"Reckon our Ddraig could pull 'un?" Healaugh sounds hopeful.


Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4

Well, Ddraig's game to give it a whirl! How heavy are we talking?


The chariot can accommodate 3 people snugly (but only really meant to take 2), and is designed to be drawn by two horses. I think Macmoor and Ddraig could lug it at a pinch, but it will be slow going and it is now evening. It's worth 400gp.

Ynyr has the head already, nicely embalmed with a Gentle Repose ritual.

"Twere joke, our Ddraig."

Ynyr looks very doubtfully at the chariot.

"Well if we are trying to take this through the forest I think that would be extremely foolish, do you know. So I am suggesting that we ask if there is any food we can bring from this place and collect Healaugh's lady friend and make our way back to the Ri Conn, because do you know, I have not cast that gentle repose ritual before and it would be a most unpleasant thing to have to be carrying a decomposing boar's head, I am thinking."

Healaugh scuffs his feet a bit.

"Not to say she wouldn't make fine net-mender, but happen she's other plans."

As the heroes take the head back (along with Yara), darkness falls and they come to the glass crater again.

So, you need to get the head and Yara down. Skill challenge time! 6 successes before 3 failures. If the challenge is failed, you get across the crater but you each lose a surge. I will accept a skill if you provide a good description of how it can be used. I will then give you a DC to hit.

Athletics - good old-fashioned climbing and jumping.

Macmorr tackles the crater head-on - jumping down and trying to climb out.

Male Elf Druid 4

Perception? To look for handholds, rough portions, and the like? 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25


Male Human Artificer 4

Thievery, on much the same basis. Ynyr is looking for useful places to attach ropes to help the less able (including himself) clamber down.

Acrobatics - so even if he falls he can tumble down safely.

Healaugh considers the surrounding landscape and looks for suitable handholds.

Yara replies, "You guys have got a lot more experience than me... at climbing glass craters, that is."

Ghadmyr helps Yara across the crater, and hopes not to get too worn out by the ordeal. Endurance 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Ynyr looks suspiciously at the ground, trying to work out where Ghadmyr went wrong before making his own descent and offering a hand to Yara on the way.
