Male Halfling Bard 4

Don't forget, it's your party, you can slide if you want to.

M Human Barbarian 4

One to the left, just to be on the safe side.

Fair enough. After all that, it's Ghadmyr's turn!

Macmorr wrote:

Sorry, I don't follow. Please could you give me a grid ref?

M Human Barbarian 4

Actually, on reflection, I'll stay where I am.

Male Elf Druid 4

If no one has taken that surge, Ghadmyr will.

Ghadmyr shifts into the form of a raging panther and pounces at the bulette.

Wild Shape. Move to Q27. Darting Bite. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 vs Reflex. 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 damage on a hit. If that hits, I shift to T27, ignoring difficult terrain.

That's a crit, so make it 15 damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 and the bulette is restrained until EOMNT.

Male Elf Druid 4

Invisi-post?

Where did it go? It's in my recent posts, and I don't want to reroll it...

Male Human Artificer 4

Seeing nothing, but there were two new posts on the listing and only your last shows up.

Happens sometimes.

Here's your post cut and pasted. I think Macmoor took the surge. Is this correct?

M Human Barbarian 4

Time for a Second Wind, and then get up from prone. That's me done.

I didn't take the surge, as it wouldn't do me any good. Ghadmyr, as the frail elf, can have it instead. Just a flesh wound!

Male Human Artificer 4

Re-dotting.

Ynyr stays clear and tries to aid the big barbarian.

[ooc]Life Tapping Darts (Ref). On hit ally within 10 gets 10 temp hp. Miss - half damage and ally gets 5 temp hp.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
2d10 + 4 ⇒ (7, 5) + 4 = 16

Macmoor stands up and dusts himself down as Ynyr fires magical darts that infuse the warrior with new vigour.

5 temp hp to Macmoor. Rosey is in charge of the Boar now.

The boar lowers its head and gores once more.

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17 - inc flank bonus with Macmorr

Miss. Therefore, it backs up a square, shifting so the bottom left square is at T24.

Sorry :(

The thick armour of the mutated bulette shields it from the boar's tusks.

Ddraig skirts round the edge of the room (to Q29), Divinely Challenges his target and attacks the Bulette with Enfeebling Strike:

Enfeebling Strike v AC: (1d20+9=22, 1d8+4=7)

If that hits then, as I've marked it, it takes a -2 penalty to its attack rolls until the end of my next turn.

Fabes DM

Spoiler:
I'm going to be away now until Monday morning, so if my turn comes up again, please feel free to play me in!

Ddraig's sword bounces off the frustrated bulette as it tries to escape from Ghadmyr and fails. It breathes a belch of flame over the the warriors before clawing madly at the druid.

Fire Breath on Ddraig and Macmoor vs Ref: 11 and 16.2 fire damage to Ddraig and 5 fire damage to Macmoor

Ah well - so much for my temporary hit points.

Male Halfling Bard 4

Healaugh's waiting to see how badly Ghadmyr's hurt.

Male Elf Druid 4

On 8 hp.

Ghadmyr makes a savage attack.

Shift to t26. Savage Frenzy. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 vs reflex. 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 damage and it is dazed and slowed, save ends. Miss- half damage and slowed to EOMNT.

Male Halfling Bard 4

"Cludgie!"

Healaugh bellows at the bulette, hoping to take it off guard.

Vicious Mockery (Will). On hit, target takes -2 penalty to defenses to end Healaugh's next turn.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
1d6 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
AP: Canon of Avoidance on Macmorr (+2 all defenses to end next turn. Effect can be sustained and transferred to an ally within 10 as a minor.
Minor: Last Majestic Word on Ghadmyr. Heals surge plus 4 and Ghadmyr can slide one square as a free action.

M Human Barbarian 4

Time to unleash the beast - hopefully. Swift Panther Rage: 3d12+5 damage (half on a miss) and I get +2 to my movement and can shift 2 as a move action while raging. Here goes nothing....

Attack v AC1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16, damage 3d12 + 5 ⇒ (11, 12, 8) + 5 = 36

EDIT: the gods mock me. Ah well, 18 damage anyway.

Macmoor lets of a feral howl as he attacks but he can't quite get the measure of the mutant beast.

Male Elf Druid 4

Up to 21 hp. Just barely not bloodied. I don't really need the slide at the moment.

Male Halfling Bard 4

You might have hit it, Macmorr. If Ghadmyr hit it's dazed and granting CA and if Healaugh did, all defenses are at -2.

You can't shift - difficult terrain. But your attack hits. You can however use the slide from Healaugh to move to T26, as difficult terrain doesn't affect slides, so have put you there. Macmoor still missed.

Ghadmyr uses his primal power to attack the un-natural beast, as Healaugh calls it names from the sidelines. Macmoor unleashes his rage, savagely slicing into the bulette.

It's OK, I was staying where I was anyway.

Male Human Artificer 4

"This is a very bad thing, do you see. Very bad."

Ynyr comes to his own conclusions.

Aggravating Force (AC). On hit, next ally to attack target gains a +2 to attack roll.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18 - meh. But just in case.
1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 - force damage

BUMP for Ddraig and his turn as the Boar.

Ddraig and Boar delayed. I'll contact him and remind him.

Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4

Sorry for the delay!

The Boar turns and moves in for the gore:

Gore attack on Bulette v AC: (1d20+9=14, 2d10+3=12)

Meanwhile, Ddraig maintains his mark on the Bulette, and has another swipe at it:

Enfeebling Strike on Bulette: (1d20+9=15, 1d8+4=11)

Oh, never mind! Invisible Castle, be not my friend!

He then spends a healing surge and lays his hands on Ghadmyr (who can regain hp as if he'd spent a surge)

Male Elf Druid 4

Thanks!

[Cheers old chap. Bulette Fire Breath recharges. Standard - Fire Breath on WB, Ghadmyr and Healaugh (vs Ref, half dam on miss) 20 vs WB, CRIT on Ghadmyr, 24 vs Ref on Healaugh. 11 fire damage to Healaugh and the WB, 16 fire damage to Ghadmyr

As Ddraig and the Boar continue to batter the beast, it belches forth its horrid breath, battering the group with flames. Ghadmyr bears the brunt of it.

Move to R20 going behind the boar.
Second Wind. +2 all defenses to start next turn.

Healaugh backs up the corridor and tries to pull himself together as his clothes burn. He looks with some concern at the White Boar, now rather bloodspattered.

Sorry, boar is now next to Bulette. Boar is now BLOODIED and on 18 hp.

Male Human Artificer 4

"Oh, dear. This is not very promising, is it."

Ynyr worries.

Male Elf Druid 4

Bloodied

Ghadmyr, still in feline shape, takes a swipe at the bulette.

Grasping Claws. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 vs Reflex. 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 damage on a hit and the target is slowed (not that that matters in this little room).

That hits.

Ynyr faffs a little, sketching arcane symbols in the air and then waving his blade at the Boar before scrubbing out the symbol and redrawing it slightly differently for Ghadmyr's benefit.

Resistive formula on boar (minor). +1 AC and it can end the effect to regain a surge worth of hp +3
Curative Admixture (minor) on Ghadmyr. Target regains a surge of hp +2.

Male Elf Druid 4

Thanks! No longer bloodied.

M Human Barbarian 4

Howling strike: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 to hit, damage 1d12 ⇒ 12+5+1d8 ⇒ 6.

Offended by the fact that it is still standing, Macmorr hews at the mutated beast.

This must be the worst fight for dice rolls I have ever been in. I hasn't needed an AC much higer than 15 to avoid me.

Macmoor's weapon bounces off its hide with an effect that might be comedic were it not for the fact that the heroes are fighting for their lives.

I think the boar will second wind if it hasn't already done so. And shift one square away to the west if it can.

Duly noted.

Male Halfling Bard 4

Ddraig, I guess?

Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4

Sighs ...

Ddraig, getting sick of seeing his sword bounce off the Bulette, retains his mark and swings again:

Enfeebling Strike (again!) v Bulette: (1d20+9=26, 1d8+4=5)

Dear deity, that might actually hit!

Assuming that that hit, the Bulette takes a measly 5 damage, but takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of my next turn.

"You will die, abomination, by my hand or that of my comrades!"

Bulette Mutation: Standard - Second Wind. Move - Earth Furrow (no oas)

The bulette mutation roars its defiance and smashes into the earth, erupting outside the building, and toppling one of the retch palms over just outside the doorway.

The squares covered by tree outside the northern doorway are difficult terrain.

"Keep tha spirits up, our Macmorr, tes nowt but a big heap un-naturalness when alls said."

Healaugh ducks behind Ghadmyr and unleashes a devastating attack on the fleeing horror.

Move to U26 behind Ghadmyr.
Sustain Canon of Avoidance on Macmorr (+2 all defenses)
Vicious Mockery (Will) v Bulette
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
ROCK! Crits.
13 damage from the power and 2d8 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 from the crit. Total 22 damage to mutant nasty.

Male Elf Druid 4

Ghadmyr calls down lightning from the heavens on the bulette.

Shift back to Elven form. Call Lightning centered on M26 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 vs Reflex. 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 lightning damage. Effect: The burst creates a zone of rumbling thunder that lasts until the end of your next turn. While within the zone, any enemy takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls, and any enemy that leaves the zone takes 5 thunder damage.

Move to P28.
