Did none of the sleeping glasses survived?
"Could anyone tie the Siswa up? They can wake up at any time now."
GMGhost1776
I can't believe I forgot that 2 of the sleeping gas vials survived, I was getting ready to type that up when I found your post.
You also find 2 intact vials of the sleeping gas. The only thing that shows up as magic is the sleeping gas.
Also, the word "KESINI" can now be seen above the north alcove, it means 'entrance' or 'in' in an old dialect of Elvish.

"Could anyone tie the Siswa up? They can wake up at any time now."
"Not if Furnok's an example of the gas, he was just at the edge, and he's stouter than any of those elves. Here, that phial, do you know the brownish crystals? Can't be sure, but..."
Arean doses Furnok with the salts, waving them under his nose. Russ is long gone from the horrid ammoniac scent, though he's still nearby, watching Furnock, as the salts take effect.
"And based on that, let's share out those salt-bottles, if it's a weapon of the household. And Ikvvy's correct, best to bind our elven hosts, until we might set right their minds and manners."
"And that's a very pretty dagger..."
Arean Star-Eyed

Kesini... so we need one that says kesOUTi? :-)

^_^
"And that's a very pretty dagger..."
What dagger?
"I'll have one. If any of us fail to resist it I can use them. Are we ready to move, or would you like to wake one of them to interrogate?"
Arean Star-Eyed
"The other alcoves promise similar powers. Their sources and destinations, would be known. And should be known to us. Far better than going on with no map. Better to hood-wink them, so that even if rescued by the others, they know of no one but me."
"So yes, bind them, to the bars of the alcoves, each perhaps assuming himself alone."
As Furnok responds to the fumes, Arean corks and stores the phial among the bits of her garb.
"What happened? You all hid well enough, and the Siswa saw only me. Enough of me, and less enough threat, and me beside asking to be taken to the Rahib... one of them dropped his sleep-magic alchemy grenado. Which slept the rest... and you and Braden. Clear your head, and please then, bind one to the bars there, and one there... all as separate as we might make them. We'll wake them one by one, and see what might be learned. Good they brought the salts, eh? Kisses failed to wake you.", Arean smirks faintly.
Braden Swanson
"Oh, my head. That was worse than the time I downed a mug of Orcish grog. We need to stay FAR apart next time." Brad pushes himself onto his feet again.

Ikvvy, now visible, closes the door heading east and approaches one of the tied up Siswa, chosing one who seems to have a higher authority (if any signs show). She uses the salt to wake him, then closes the vial again.
"Hello! Good morning gentleman, we have some questions for you, and we wish you to grant us good answers, in case everyone will get happy! Got it? Ok, first one, what's your name, and what did you think you were doing?"

The guard you woke up seems to only understand Elvish.
You notice now that all four are wearing the same kind oversized robe, with markings of some kind on them.
The Elf answers Ikvvy "My name is not for outlanders. We follow our lord Rahib's orders to detain any not of our order until their usefulness can be determined"
Arean Star-Eyed
"Do your people have a disdain for their women?", Arean asks of Eldrian. "Might it be better your voice, asking our questions? I'll stand in sight, all glow-eye and smolderin', if you think that'll serve."
Ikvvy
Elvish "Rahib is an outlander. He got here only 3 weeks ago, and has no relation to the Siswa at all. So, show us you're a truthful member and tell me how is it that Rahib is your leader? He has not studied here, and is not a descendant, by blood or knowledge, of Elyas."

"Somehow, I don't think this is gonna work," quips Brad as the ladies attempt interrogation.
Marcos DeAngelis
"Perhaps after the others witness the demise of one of their comrades, they will be more forthcoming."
Ikvvy
Ikvvy quickly motions for the others to avoid worrying about it, specially Braden. She speaks in common to them. "Don't worry about it, for now. Worst case scenario we will be just like when we got here, knowing nothing."
GMGhost1776
"The Rahib is all powerful, deserving of our praise and loyality, he looks after us and cherishes us." The Elf says.
Arean Star-Eyed
Not really up for cold-blooded murder like that. Especially since they are just some brainwashed townies.
"Well spoken. Still, whatever we learn from them short of blood, is more than we knew coming in. And we've robes enough, perhaps, that the next lot might be approached by ruse? I do wonder, if there's enough of the gas about, that we might spare all bloodshed? I doubt our stock of two will be enough."
Ikvvy
"Gosh, they are certainly enchanted... I've been thinking, Eldrian, why don't you take one of their uniforms to pass as one of them, in case we need?"
She guarantees no one is immediately threatening the man and motions a hand towards his head, rotating her fingers.
"Charm Person!"
Arean Star-Eyed
"If need be, yes. We may go straight to Rahib in that way."
"We might indeed. We've enough robes for the menfolk, your talent for invisibility, an elf of our own to repeat whatever mantras we learn from these bound four, and I might appear a subdued Rahasia, long enough to lure him to arm's reach. I could wear a veil in her fashion, hands seeming bound near my throat, and with the salts within, be immune to their gas, long enough to wake the rest. We could make that our ploy. But we still don't know where to go..."
Marcos DeAngelis
"Sounds good to me. Misdirection and shenanigans will get them to within reach."
Ikvvy
"What a pity, you would be so much happier. But it is your call, so," - she looks at both teleportation circles leading out - "by which one of the exits do you want to be thrown through?"
After he answers, and if he does, Ikvvy adds:
"And where does that leads to?"
Arean Star-Eyed
If one of those leads outside, then he can just head back and alert everyone.
Arean whispers to Furnok, "His answer is not our bond."
Arean Star-Eyed
Arean continues to whisper to Furnok, "You see? Now, we can take his word, or we can cosh him unconscious and try the next. We may at least learn how to flee, should it come to that. Or possibly, how to proceed."
Ikvvy
"Let's move, then. He will tell us nothing usual, and whatever he already has is probably wrong."
We knock him unconscious, put the gag back into place and move to the room to the east, checking whats beyond the doors to the east and south.
Marcos DeAngelis
"This is a dangerous move. Leaving live enemies behind us can prove quite a costly mistake."
Arean Star-Eyed
"If we bind them well, and hoods beside, we might leave them less likely to struggle free. I favor that risk against the cost of their lives. I do wish your spell had found purchase in his mind, sister. Our knowing more might let us be more gentle with these, mind-twisted elves. Or, it might tell us, mercy is undeserved. I would hope for the first."
Furnok of Ferd
Once they are out of earshot of the elves
I'm up for tying them up and knocking them out, just keep in mind if they get out and draw arms against us I am not that inclined to use the blunt edge. They have those vials that can knock a bunch of us out and can do whatever they want so if they try a second time I can't promise anything.
Arean Star-Eyed
"Indeed. Strike with teeth, if teeth are all you have. And teeth must strike for throats. But when fate hands us a sleeping man, known as a good man, in thrall of evil? I would not have us stained with such blood, not done coldly."
Ikvvy
"Yes, keep our casualities at a minimum. When these four do not return they will imagine something happened, but by then we will hopefully be at the Rahib." She will take a peek to the southern door (preferably through the glass windows, if there are any).
GMGhost1776
Just to be clear you've left the Portal room and it's unexplored doors to the north and south and gone into the room marked 36? I'm going to go with that and if that's not the case we'll have to retcon a little.
There are no windows in any of these doors
The walls of this 30-foot-wide octagonal room are covered with aged fresco paintings of trees and peaceful mountain scenses.
Right after Ikvvy finishes speaking a stately elf with piercing, yet gentle eyes and a melodious voice, appears in the middle of the room he seems to flicker in and out of existance. In his cheast is a gaping wound which bleeds freely.
"My daughter's pain I sought to ease.
By the Rahib's hand
was I here felled and long awaited
you to come."
"Rahasia's pain
I have dearly felt
But you have come
to free her."
"Hasan is in the doungeon south;
My Gold is toward the North.
An ally in the Dragon Guard
Waits before the gold."
"The Rahib is but a pawn;
a darker evil lies below.
The Dragon Guard knows the story
and guards the way below."
After the word below he fades away and is gone.
Ikvvy
Sorry, I did not realize those were doors.
"Damn! Now we are screwed" - says Ikvvy already thinking about the reflections with Adrais' death. "Do you want to go straight to the Rahib or would it be wiser to search the whole complex, including those two doors behind us?"
Eldrian
"I do not want to walk straight into a trap. Let's be careful and see if we can find someone, perhaps this 'ally', that we may be able to get information from."
Arean Star-Eyed

"Thank you.", Arean says softly.
"Toward the ally, then? After the rooms behind?"
Marcos DeAngelis
"Sure, sounds good. Lets get as much help here as we can. And gold doesn't sound like a bad idea, either."
Marcos loosens his blade in its sheath, and keeps a javelin at the ready, eyes scanning for trouble.
