is going to be my first sleepover on a dungeon..."

"Don't worry, Tuca; we can tell ghost stories to pass the time," says Xoricon with a grin. "Ahem, we'll sleep in shifts. Any hour to take watch is fine with me."

You gather together in the corner-room and after you set up the barricades you rest. You don't know if it's day or night outside. You prepare your bed rolls for a sleepover in the laboratory and tell ghost stories and after defining the watch duties you all get enough sleep to heal and recover spells.

"South! And then perhaps across that wide central chamber through the doors to the west, then south again. And we'll need to find a big rug to pull this room together with."

Anyone else need further healing? Remember you get some from rest.

If allowed we could just have used what was left of our channels before getting to sleep.

"I'm ok with that. Now that we are at full strength again we are much more likely to complete this exploration without accidentally getting ourselves killed!" says Ashara with a laugh.

Probably better to keep some of the channels just incase there are any pesky undead roaming about.

Marcy, collect the secret ballots!

"Excellent!" With two-thirds of the important votes in Kyra, calls the election. "South it is."

Xoricon raises a finger, opens his mouth, then closes it. He quietly hums a tune about Qadiran women popular in Taldor...

Sarvin follows Xoricon and Kyra down the hallway.

You move further to the south and down the hallway. At the end of the hallway is a door.

This chamber appears to be equal parts study, laboratory, and personal quarters. A bed sits in one corner, and bookshelves line another. Before the recessed southern wall sits a table covered in a wide variety of alchemical devices. Thick green smoke pours from the devices, covering the chamber's floor in a foul-smelling vapor. A man, his face half burned, and an iron cobra are occupy this room.

The man is not pleased to see somebody intrude his laboratory and attacks.

"Krenar Half-Face, the alchemist. Getting make-up lessons from Nethys, I see."

Xoricon will begin his bardic performance when he can.

"You know this man? Why am I not terribly surprised you know this man?"

"I've never seen him before in my life. You know him? If you do, tell him to surrender"

"Know of him. An infamous alchemist, reckless in the ways of magic, who seeks to unlock the secrets of Nhur Athemon."

The odd turn of phrase causes Kyra to do a double take. Bards.

She looks to the alchemist and with a suspicion.

"For sure I don´t know anybody like that"

After that she gets her bow and arrows ready.

Xoricon begins his Bardic Performance, regaling the adventurers with a rousing tale from the Shackles involving the wrong kind of mermaid. He moves into the room, keeping his spear at the ready.

Tuca shoots an arrow at the alchemist while Xoricon begins his performance. The arrow is deflected by Half-Face's leather armor.

Half-Face picks up a bomb and throws it in front of Sarvin's and Ashara's feet. the intersection between them, AC5

Xoricon crunches into the iron cobra with his iron spear.

"This thing is hard to kill..." he notes.

"Sarenrae guide us!"

Kyra moves into the room trying to aoid getting in Tuca's way.

Sarvin gets past the cobra and stabs the alchemist deeply into the chest. The man shouts back. "You will become one of my experiments if you don't turn around and leave my laboratory immediately!"

Xoricon moves to the side and crunches his iron spear into the iron cobra. The spear makes a dent into the cobra's hull. Kyra prays to Sarenrae and asks for blessing.

Cast cause fear, if Ashara suceeds then she casts the same spell on the cobra, otherwise she tries to cast it again on half face

Ashara casts a spell at the alchemist and suddenly the man's face changes. His eyes widen and he attempts to flee. Ashara tries to do the same with the cobra, but the animal is not affected by the spell. immune to mind-affecting effects

Tuca shoots another arrow at Half-Face which just hits a bottle in his hand. Xoricon hits the cobra with his spear and the mechanic snake drops to the ground.

The frightened alchemist tries to excape, moving away from Kyra and through the door next to Tuca. double move, Aoo for Kyra and Tuca

Ashara tries to finish the fleeing half face off with a well aimed crossbow bolt between the shoulders...

"Stop right there you coward!"

Kyra slashes at the fleeing alchemist and hits him very hard. The wound in his belly is bleeding heavily. He continues to flee, but a bullet from Sarvin's pistol hits the man in the head and he drops.

Rushing past the fleeing alchemist led Ashara and Sarvin to another hallway with double doors to the north, a wider opening to the south where you see a room behind and another hallway to the west.

"Hrmph." Kyra sheathes her blade and has a look around.

She takes her time. Take 20 for 24.
