"Well...I guess that's done then. Priscilla...perhaps you can lead us in saying a few words for the dead? No need for the soul to suffer for what the body has sowed."
The poor thing must be completely shaken up...hopefully having purpose will restore her sense of normalcy.
"Afterward we can check into the area Chanix has scouted out."
Take 20 to search the bodies & room if there's time...otherwise I'll take 10.

While Alejia is getting her neck snapped, Toren decides to walk back to the crate containing the salt and scoop some up carefully and put as much as he can in his sack.
Afterwards he comes back to the cave, finding the corpse searching scene...
***NINJA EDIT***
"Well, it should brighten our moods to do what Tal suggests and look into yon passage, shouldn't it?"

His task complete, Markus drops Alejia's body so Chanix can search it.
Retrieving his discarded knives and picking up the wounded Grigo, he addresses the group.
"You mentioned a chamber with guard dogs? We should see what they were guarding."
Can Grigo get a hit off a wand?

Once certain the scholar is doing OK. Priscilla looks with shock at Marcus and the rest of her companions. "Physically yes Artemis, but what has just transpired here I don’t believe is acceptable to myself or the Pathfinder society. If you had killed her in the heat of battle fine, but in cold blood! I believe she was still in possession of valuable information; we did not need to decide her fate. May Desna guide us when we are adrift “

"Well, I was all for taking her back to Absalom. However, if she is literally going to be spewing poison at us the whole way back, I am a little less inclined to be watching out for her safety. I gave her every chance, and she did not take one of them."

After making his statement to go explore, Toren sticks his fingers in his mouth. Grumblingly he says, "Damnable Society and their damnable cold salt..."

![]() |

You already have full gold.
I'll assume this means we can't get anything else.
"Those dogs seem to be too happy or capable of doing anyone any harm. Best they meet their own fates."
Chanix scoops up the loot, offers an arm to the scholar and heads for the Tian ship.
When they reach the moored ships Chanix shouts towards the Lionfish.
"Smulwarts! Abandon the Lionfish! We're taking the Titan! Make sure we have a Riddleport flag too!"
Cue Goonies end scene

A glimmer of empathy is visible on the Varisian's scarred features.
"It is for the best. There's no room for innocence in this world."

If she has noticed, Priscilla may have selected to take some of the fruit and cold salts Originally happy about trying the exotic fresh fruit, Priscilla quickly looses taste for it. She will talk to the scholar if he regains consciousness. She will also do her best to distance herself from Markus, despite the role of the monkey.

Markus only grunts in response to the elf's words and continues sharpening his knives.
***
Several feet above, in the ship's rigging, the monkey chatters sadly.

![]() |

Toren looks around the group seeing the sorrow overtaking their thoughts. He grunts as he gets up from leaning on his shield and walks over to Artemis, taps him on the hip and beckons him to lean over, and whispers in his ear...

![]() |

"I suppose that would be fitting."
Artemis whispers back to Toren.
He then gathers the group on the deck of the ship.
"Now this is usually reserved for Taldan theater, and was one of Baron Jacquo's favorites."
He then launches into a bawdy tale about Zarta's odd taste in partners, hoping to garner some laughs from the downcast group.

The trip back to Riddleport is subdued - still everything was achieved that you had been send out to do.
The Cypher Guild is very grateful that you managed to rescue the scholar.
Debt of Cyphers: You rescued ex-Pathfinder and Cyphergate scholar Hirako Gurukaza from the hands of pirate kidnappers. In thanks, he has spread your name among the Order of the Cyphers. When in Riddleport, you gain a +2 bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Linguistics checks when you consult Gurukaza before making the check. In addition, the Order’s connection to some of Riddleport’s more powerful criminal elements also provides you a future benefit in the form of a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks made in the city to gather information.
Also you actions seem to spread ahead of you and folk avoid any confrontation with you in taverns and other places.
Riddleport Respect: Word of your defeat of pirate captain Alejia Netrav has spread throughout Riddleport, and you’ve earned the respect of the criminals and thugs that call the city home. When you flex your muscle, folks in the City of Cyphers pay attention. You receive a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks made in Riddleport as a result.

Just a few more actions:
For the Archerboon that we played a week ago - please select one of the two boons and let me know which one you like.
Debauchery: While the faithful of Erastil slept, you indulged in private parties, drinking, and trysting, and nothing can ruin your mood. Until the end of the scenario, you suffer a –1 penalty on saving throws against sleep effects that would make you fatigued or exhausted. You also gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against spells with the emotion descriptor, and on spells and effects that would make you shaken, frightened, or panicked. When this boon is used, cross it off your Chronicle sheet.
Diligence: You retired before midnight in order to be alert and awake for work the next day. Until the end of the scenario, you gain a +2 competence bonus on all saving throws against sleep effects or effects that would make you fatigued or exhausted. When this boon is used, cross it off the Chronicle sheet.
I can guess which character took which based on your action - but better not guess.

Debauchery for Archerfeast. I don't have a day job.

I already got an Archerfeast boon on another character and I don't think you can get more than one.
Profession: Organgrinder 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
