"Do you know how to catch fish?" Laenid asks, resisting the temptation to kiss the cute kitsune.
She shakes her head, the expression on her face changing slightly. She looks out across the water, "No, not really. Yamamoto-Sensei and Makoto-Kun did most of the fishing and roasting. I mostly played in the water, ate, and did the dishes." She laughs a little softly at the memory, her eyes have the slightest bit of sadness to them before she tries to wipe the expression off of her face. "We didn't have a lot, but I never went without. When...when I started adventuring I didn't have any friends to share it with, and we led a simple life, so I just saved it. I thought that maybe one day I could use it to..." She shakes her head, "Then this mark showed up and before I knew it, Hitome was at our door and we were on our way here along with Gyrthr and Svanna who came from some other place."
She kind of shrugs, "It's okay though. No one can move forward if their head is always looking backwards.....or something like that."
Laenid wraps an arm around Jin. "It's alright. I know what you mean."
She takes a few more sips of her tea and looks down, "I don't know everything, and I'm not perfect....but, I try to just do the best I can...to help other people around me, the way Yamamoto-Sensei took care of me and helped me when I needed it the most. I try to honor Makoto's memory, and my Sensei's teachings by not letting the past dictate my future." She speaks softly but there is a sense of love and loyalty in her voice as she talks of the ones who made such an impact on her young life.
She looks up finally at Laenid with a trembling smile, "They wouldn't want me to live in the past and my Goddess brought me here for a reason, and she wouldn't want me spending the rest of my life punishing myself for something I had no control over either." Feeling the cool night air seep in around the blanket, she wraps one of her warm fluffy tails about Laenid, "If it's getting too cold we can head inside, but I'm fine to talk out here for a little longer if you are." She says before finishing her tea and setting the empty mug down on the little table next to her.
Carrying the quilt under her arm she hands Laenid one of the cups of tea while she takes the other one in her hand and opens the back door for her friend with the other.
"Thank you Jin. I think I'll have it up in my room and meditate for a while." Hitome replies. It was clear to her that the two summoners needed some time alone. Taking her tea up from the counter, she heads up to her room with a smile.
She looks at Hitome and kind of nods, "Okay, have a good night Hitome." She says as her midwife takes the tea and heads upstairs.

As the black widow advances, Anyka get a little grin on her face, an elegant, perfectly balanced dagger appearing in her hand with a deft movement. In an eyeblink she throws, the dagger tumbling end over end as it's magic takes effect, a pair of duplicates appearing alongside it, each weapon plunging deep into the spider's torso with breathtaking accuracy.
Laenid leans against Jin after finishing her tea. "As long as I'm with you, I'm fine. Just a couple more minutes out here though...We don't need to get sick."

Gashka just grins as her sister slips right back into her old deadly ways. This they knew, this they could deal with.
Ankya brings the spider to the edge of death and the other spiders move forward in response, two climbing on the walls and skittering beneath the black widow to attack Gashka and Ankya.

She nods, and wraps another tail around Laenid as well as an arm while Laenid leans into her. Everything just felt so....right. Sighing softly she kisses Laenid's forehead, "Okay Laenid, we can just sit here quietly and after we go in I can play for us while we warm up next to the fire in the hearth....or after I wash out our mugs we can just...go upstairs." She says with the slightest tinge of shyness to her voice before getting quiet and leaning her head on Laenid's shoulder as she listens to the sounds of the ocean. It really was beautiful out here. As she sits listening to the ocean with Laenid she starts to close her eyes.
Derika takes in the scene quickly and stretches out her hand while her eyes takes on an eerie glow in the semi darkness. Speaking an arcane command, four bolts of energy fly from her fingers. One hitting the Black Widow, while three of them hit the spider on the wall that was attacking Gashka.
Gashka tries not to scream as it feels like fire coursing through her veins.
Gashka curses as she feels the strength being drained from her body. They had to finish this quick or it could turn out really badly.
Laenid closes her eyes as well, listening to the waves and Jin's soft breathing. After a few moments, she wills herself awake. "Maybe we can go upstairs and warm up there."
She yawns softly. "I think I'm too tired for a fireplace tonight."
Jin yawns as well and stretches while pulling her tails out from around Laenid, "Hmmm? Oh yeah, of course. Okay, let's get back in the house. Sleeping out here is not a good idea right now." She says as she gets up and gathers up their mugs and the quilt she had laid over them. She lets Laenid get the door since her hands are full and follows her into the house. The warmth of the kitchen is inviting as she washes out the mugs and sets them on a towel to dry. Drying her hands she nods over at Laenid, "Alright, let's go get changed and get some rest."
Getting upstairs she goes into the bathroom and uses the facilities, washes her hands, cleans her teeth and takes her hair out of the many combs she uses to keep it up. It was a little strange to see her own natural face looking back at her in the mirror....but she didn't worry about it the way she used to. She knew she could trust Laenid and Hitome. It felt kind of nice to just be able to be herself, she had almost forgotten what that was like.
Going back into the bedroom she shares with Laenid she takes off her regular clothes that she had changed into at Naadhira's house after the mission, and puts on her thick red nightgown before pulling down the covers of the bed. She usually had Gyo come out and stand watch while she slept...but for some reason, she didn't feel the need to do that tonight as much as she usually did. As she climbs into the bed she can feel a sense of happiness and peace coming from Gyo. She smiles a bit at the feelings of reassurance she was getting from her connection to her eidolon. At some point she would introduce Gyo to Laenid, but for now...she thought Gyo was just happy that she was happy.

Laenid strips out of her hot weather outfit as Jin uses the bathroom. The other summoner finds her standing there in just her pink undies. "I think you still have my sleepwear in your bag."
She feels no shame being nearly nude in front of Jin, it was more than she was accustomed to wearing anyway.

She smiles, "See...those do look cute on you." She says going to the bag and pulling out the light blue warm sleep set for Laenid. Handing them to her she says, "There you go, but just so you know, I got that bag for all of us to use...so anytime you need anything that's in that bag, you go ahead and just get it okay?" She rubs Laenid's arm lightly for a moment before getting changed into her own sleep things and climbing up into the bed.
Laenid puts on the sleepwear, though she briefly considers coming to bed as is. Yet, they were going to take it slow and, no matter how much she wanted to...move things along, it was fine like that. She crawls into bed next to Jin and plants a soft kiss on the kitsune's forehead.
She smiles as Laenid kisses her forehead. Scooting closer to Laenid she cuddles up next to her and drapes one arm over her while laying her head on her chest, "This is nice, I like this. I...I used to call Gyo to stay at night with me so...so I wouldn't feel so alone, but...I don't think I need her now." She says, her voice getting a little softer and sleepy sounding as she yawns and snuggles into Laenid's side.
She crinkles her eyebrows slightly, "Laenid...are you okay with this?" She asks, not wanting to make Laenid feel uncomfortable.
"I'm fine with this," Laenid says, rubbing Jin's back.

Her eyes starting to close, her features seem to relax. With a soft smile on her lips she hugs Laenid lightly, "Mmmhmm...I'm happy...you're here." She says between little yawns.

Laenid runs her hand up and down Jin's back. "I'm happy I'm here too..."
Jin makes a soft thrumming sound that almost sounds like purring as Laenid's soft stroking of her back sends her into a deep, peaceful, and relaxed sleep.
Vishanti reaches forward, resting a hand on Gashka's shoulder as she utters a healing chant, some of her tattoos glowing as she neutralizes the spider's venom.
Hearing the half-orc scream, Eldan draws and fire his crossbow at the spider on the wall closest to Gashka.

Even thought she was hurt and she could tell she had been poisoned, she didn't feel herself losing control the way she used to. Instead, she gathers up her focus and strikes out at the eight legged freak in front of her, hoping to take it down a few notches.
The poison while weakening her a little and making it difficult for her second attack to hit, she does a decent bit of damage with one strike of her gauntlets. Looking over at Vishanti she says, "Thanks." As she tries to think of how best to get them some better maneuverability.

Chris fires his crossbow as well, trying to hit the spider Gashka attacked.

As she heads upstairs, Hitome puts away her gear, removing her boots, bracers and gloves, before moving to the clear section of her floor and working through a series of combat forms, the movements beautiful in their graceful elegance yet undeniably deadly, her body flowing through the movements, controlling her inner power.
After about an hour, she strips down to just her underwear and sits on her bed cross-legged in meditation, centring her mind and body as she communes with her goddess.
Hitome hears a knock at her window as she's meditating.
As her thrown dagger returns to her hand, the duplicates vanishing, Anyka lashes out with both it and her khukri.

Hearing the knock at the window, Hitome considers for a moment. It was extremely unlikely that an enemy would knock, and besides, she'd rather have a grasp of who or what it was before bothering Jin or Laenid. Opening her eyes, she gets up and goes to the window, making no effort to get dressed, but taking a moment to memorize the exact location of every piece of equipment in the room.

Arching an eyebrow in intrigue, Hitome opens the window with a curious smirk. "Hello Malyoxa, what brings you by? Is everything alright?"
She takes a step back, giving the exotic dark elf space to enter her room if she wishes.

Malyoxa steps into the room. "Oh, I was bored and you're the only person who had a light on. I brought wine."

Hitome cocks her head to the side for a moment as if studying Malyoxa's statement before smiling. "It must be a bit boring being awake when everyone you know here is asleep.In that case I feel a bit underdressed." she says with a chuckle, moving over to the dresser to find a robe.

"I've seen worse," Malyoxa says, waving her hand. "Once you've seen an old, wrinkled fat drow in 'traditional' clothing, there's nothing that'll ever faze you. Mind if I take a seat?"
Anyka manages to scratch her target. The spiders skitter around to attack Gashka and Anyka again.

"Make yourself comfortable." Hitome says with an amused smile. She found Malyoxa's blunt candor refreshing. "I can go downstairs and find a couple of glasses."

"Sounds good, if we want to be 'proper' and all," Malyoxa says with a grin. "Don't worry, I won't go peeking through your things."
After kissing goodnight, Rajni goes inside with Celine. Shamara comes into the kitchen and rubs against Celine.
Giggling, Celine pets Shamara while chattering at her.
Rajni smiles as she takes Celine's things upstairs. She comes down carrying Celine's dolly and bear.
Going into the living room, Rajni watches Celine play with Juhi and Shamara. She lets her play for a bit, and joins in with the girls. She growls and crawls around on the floor chasing the girls and growling. When she catches Celine she grabs her up and tickles her. As Celine starts looking tired, she lets her continue to play a little longer until she comes over to Rajni and crawls up in her lap.
Rubbing the small girl's back she asks, "Are you getting sleepy Celine?"
When Celine nods she stands up while holding her, "Okay, let's go potty and I'll tuck you in the bed, and then I'll read you a story okay?"
She nods, "Okay, Mara sleep too? Want the kitty Rajni, please?"
Carrying the tuckered out tot upstairs she nods, "Of course Shamara will sleep with you." After making sure Celine uses the potty, washes and dries her hands, washes her face, and cleans her teeth, Rajni changes her into the fuzzy pink sleep set that Arista had packed for her. Shamara gets up on the bed as Rajni tucks Celine under the covers. Handing her the bear and dolly, she pulls a book out of the pack and reads the story about a little girl on her way to grandma's house and a big bad wolf.
About halfway through the story, Celine is snoring softly. Rajni finishes the story and puts away the book. Turning down the lamp she leaves the door open a little before heading downstairs as Shamara stays on the bed, curled up next to Celine.
Getting downstairs, Rajni puts the water on for some tea.
Extending a hand, Vishanti whispers into the ether as glittering stardust seems to fall out of the air, covering the spider in front of Anyka and outlining the arachnid.
